What a sad world it is in which we live for I cannot find Briar's book or any book after that in this series anywhere in my small little book store deprived city. I love the first three books, and I want to finish reading the series, but I can't find the books I need anywhere! crying It's so sad and so not fair!

Are you allowed to get them off amazon.com or another online bookstore? Or maybe you can ask the bookstore you usually go to to order it for you.

You can usually reserve the book at most bookstores if they carry the others.

I would go online for the books, but number one: my mom won't let me touch my own money (especially not for books) that I earned over the summer, and number two: my dad doesn't trust the internet and won't let me order anything online. I can try Hastings, it is the closest thing my town has to a bookstore.

Yeah, my parents frown on me spending my own money on books too. Probably because that's all I ever spend it on...

I found it! I found it! I went to the FCCLA State Convention in Ft. Worth and we went to the mall, and I went in Waldenbooks (my heroes), asked if they had Briar's Book and they did! I was in heaven for the rest of the day. And it only cost me around $6! So I am going to get offline right now and read a little before choir and tap dance practice!

Lucky you, you can at least find those books in stores. The Circle of Magic and The Circle Opens I had to order from a school book order. The Lioness and Immortals my parents got for me online. The Trickster books my friend bought for me when she was in Big Bear and I found Protecter of the Small and Will of the Empress at a random book store in Irvine. So at lest you've had better book stores then what I can get to.

A miracle just occured... My small sad excuse for a Public Library actually had the first book in the Circle Opens quartet! Of course they didn't have any of the other books in the series, but hey, they had something! I am going to try to go to San Angelo tomorrow (my Grandmother wants me to pick out my graduation gift) and I will try to look for the other books there!
~~I know this has nothing to do with Tamora Pierce, but I am at a loss. What do you ask for for a graduation present? It has to be around $100, and I have no idea what to ask for. My cousin asked for some ruby stud earings... but me... I have no idea!~~

Just kidding.....mostly. What I wanted for graduation was a computer. Of course, that's a bit more than $100., but it's the best, functional graduation gift you can get.

Yeah, I asked for books, but she said no. I asked my parents for a laptop... and they said no. That seems to be the popular answer! I got 3 necklaces and a CD fom my grandmother... but no books. I guess I'll have to order them myself.

I finally ordered the rest of The Circle Opens series. I promise, the people who work in the book section of Hastings hide from me each and every time I walk in there. I had to have one of my friends ask for someone to help me, but I did get them ordered and they will be in in 10-14 days!

They hide from you? How rude! Why do they do that? Do they fear you, and your need for books?
