On the surface: Among the gang members Alecia is usually soft spoken and sticks to herself. She tries very hard to keep up the masculine image she portrays as Seth, and in order to do so she prefers not to talk. Outside of the gang, where she is actually free to dress and act as a woman, she’s far more boisterous. She doesn’t like to keep her opinion’s to herself, and she’d much rather have problems out in the open instead of hidden behind closed doors. Obviously there are some exceptions, but in general Seth is her quiet and rule abiding persona, while Alecia is the one with spunk.
But deep down: The Valron family is traditionally a Swedish family. Even for members of their house living outside of the country, they continue to migrate back to their homeland at certain times of their lives, particularly for the birth of children and in their retirement. Such was the case during Alecia’s birth. Though her parents lived in Rokario city before she was born, they returned to their family home in Sweden. During her first few years of life, Alecia and her mother stayed in their home in Stockholm until her older brother stated school. At the age of three, Alecia moved back in with her father and brother in Rokario, leaving her mother behind while she was pregnant with Alecia’s soon to be younger brother. From then on, Sweden was just a childhood memory. She grew up in Rokario’s upper class district, attending private all-girl schools until high school when she demanded to go to a mixed gender high school. Unwillingly, her parents agreed, and she joined her older brother at his high school.
It was in her sophomore year that her family began to break down. Her younger brother, Josiah, decided to join a gang. He was a King at only twelve. Alecia was the first to hear of it, and thus was the first to try and convince him to get out while he still could, but her pleas fell on deaf ears. Luckily enough for them, his connection to the gang were not public knowledge, and he managed to avoid the firing line for so long that no real harm came of it for a number of years. Though there were often nights that little was heard from him, Josiah was usually safe and out of harm’s way even with all his gang action. That did, however, change around the time Alecia began attending the university. She was sitting in an economics class when word came from her elder brother that Josiah had been shot in the streets by a drive by shooter. Police investigations into the matter were limited, but in the time that followed her older brother began to get more and more contact from the King’s regarding the events that transpired. Gang wars were common place in the city, so as more evidence came to support the idea, it appeared more likely that the person whom had killed her younger brother was a member of the Queens, his gang’s major rivals. The hatred at the death of her brother drove Alecia to new extremes, and she vowed revenge on the Queens for killing the little brother she loved and protected. She used her emotions to develop an alternate persona by the name of Seth. Under this alias she joined the Kings, determined to end the gang warfare that had killed her brother, one way or another.
