Name: Adrian Frost

Nickname: It's not so much a nickname as the Rocky-style way of saying "Adriaaaaaaaaaan!"

Age: 18

Birthday: June 3rd

Sign: Gemini

Gemstone: Follows your zodiac sign.

Blood Type: AB+

Fav. Food: Venison, oysters, lamb gyros, most pasta dishes

Hated Food: Mexican dishes

School: Meadowview High School

Hobbies:

Shooting - Though he doesn't own a lot of guns, Adrian goes shooting fairly frequently. He prefers empty canyon areas to actual ranges (money savings aside, it's more scenic), but he'll take what he can get. He primarily shoots handguns, and a trusted old rifle, all of which he cleans religiously after each outing. He likes to either take a few tagalongs with him or engage with the interesting fellows there and see if he can get a little competition going. He especially likes competition since he's got pretty damn good aim.

Poker - Texas Hold'em, Chicago, stud poker, he'll play them all. Though he's not necessarily a card shark, Adrian loves the suspense and ambience of poker. It's more than fun to try to guess who is bluffing and to lead others on with a very practiced poker face. It's especially fun if he wins. Were it legal for him to bet real money on the games, he'd probably have a fair amount of debt racked up, since he loses just about as many as he wins. That doesn't stop him from playing, or trying to get people involved in poker nights.

Videophilia - Though Adrian isn't the videocamera-toting type, he loves a good cut. Give him any movie and he'll check the quality of the shots, cut it, and edit it accordingly. It stems from a love of all things visual, especially when captured in movement, and the puzzle of seeking proper quality and the greatest effect. He won't edit crappy film, or school productions, but give him a challenge or something weird and artistic, and he'll be all over it. He'll do it for free as long as you watch (and possibly bathe him in complements). Most of it is done on his less-than-amazing laptop, but maybe a decent job will change that someday.

Xylography - Tying in with his love of visuals is xylography (carving wood blocks), the one hobby he actually partakes in during school hours. He'll often bring a sizable wood block with him to school, along with a few xacto knives, and set to work on it during study hall or any art class he could get away with. Basically he'll start carving away at any location where other people can watch him, because he likes fishing for compliments (who doesn't?). When the piece is finished, he'll ink it and press it onto decent paper, make a few prints with it, save his favorite and fork out copies to pretty girls and boys alike.

Virtues:

Confident -- Adrian is very sure of himself. He knows his strengths, and he knows how to use them too. He's not one to slink around with his gaze to the floor or shirk hard tasks because he doesn't know if he can do them. No, he'll take on just about anything, and at least look like he knows what he's doing. He loves being sure of himself, he loves not faltering under uncertainty, because there is no uncertainty when it comes to himself, and he knows other people can see that. He knows people notice when he holds his head high, and he loves it because that's natural for him. Confidence is simply part of his nature.

Independent -- Adrian has never been the helpless sort. He's always striven to function on his own, and managed to do so wonderfully thus far. He lives on his own as a result, in some meager studio apartment, but he's accomplished his independence due to his drive to be able to function as a single entity, rather than leech off of someone or something else. As a result, he's not going to bother anyone for help on a project, or beg someone to drive him somewhere. He'd more than likely be the person subjected to said begging.

Charismatic -- Adrian loves to charm. He lives to beguile and captivate people. Most of his charisma lies in his diction, and occasionally in his actions, but he prefers to do so subtly rather than open with an obvious act like bringing someone flowers. With such a strong personality, he already commands the attention of his audience, but with a little persuasion and natural charm, he can mete out some followers of the crowd.

Intuitive -- Body language betrays what words will not, and Adrian is keen on it. He can, on occasion, sense how someone is feeling and act on it accordingly (especially if he can demonstrate a little of his charm in the process). If someone is crossing their legs away from him, he can infer they don't trust him, and seek to change that. It may not be the case, and he's not always accurate, but he does take great pains to read people as best he can. After all, how is he supposed to tantalize someone with his excellent personality if he can't even discern whether they're in the mood to even speak with him?

Flaws:

Arrogant -- Adrian may be confident, but he's confident without limitation. Such glorious self-confidence can come off as complete arrogance, and it's a fairly accurate assumption. To be frank, Adrian is totally full of himself. He knows he's the best there is, and he loves to demonstrate that to others. Unfortunately, others don't really appreciate the massive displays of preening and flaunting his talents. Sometimes his arrogance is abrasive, and drives people away, and Adrian just doesn't know how to keep his exorbitant amounts of confidence to himself sometimes.

Manipulative -- Since he knows how to read people, Adrian knows how to use people. It's only a natural progression to him, and if they don't notice they're being manipulated, then how is it such a bad thing? If there's something Adrian wants someone to do, he'll manipulate them into it via suggestive language, or by playing off of guilt complexes, or pretty much any trick he can come up with. It doesn't always work, but that doesn't stop him from trying to pull their strings so he doesn't have to swallow his arrogance and ask for something of them. However, Adrian often underestimates the intelligence of others, and when they catch on, their interaction goes sour fast. Once he's caught, he's incredulous and offended, and often times it'll earn him an extremely negative reputation. Many a time his machinations have backfired, and he lost several friends as a result. He just doesn't see any fault in his decisions there.

