Allarian was feeling quite content with the way things were going down thus far today. What had started out as a quite ordinary day with little in the way of excitement potential had improved dramatically when he had, almost literally, stumbled over a massive anthill. He'd managed to regain his balance without experiencing any form of injury, and had immediately dropped to the ground for a closer observation of the scurrying insects at work. Motionless, the grey stallion resembled nothing so much as a large rock!
Ever since he was a foal, Allarian had been fascinated by the natural world. There were so many different sorts of creatures in just the Kawani lands, things ranging from the mighty bison down to the tiniest tick. He'd learned the art of quiet observation as a foal, lying down holding still when he would watch birds or rabbits at play, and it was a habit that continued to hold him in good stead as an adult. Animals of all shapes and sizes intrigued him, but insects had always held a particularly strong pull for the stallion. Consequently, he could get hours of entertainment out of something as simple as an anthill or a beehive.
Fortunately, he didn't really have any plans for today.
