 HP: 20 Grigori was out on the battlefield again as soon as he'd recovered from his last embarassing fight. Really, that one had been laughable. But, he told himself, he had a slow start in the last war too. Surely his luck would change again. Twirling his cane, he comes across a familiar form. "Oh, why look who it is...." he comments as he comes up from behind. He really hopes his luck changes from his previous experience with this shadow follower as he swings for the back of Mal's knees.

HP: 17  Mal'rak let out a grunt of surprise as he was attacked from behind. He was really off his beat lately. Whirling around to face the familiar voice a huge grin spreads across his face as he strikes back with a a kick, "Well, I take it you wanna play like we did last war, eh?" He laughs with joy, hoping his luck would change for him as well.

HP: 18 Grigori grinned as well, even as he took a light blow from the kick. "Oh most definitely... maybe this time I'll walk away with my own hat, hmm?" he quips, as he lashes out with his cane again, this time for Mal's side.

Baring his teeth at the other, tail twitching behind him as he takes a whack from the cane again. "Oh you'll keep your hat. I'll be taking that damned cane this time!" He lets out a growl and summons his shadow sword, twirling it in delight, "I got a new toy this time, bucko." The Shadow Prince laughs and slashes downwards at the cursed.

HP: 14 Grigori was all smiles as his cane struck well again. "Oh no, I'm keeping that too." He winds up for another hit when he's struck by that unexpected shadow blade, and boy did it HURT. Hissing, he backed up, the smile gone. "All right then, if that's how it's going to be..." He turns the diamond end away, and twists a portion of his cane causing a blade to shink out of the other end. Aiming at Mal's gut in a jab, he comments, "This is new too, "bucko".

HP: 13 Twisting out of the way just in time, the hidden blade ripping open his fishnet and grazing the first few layers of skin. "We'll see about that at the end of this fight." Mal spins around the cursed vampire and slashes at his back, winding his tail about to grab his ankle at the same time.

HP: 12 Grigori recovers rather well from his miss, getting a small slash on his back. He's able to avoid that ankle grab for the most part, and jabs his elbow up at Mal's face.

HP: 12 "Tch." The prince managed to back up just in time, only getting clipped in the jaw for his efforts. Spinning around the sword to his other hand he swings it diagonally up at the other.

HP: 8 Another slash with that shadow sword had Grigori hissing in pain again. He had to avoid that thing. Or make it harder for Mal to hold onto it. Narrowing his eyes, he swung the diamond-tipped end of his cane at the hand holding that sword.

HP: 10 Mal allowed the cane to tap his hand, grinning fiercely as he releases the sword. Shadows instantly engulfed the blade and slid into the princes hand. He lets out a laugh and swipes a hoof across the distance between them, hoping to knock the other down this time. "This sword was a gift from the Dark Lord himself for my triumphs last war, I will never lose it and it is forever apart of me." He lets out a gleeful cackle, tail curling behind him in delight.

(geez, really? *kicks dice*) HP: 4 Grigori growled as he just couldn't seem to hit the broad side of a barn anymore. "Yeah, real impressive," he snorts, as he takes a solid hoof and is knocked back on his a**. This wasn't fun anymore and he was starting to wonder if luck was ever going to be on his side again. He takes off his razor-edged hat and flings it in one fluid motion before trying to get back to his feet.

HP: 8 (Dice has been real mean to Mal as of late, so this is kinda nice on my end. *flails* If he does manage to lose, this will be his final fight against cursed. I dun want my precious prince becoming cursed. *headdesk*) Jerking to the side he reaches up to snatch the hat out of the air, gritting his teeth as the razor edge bites into his hand. He lets out a low growl and summons the sword again, flinging the hat off to the side. "Oh yeah. Makes for a real handy weapon." Lunging forward as the other just gets to his feet he attempts to stab at him.

(don't worry, he won't lose, grigori has no luck.) For once Grigori's able to take only a partial slash from that sword, though it still hurt like the dickens, and he's getting very pissed off as he gets more tired and weak from this fight, and in a lack of clarity just decides to go for a headbutt. HP: 2

Grunting at the attack, Mal reaches up and grabs a handful of those yellow locks and brings his knee up, hands jerking him downwards at the same time.
