A cool night breeze flowed in from over the desert dunes in the distance. It was a nice and refreshing feeling; one that was most welcome to him after the intense conversation they'd just had. He slowly turned back to face her; trying to catch the deep blue eyes that he loved so much and gently spoke back to her, "You don't understand, you may think that you have flaws, but I love everything about you. We can make up for each other's flaws. It's okay. Don't be sad." He felt a soft pang in his heart shortly after and began to inch his fidgeting hands over to touch hers.

His words surprised her with their gentle tone. They seemed to soothe her as if they were a physical touch. As his hands inched closer to touch her, she found herself backing away slowly, not trusting him or his words. She was too damaged and flawed for him to love her and care about her. “Why?” She said the one word that was repeating over and over in her mind but it came out as a question. She really couldn't bring herself to understand the reason why he could love her let alone want to touch her.

He smiled warmly at her as he gently moved his left hand to caress her rosy cheeks. His expression softened as he looked into her eyes; they reminded him of deep blue sapphires. He felt a rush of emotion as he spoke to her, "Why not, what's wrong with loving you?" he asked softly.

"Everything." The word was a hushed whisper as it left her lips and she placed her hand over his to pull it away from her face. "I don't understand why no how you could possibly love me and want to be with someone like me." She spoke the secret thought that was going around her mind. Deep down inside she knew that she could never love him like he loved her. In her mind, he was this most perfect being and he was worth loving but she was so far from perfection, she didn't deserve his attention. Without thinking, she had turned away from him, tears burning her bright blue eyes. "If you love me like you say you do well then why don't you tell me why?" She was wiping away the tears as they fell from her eyes but turned back to face him. "You are so perfect with what your able to do and who you are. I get so exhausted after so many wishes yet you seem like you can go for days. And that is just the tip of the iceberg! There is so much wrong with me I don't understand why people even want wishes from me anymore." The tears were streaming down her face as she spoke; anger and sadness welled up inside her finally coming out.

The sudden outburst of words from her struck a beat in his heart. How long has she had these troubled and painful thoughts? He thought she was happy with him and the thought of those words made his heart ache a little. "It's okay," he thought to himself, "I love her with all my heart and I'll show her why." He took a deep breath to calm himself and steadied his thoughts. After a short time, he slowly moved over to her and gently framed her face with his hands as he wiped her tear-streaked face. Thereupon, he looked lovingly into her vibrant eyes before kissing her softly on the lips. Not long after, he warmly smiled in a way that was only meant for her and intertwined his fingers with hers. "Come with me," he said softly, "I'll show you how I fell in love with you and why I still do." He quickly helped her up and was immediately thankful that it was such a cool night as they stepped outside. A full moon was shining high above them; pouring it's gentle white light upon them. It was a magnificent sight to behold. Eventually, he lead her to the cliff where he first met her. It rose high above the sand dunes and gave a splendid view of the heavens above them. "It was here on a night exactly like this when we first met, do you recall what happened?" he asked as he squeezed her hand gently.

She watched him as he moved to her and then closed her eyes when he framed her face. Chills swept through her body as he wiped away her tears and she couldn't help but smile a little. Her eyes opened just in time to see him looking at her and then his lips were on hers. It was a soft kiss but it spoke volumes to her. When he pulled away from her, she wouldn't admit it, but she found herself wanting to feel his lips against hers again. She smiled back at him and squeezed his hand that was in hers. She allowed him to lead her to the cliff and then found herself laughing a little as the memory replayed in her mind. "Oh yes I remember, it was the start of something interesting." She laughed a little and then smiled up at him before she started to tell how she remembered it all. "I had just fallen asleep after a long day and ever so many wishes.."Anira found herself trailing off as she stared out at the sky. "I kept feeling this soft breeze blow against my face and it was nice at first but it just got hot after a while, I opened my eyes and you were staring at me." She stopped staring at the sky and then turned to face him. "I asked what it was you were doing but that is what I don't remember I'm afraid I always reword what you say." A wide grin formed on her face and she stopped herself from laughing by looking into his pure blue eyes. "Can you help me with the rest?" The question was asked softly, spoken in her normal manner. She was no longer as upset as she was, the negative thoughts that she wasn't fit for him leaving her mind and being replace with happiness.

A smile slowly appeared on his face as he reminisced fondly about how they met. "Of course I'll help you remember dear," he said gently, "you know you're just as beautiful as when we first met." He looked over at her and wasn't able to resist running his hands over her silky black hair; it looked so beautiful in the moonlight. He smiled to himself as he whispered to her, "In fact, I think you're even more beautiful now then when we first met." He moved closer to her and then sat down beside her as he gathered his thoughts. "Hmm, let's see," he thought out loud, "It was on a moonlit night just like this when I saw you sleeping here. I remember that it was an exhausting day; there were so many wishes to grant from all over. I was heading home to bed when I was on the other side of the cliff over there and your necklace caught my eye. You were so entrancing when I first saw you; I couldn't take my eyes off of you. I thought you looked so peaceful and before I realized it we were staring face to face." He laughed softly as he was reminded of the surprised look on her face.

