Shinobi Types

Shinobi types are free additions to your character. Every type gives an inherent bonus, enhancing a specific style of play. Choose wisely, and consider all your options, both here and in other areas, to build the best character you can.

Every character is allowed a maximum of two ninja types.

Offensive: These ninja train almost exclusively with offensive ninjutsu, and utilize them with much greater power than other ninja.
[+1 Rank to Offensive Ninjutsu]

Defensive: These ninja train almost exclusively with defensive ninjutsu, and utilize them with much greater power than other ninja.
[+1 Rank to Defensive Ninjutsu]

Long Range: These ninja train extensively in long range jutsu, learning to strike with the most power possible, at the longest range possible.
[+1 Rank to jutsu with a base range over 15 Feet, +10 Feet to ranged jutsu]

Support: These shinobi generally back up their allies from behind the lines, and learn to fire jutsu faster than other shinobi by virtue of reducing the number of seals needed to fire a jutsu.
[Jutsu below the user's rank do not require hand seals, Jutsu of equal rank require half the normal seal, Jutsu of higher rank are unaffected]

Speed: Speed type ninja train themselves to move faster in every way, easily outpacing their peers.
[+1 Rank Speed]

Strength: These shinobi focus on physical power, training their muscles to be stronger than others of their rank.
[+1 Rank Strength]

Tactical: These are the Shinobi most often to be picked as leaders of shinobi teams, able to come up with strategies and adapt to battlefield conditions quickly and efficiently.
[+1 Reaction Speed]

Summoning: These ninja have chosen to specialize in the summoning arts, and are able to learn to summon earlier than anyone else, and quickly learn to summon stronger summons.
[Able to learn a summon at Genin Rank, Able to summon one rank above the user's own]

Ability Control [{Ability}]: Some shinobi choose to specialize in a specific branch of jutsu, and are much better in that area than any other. This area can range greatly, from a single taijutsu style, to a branch of universal jutsu, or a unique bloodline's abilities. (Does not cover elements, or elemental bloodlines.)
[+1 Rank to chosen ability, -1 Rank to all other techniques]

Elemental Control [{Element}]: These ninja choose to specialize in a specific element, making that element much more powerful than normal. In addition they are able to draw on nature to fuel their element, making it even more powerful in an environment reflecting that element. However, due to this focus, jutsu not of the chosen element suffer.
[+1 Rank to chosen element, +2 Ranks near elemental advantage, -1 Rank to all other techniques]

Chakra Control: These ninja have focused their training on chakra control, fine tuning their control such that they waste less chakra when using any jutsu.
[-1 chakra point cost for Genin techniques, -2 for Chuunin, -3 for Jounin, and -5 for S Rank]

Chakra Battery: These shinobi have much larger chakra stores than their peers, making them able to use more chakra techniques at a time without running dry.
[+1/10 Base Chakra Modifier]

Combo User: The combo type is for ninja who use there jutsu in a chain to help deliver a devastating overall effect. Stringing multiple jutsu together, these ninja are dangerous, allowing them to overwhelm their opponents with the sheer number of jutsus they can perform.
[Can use 2 jutsu per post, at Jounin can use 3 jutsu per post ]

Powerhouse: Opposite to the combo type, these ninja don't care for the rapid fire tactic, but instead focus on spending the extra time to get a little bit more power out of their jutsu. The longer they hold a jutsu before firing, the more powerful it is.
[Sacrifice post actions to increase jutsu power by .5 ranks per action. Cannot have Combo type.]

Jutsu Crafter: Some ninja, rather than learning jutsu to fight, learn to create. These rare individuals go on to create new jutsu, expanding the arsenal of their clan, their village, or just their friends.
[Unlimited personal custom jutsu. (Must pick a single field, Nin, Gen, Tai, Fuuin, etc.)]

Weaknesses

Weaknesses are just that. Aspects of your character that weakens them. Like types, these all effect certain areas of gameplay, reducing your effectiveness in those areas. When choosing weaknesses, it is against the rules to take a weakness that does not affect your character, such as taking Taijutsu Incompetence if your bloodline dictates that you cannot learn any taijutsu.

All characters must have a minimum of two weaknesses.

Taijutsu Incompetent: This shinobi has spent significantly less time on their physical skill than average. Because of this they are a full rank weaker than any average shinobi of their rank and are only able to learn one taijutsu/kenjutsu style, and only up to one rank below their own.
[-1 rank strength, Can only learn one Tai/Kenjutsu style up to one rank below your RPC's Rank.]

Less Elements: This shinobi can only have two elements. They gain their first at genin rank, and their second at jounin. In addition the shinobi cannot have a combination bloodline such as Mokuton or Hyoton, because they cannot attain a third element.

Weak Bodied: This shiniobi's body has grown weaker than other shinobi of their rank. While they may be as strong as the average shinobi they take an extra rank's worth of damage from ninjutsu and taijutsu.
[+1 rank damage from Ninjutsu and Taijutsu]

Weaker Ninjutsu: This shinobi has spent significantly less time than average on their ninjutsu skills, and as a result has become much weaker in their usage than the average shinobi.
[-1 rank Ninjutsu strength]

Genjutsu Intollerant: This shinobi's mind is more easily effected by genjutsu, which makes it much harder for them to recognize genjutsu or neutralize them with Kai.
[-1 rank to Genjutsu Resistance]

Slow and Steady: For one reason or another, this shinobi does not have the same level of speed as others, being much slower than average for their rank.
[-1 rank speed]

Chakra Deficient: These nina are born with a smaller chakra supply than normal.
[-1/10 base chakra]

Tactless: This shinobi isn't the brightest knife in the crayon box. This shinobi is not good at thinking on their feet, and is prone to messing up on detailed instructions if someone doesn't guide them through it step by step.
[-1 reaction speed]

Heavy Tread: This shinobi's stealth abilities leave something to be desired. Stepping on twigs just comes naturally to them.
[-1½ rank stealth]

Chaotic Chakra: This shinobi cannot control their chakra properly, making it more exhausting to cast nin and genjutsu.
[+1 chakra point cost of all Genin techniques, +2 for all Chuunin techniques, +3 for all Jounin, and +5 for all S rank]
