Can anyone give me some tips or advice on how to keep a tree healthy. In my backyard, though it is not very big at all, I have seventeen trees. Some of which are pretty healthy looking but others don't seem as healthy.

I would say about half of the trees, the bark is falling off and they all have a weird, fading color that gives it the appearance of being unhealthy. I don't know if some trees just do this, but I would like some input from others.

What type of trees do you have in you backyard? Could you take some pictures of them?

That's ok! Yeah, definitely let your ankle heal! Do you know what types of trees you have in your backyard? Did you and your family plant these trees or have they always been on your property?

I don't know what type of trees they are, I moved in about two years ago so they were all planted already. I'll possibly get pictures today.

Awesome. Once I know what types of trees you have I will be able assess their health better. There are some species of trees that do "shed" their bark. River Birches are a perfect example of this. Could you please take a pictures of the leaves and the bark? That is the easiest way to identify a tree.
