The Forest of Magic ~ A Place of Oddities Stage 1B: The forest here is quiet, yet strange. A mischievous glare can be felt from somewhere in the trees. Why would they stare at you? The new heroine in blue would appear soon, to the watching eyes of one of the beings who lived in this odd part of the forest, or at least one who came here often. The strong magical energy could be felt here, but even so, it was obvious to now that the magical power was not coming from here. This feeling has not put many on edge, but some beings are curious about while others are more concerned. Where could it be...  Once the heroine was close enough, the one who was glaring mischievously appeared from out of the trees, slowly descending to the earth, from one of the tree branches, with the little fluttering of her wings.
What sort of pranks could she pull on this girl? Who was this girl? That didn't matter to this fairy. "Well well well, who has wandered into my domain?" The fairy said, crossing her arms and trying to look confident. "It's not very common for someone to just wander into this part of the forest. What gives?" The fairy asked, giving the girl in blue a questioning glance.
Earlier that day, this fairy was curious about the magical energies being sensed, but her short attention span caused her to almost forget entirely about it after she saw this girl wandering her way.

Sorina, a Youkai of Sorow, had one thing on her mind as she investigated the strange occurrence of magic. Finding Nintai.
Earlier, she noticed Nintai was not home to eat his favorite food. About that time, she heard from Hanalli about the strange energy she felt over the forest. So she headed outward to hopefully find her friend in this odd area.
The forest to her was not too familiar, though she has been through it now and again it never seems to stay the same. Especially this new area she never witnessed.
"Nintai!" she tried calling out. No response at all. To Sorina, this was her own little incident in this incident (Incident-ception).
Lo and behold, she met someone who called out to her. A fairy. Being more defensive than usual, she quickly exchanged her Kimono in one fluid movement to reveal the more Egyptian styled dress with two scimitars.
"I am looking for a friend of mine. If you are trying to hide him, then you might as well answer before I have to get rough!" It's slightly out of character for Sorina, but when it came to those she cared about, she was not afraid to show some fangs and some bark.

The fairy jumped as the girl took out to scimitars, as well as changed her clothes. The blue girl did tell her why she was there; looking for a friend; Nintai. "Who?" The fairy asked the girl. "I've never heard of anyone named Nintai before in my life!" The fairy told the girl. The fairy crossed her arms and tilted her head. "What makes you think that this "Nintai" would be here anyway?" The fairy asked the girl.
The fairy decided then and there that she might as well get their introductions out of the way. "Hey, my name is Youkai Saint; I come to these parts often." The fairy said, placing a hand on her chest as she did so.
Enter Youkai Saint (Fairy Form) ~ Avatar of an Awkward Higher Power
Youkai sent the girl a smirk. "So, what's your name then?" She asked the girl in blue. The thought on the strong magical energies that were appearing did not come to the fairy's mind, as she, like most fairies, was simple-minded.

"I am Sorina, the Youkai of Sorrow. Nintai went missing some time ago and just as he did, the strange energy of the forest reacted. I fear the worst and he might be around here somewhere, drawn to it." Though she lowered her weapons, she was not going to revert her clothes yet.
"But why would a Fairy be in this area of the forest? Are you trying to play some kind of prank on me?"

Sorina, the girl introduced herself as, was worried for her friend, but she was still careful it seemed. She questioned why the fairy was in this odd part of the forest and if she was going to play a prank on her. "Here? Well... I don't know, really." Youkai shrugged. "It just feels cool, being here, I guess. It feels so... out of place, doesn't it?" Youkai asked the sorrow youkai, excitement in her eyes. She then thought about the pranking part that Sorina said. "Hmm... I guess I could; I have time." Youkai said, with a nod.
It took her this long to remember the magical energy, even though Sorina mentioned it already. "OH!! That magical energy isn't here; I checked already." Youkai told her. "But I did find something else that could help you out." The fairy said, with a smirk. "But I'll only tell you under one condition; you beat me at a spellcard duel!"

"If that is how it is, then so be it." With a quick slight of hand movement, her left hand exchanged her scimitar for a fan of spell cards. Showing she was prepared indeed for such a moment. When it began, Sorina made sure to toss her danmaku in such a way that they would curve like her blade. When she swung her sword in an arc, a sort of wave like blade came forth of the same danmaku though slower than the bullets.
"I hope this shall be fun for you as it will be for me."

BGM: Paradigm Shift
Youkai was surprised by how ready Sorina was. Youkai squeaked when Sorina sent her first wave of Danmaku at her. She jumped up and took to the air, But as she got off the ground she was hit by a few of Sorina's first wave of bullets. Her little wings were humming and releasing orange sparkles as she floated in the air.
Youkai pushed her hands forward and sent out several small red orbs. The orbs flew in seemingly random directions for a few seconds before changing their color to yellow and darting towards Sorina's current position.

Dodging for her was still new. Sorina was rusty as she did her best, grazing the bullets but also taking a few as they changed and returned to her position. She was clearly out of practice to be hit by an easy bullet pattern.
She tried her best to only intimidate Youkai by sending smaller blade strikes in a curve pattern, easy to dodge by anyone.
Sorina decided it was at least time to draw one card. She quickly exchanged one sword with a card as she called it's name out.
"[Steel Sign: Teardrop Shockwave]" once it vanished, her blade came back and she started the pattern. She swung both her blades away from one another like a pair of cutters, creating two crescent formed bullets that seemed fast yet halfway to it's target, they deformed into smaller droplets that slowly spread in various directions and bounced off of one another. two seconds after they formed droplets, Sorina took this chance to swing another pair from the left, then behind and right to box her in with a sort of minefield of the bullets spreading ever so slowly. After the fourth pair however, she immediately charged the real attack. A stream of large orbs fired out, though the actual hit box of them were smaller and more so to trick her on it's actual size. The bullets they hit on the way bounced off and changed the direction they would fly. A pattern that could be repeated until Sorina was interrupted, four waves and then the stream being swiped from either left or right.

Youkai easily dodged Sorina's swipe, but she was stopped by her spellcard. She was certainly boxed in quickly, and took the attack head on. Once she was free, she released her spellcard. "I show you bouncing bullets; Prank Sign "Friendly Fire"!" Youkai called out. Youkai raised her hands in the air and then held them in front of her. From her hands came several many yellow-green bullets that all flew mid-speed in random directions. Youkai raised her hands up again and proceeded to hold them forwards again, this time, firing faster, blue bullets in another random spread. Several of the blue bullets, a majority even, hit some of the yellow-green ones, sending them bouncing away in the opposite direction, but the blue bullets that hit them changed their colors to read and all homed in on Sorina's current location.
After the release of the blue bullets, Youkai proceeded to change her position in mid-air, flying to her left and floating upwards a little more. Once in position, Youkai lifted her hands up and proceeded to charge her next wave.
