He'd seen the fliers and had contemplated them for a while before deciding, Gale pacing back and forth in the living room of his little house. But maybe because of recent events and maybe because he just felt the need to do something more than he already was, he decided to take a chance and be a little...spontaneous.
Maybe.Bilious Text to Jerry:Hey - it's Gale. Is that, errrr, music offer still open..?

Jerry was busy obsessively wondering if he should continue shaving his chest or let it grow in from the waxing. Whatever he decided, it was itching like living hell- when his phone buzzed with a message, he jumped, scrambling for it and was surprised it wasn't a mission- someone actually wanted to talk to him! About MUSIC! He couldn't quite remember exactly which offer Gale was apparently responding to, but he was thrilled all the same, and texted back accordingly: Kurotomato Absolutely!! Meet at my room! The room number was included, but Bili is a spaz and can't remember what number that was.

It took him a bit to find the room, but once he did, Gale spent a good ten minutes just standing outside of it, wondering if he really wanted to go ahead and do this. He cleared his throat a little, shuffled his feet, and finally knocked.
"Jerry? It's, er, Gale."

"Gale, hi!! Come in!!" Jerry called through the door. His room looked tidier than usual, not that Gale was that familiar with it in it's usual disarray, but the man himself was looking trimmed and groomed, and although Sasha and Candace had done their best to steer his wardrobe in better direction, over his T-shirt was still his Hawaiian shirt. He had rearranged his sitting room area a bit to accommodate the various instruments for the potential lesson. He wasn't sure what the younger Hunter wanted, so he had prepared everything.

Gale pushed open the door and peeked through, lifting a brow at the brightly colored shirt and the cluster of instruments all crowded into the main sitting area. He sidled in quietly and shut the door behind him, shuffling his feet.
"Er," he said. "Hey, Jerry. I was wondering, errrr..."
How exactly was he supposed to put this? He had no idea what he was getting used to.
"Well, recent events, errr..." said Gale, feeling more awkward by the second. "I wanted to learn something musical...an instrument of sorts, if I could..."
He trailed off and then stood there stupidly, face red.

Jerry beamed, "Well, you've come to the right place! You said you saw the flier, right? Take your pick! We can cover piano, guitar, ukulele... If you want to rent one to practice on, I'll need a security deposit and five dollars an hour, if that's alright? I need to get more instruments before I can really lend them out easier. Lessons themselves, twenty dollars a session? Proceeds will go to the Sun House project, of course! Oh my goodness, I'm excited, I think you're the first person to actually bite that invitation ahahaha!"

"Yes, er, I did," said Gale, scuffing the toe of his shoe into the carpet. He peered curiously at the instruments, his eyes wide with interest. "And that price sounds fine," Gale added vaguely, tilting his head to look at the piano. "I don't really spend a whole lot of money, so price doesn't really make that much of a difference to me."
He leaned back to look at Jerry. "Well, er, see, there's this...girl..."
His face was red. Gale coughed, cleared his throat, and quickly changed the subject. "I was thinking guitar preferably, but piano is also an interest of mine..."

"A girl you say!" Jerry beamed at the teenager before looking momentarily frightened, but the smile returned again when he assured himself Gale was a good looking kid with a good head on his shoulders and surely it would roll better for the young man than Deus Dating had done for him. "Welllll... both are excellent choices! Do you have any experience with either of them? Both will take practice, but Piano is a really good foundation. Are you familiar with sheet music?" He turned to pull out a long cardboard box he had prepared should anyone actually answer his fliers, and began setting out a metronome and a pile of music books on his make-shift coffee table.

"Yes, well," Gale mumbled, still red in the face. "My girlfriend, she plays the piano, so I figured I wanted to learn something as well, you know. So I can play with her."
He shook his head. "I played the piano once or twice when I was a child, but other than that I haven't hardly touched even one instrument. I did learn sheet music, however, during primary and secondary school, so that's at least something."

"Duets," Jerry's eyes gained a distant sort of sparkle. "Music is a real magical way to bond, that's for sure!" He plucked up his guitar to make sure it was in tune, "Well! It's going to take a lot of practice, I recommend you pick up a guitar yourself- you can get a nice Fender for not too much at any shop once you go stateside. Acoustic doesn't need runic conversion, but if you intend on plugging into an amp you'll have to talk to the labs-" Immediately, he struck a few chords. "I won't start you with anything too fancy- before we work on your picking techniques, you'll have to get the chords memorized!"
