(Let's start easy!)
Frederick Edgebuster appeared in a blue flash. Stumbling foward he grumbled. Holding onto his stomach. "Uhg, I should never have let her talk me into this!" Ignoring the stomach sickness he would pull out a large steel shield and his Mithril Great Sword. "Where the hell am I?"

Aster entered the massive arena by the front gates, peeking inside nervously to see if anyone else was there. She saw a single person. Aster stepped inside fully to get a better look at the arena. The gates slammed shut behind her loudly, causing her to jump in surprise. With light footsteps Aster dashed away to hide behind one of the pillars.

He saw the woman enter. "Hey! Where the hell am I!? What is this place!" He wondered as he looked around for anyone... then when he saw no one. He ran up towards the pillar that she hid behind. "Hey!" He yelled as he tried to find the woman.

Aster saw the man approaching her spot. She nervously backed away and looked around for somewhere else to hide. Aster sprinted off to another pillar just as he reached hers, hiding behind it again. "Can't you see? It's a battle arena! Leave me alone!" she yelled.

"Then what the hell is a girl like you doing here?" He asked with a confused look. Giving up the chase he would walk back to the center of the arena. "Great. She never told me about this..." He groaned as he looked around. Waiting for her to come out of hiding. "At least come fight me, I'll even give you a dagger."

Aster peeked from behind her hiding spot to look at him. She frowned slightly "I was just exploring... This place looked interesting and I heard rumors about it, so I wanted to see it for myself." she said. Aster saw the dagger in his hand. She panicked and quickly raised her arm, sending a wave of sharp green arcane energy at him.

"Wha-!" He raised his shield in front of himself. The shield held against the spell, but became super hot as he slid back a few feet. Bracing himself he looked up at her. She seemed more scared than anything. It must have been some sort of 'accident'. "Look... you want the dagger or not?" He grabbed it from his belt with his shield arm. "I won't kill you. To be honest, I was just sent her myself..."

Aster blinked, seeing he didn't react negatively. She saw him with the dagger again and shook her head vigorously, sending another strike of energy at him and backing away. Aster swung her arm at him and sent two more waves.

"H-Hey!" He jumped back and raised his shield in front of him. The first wave hitting it. He was thrown far back. Landing on his feet but rolling backwards. Though catching himself he saw the other waves of energy heading towards him. "I thought you didn't want to fight!" He complained as he sprinted to his left. Diving behind a pillar. He could feel the impact of a wave as it shook it. Dust falling on him.

Aster saw him take cover behind a giant pillar across the field. She trembled slightly, feeling her adrenaline rushing through her veins due to the two strikes of energy. "Then, quit pointing that dagger at me!" she yelled.

"It was the handle! THE HANDLE!" He yelled as he looked around the pillar. Seeing her standing out in the open. She clearly had no experience. Though he didn't really want to impale her with a sword... "Why don't you just leave?" He asked as he stayed behind the pillar. Letting the shield cool down.

Aster looked at the pillar. Well, why didn't she? Aster turned to walk over to the gates to open them so she could leave. She tugged on the gates but they didn't budge. She tugged again, nothing as before. Her eyes widened slightly. "I...can't. It's locked!" she yelled. Aster continued to tug on the gates trying to somehow pry them open.

He looked out from the pillar. She seemed like she was serious this time. "What do you mean locked? Are you just lying to me so that you can take some more free shots?" He asked as he stood up now. Leaning out to see if anyone else was around before walking towards her. He would keep his distance though... maybe she was going to send more waves at him.