Hard to Please -- Due to his independent nature, he's learned to do a lot of things himself. From auto repair to managing a bank account, Adrian knows how to survive on his own. Because of this, accomplishments made by others appear rather worthless to him. Why is someone celebrating their moving out at 20 when he moved out at 16? It's no big deal. That's nothing to be proud about. Why would accomplishing a month-long school assignment warrant celebration? Everyone does it, and he had too. If someone tries to bring up their recent successes with him, he'll brush them off without a second thought. He'll often snub any talk of minor accomplishments, and rarely he might explain that it hardly counts as a success. He'll tell that person to try harder, to shoot for loftier goals. Come back later when you have something real to brag about.

Mercurial -- Adrian alternates between moods often. One moment he might be excited, though the next he'll end up somewhere near depressed. These are usually precipitated by minor changes, sometimes infinitesimally so. It presents an annoyingly unpredictable nature to dealing with Adrian. One can't reliably instigate a change in him; what worked before to liven his mood again may not work now. There's simply no way around it - dealing with Adrian entails dealing with his unpredictable mood swings.

Challenge: Pain is only skin deep.

Fuku Colour: Black
Main Color: #FFCCAA
Secondary Color: #660000

[Link] and [Link] for inspiration
Collar -- CC
Bow -- Would a series of belts in place of a sash work? If not, a sash that looks like skin.
Bodice --A skin-tight black fabric extension from his sarong. It's split down the center to below his navel, like it was torn away. Is connected to his gloves.
Brooch -- CC
Bottoms -- Give him a sarong. He can show some leg.
Tiara -- CC
Choker -- CC
Shoes -- Knee-high boots that curl up at the ends.
Gloves -- Black evening gloves.
Accessories -- It would be pretty cool to have his outfit look like it's melting into his skin! And something black and sticky-looking that's covering most of his lower jaw and a bit of his cheek.

Attacks:

Sailor Scout Attack: Skinned
Range: 20 feet
Duration: 20 seconds
Number of uses: 2
Number of targets: 1
Adonis holds his arms out, palms up, and the gloves on his uniform burn away. The change is mimicked in his targeted opponent, who he must make eye contact with, and they feel the effects of a mild chemical burn. They see a few layers of skin peeling off, some irritation, and some decent pain. Only occurs on the arms, and can be interrupted by attacking Adonis before his uniform manifests any changes, preventing him from making eye contact, or by shutting him up somehow before he can utter the name of the attack. Once the duration ends, their body goes back to normal (as does his uniform).

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Skinned Alive
Range: 20 feet
Duration: 15 seconds
Number of uses: 1
Number of targets: 1
Executed in the same manner as his basic attack, Adonis casts Skinned Alive by brushing his hands across any part of his uniform, which melts away for the duration of the attack. The change is mimicked in his targeted opponent, who he must make eye contact with, and they feel the effects of their skin being removed from their body. The affected area appears bloody, and the opponent suffers extreme pain akin to the name of the attack. It can be interrupted by attacking Adonis before his uniform manifests any changes, preventing him from making eye contact, or by shutting him up somehow before he utters the name of the attack. Once the duration ends, their body goes back to normal (as does his uniform).

Eternal Sailor Attack: Reflection of Adonis
Range: 30 feet diameter, Adonis as epicenter
Duration: 30 seconds
Number of uses: 1
Number of targets: varies
A illusory pool of water spreads out from where Adonis stands. Anyone who is touched by this water and looks at it will see a reflection of a horrific, twisted monstrosity (think Silent Hill monster) and will therefore look the part to themselves and anyone else around. They will suffer some measure of the pain of having their body mutated so grotesquely, and any hindrances from becoming so malformed. The water will dissipate after ten seconds, but anyone who looked into it will continue shambling along in their restricted, disgusting form for thirty seconds. This attack can be avoided if one either a) does not look into the water or b) stays out of the water.

Strickenized

Hi Strick! So so sorry I took so long getting this to you!

ON THE CIVILIAN SIDE:

Hobbies mostly look good, but I feel like “Xylography” would be improved by saying exactly what it is! I had to Google it to figure it out.

His virtues are good, but there are a few tweaks on his flaws!

Mostly, I’d like to see a little more about how “Manipulative” is a flaw; as it is it mostly plays as a trait that’s beneficial to him! How does it backfire? Does he have a reputation for being a user/a jerk? Do people not trust him after they find out? Stuff like that!

Also, for “Hard to Please,” you focus a lot on his attitudes, but not really on how they affect his interactions! You briefly mention him brushing people off; can you elaborate on this a little?

ON THE POWERED SIDE:

I really like Adonis’s attacks and they are straight up nightmare fuel. Awesome. All good here!

Quote me once you’ve made changes or with any questions <3

Songstress Kitsune

Thanks for getting back to me! I fleshed out the two flaws you pointed out, and added a minor note in xylography at your suggestion. Let me know if I need to add more to it!
