For the time being she had avoided Daesat with ease, sticking to the shadows if she thought she’d glimpsed the older Orderite. It was in itself, a good practice at moving around without being seen. A lesson Dae had said she would learn once she was capable of defending herself. As it was turning out right now, she was far more skilled in evading than she was at killing things, but she knew at some point she was going to have to kill a dragon. It hurt Xenosa’s ego more than anything knowing she had no luck with killing even the weakest dragons available, but today she was determined to kill one!
But just because one is determined does not mean one will win. As it stood, Xenosa was met with another failure. She’d come so close to sticking a knife into the dragon, but had missed her target completely. Once the dragon had seen her, Xen was already taking off at full speed across the plains to lose the Ysali. While it was easy for her to slip closer and closer towards the dragons now a days, her aim was more than terrible from lack of practice. Xenosa would have to try harder if she wanted to get a kill.
As soon as she’d made it back home, Xenosa was testing out her throwing skills. They were far more off than she’d thought, and if she wanted to kill a dragon, her aim would have to be more than perfect. So for the rest of the day until she could no longer see, Xen trained herself to throw things, because next time she would kill a dragon. She would return to Daesat with an orb and she would finally be able to continue her training so she could leave her grandmothers forsaken home.