"Oh stop it Bashir." She reached up and grabbed his hand against her hair and squeezed it gently in hers. "If I am more beautiful now then I think we might be in trouble because that can only spell trouble for us, since you seem to take my breath away now." A sweet smile formed on her lips and she leaned closer to his face. "Yes you definitely more breath taking." She was so close to his face, when she spoke her breath brushed against his skin. "I am surprised that you didn't leave when I woke and stared at you. Instead you stayed and had a conversation with me." Soft laughter came from her as she remembered the rest of the night and just how long their conversation lasted. "Though it wasn't until much later that we learned each other's names." She grinned at him and her eyes twinkled a little as that memory replayed in her mind. "That one was a hot day, I thought I was going to melt from the heat." She pulled away from him and acted like she was fanning herself. "I was sitting here once again granting wishes though not sleeping." Anira grinned at herself instead of him because she was starting to laugh at how awkward it had been that day. "You remember don't you? Or should I tell the tale?" Her fingers trailed through her soft black hair, pulling the bangs away from her face only for them to fall back.

"Oh, am I Anira?" He smiled mischievously as she leaned in towards him. "I didn't realize that." He shivered a little as he felt his senses tingling; he loved how she smelled. The sweet smell reminded him of the vibrant desert flowers that bloomed after a much needed rain. He just couldn't hold himself back; his senses wouldn't let him. He gave her another kiss; this one much longer and more passionate than the one earlier inside. "I couldn't leave your side Anira," he said with a wide grin, "you were irresistible in my eyes. You spoke in such a wondrous and mysterious manner that I couldn't help but be curious to learn more about you." He chuckled to himself, "I must have asked you so many questions. I couldn't help it; being with you just gave me so much energy." "Hmm." He thought out loud. "I remember that night clearly but I only remember bits and pieces of the day. It was a hot day, that's for sure, but I do remember at one time I was running around frantically trying to find an umbrella for you though; how did it go again?"

As his lips had met hers, her senses went crazy and she got the chills just from his kiss. "You were so curious and thought of so many things to ask me but yet neither of us thought to ask for names." She thought the mere fact of it was hilarious and it was nothing but truth. "I love being around you even now, I feel like I could fill every wish thrown my way and never get tired, I think I might even be able to grant my own." Anira's smile softened to one that was more heart felt because though she did feel that way, she didn't have a wish she wanted. "I have my wish granted already though." As the words left her lips, her arms moved and encircled his neck gently. "You my lovely Bashir are everything and more I could ever wish for as long as I live." She kissed him softly on the lips, her bright blue eyes closed even as she pulled away from his lips after a long and slow kiss. She leaned her forehead against his and figured it was her turn to share her part. "You thought I needed some shade. When you found an umbrella, you wouldn't sit under it with me though." She began to giggle from the memory and how he looked trying to brave the heat. "I had to drag you under it to sit with me. I didn't want you to suffer either. Though it didn't really take much effort to get you under it." Her blue eyes opened to look at him and she stared into his own pure blue eyes. "You had something so silly like if I am sharing an umbrella with such a beautiful lady, can I know her name? Though it was you who got the umbrella in the first place." She pulled her head away just a little to shake it in amusement but she also wanted to move her bangs away again. With another shake of her head, her bangs moved a little more to the side.

He warmly smiled at her as he laughed at himself, "Well, you know how I am now. Sometimes I forget the simplest things; like asking for someone's name or introducing myself." He couldn't picture being separated from her at all; no matter what future he imagined for them it was with the both of them happily together. He nodded as she spoke about not being tired. "I couldn't be happier with you Anira, you mean the world to me," he said as she moved closer to him. Bashir gently wrapped his arms around his lover's waist as she wrapped her arms around his neck. He gave her a quick, light nuzzle and before he knew it her supple lips were pressed against his. He treasured these intimate moments they had. Every moment like this strengthened their relationship even further and he was thankful for that. As she spoke of the first day they spent together, the memories came flooding back in. He couldn't help but smile and laugh at how he was when he was younger. "Hahaha. I remember clearly now. You looked so hot, I thought you were going to faint! I ran from place to place trying to find an umbrella for you!" he laughed enthusiastically, "Once I found one, I set it up for you and stood outside in the sun trying to impress you!" He closed his eyes and thought for a moment. "I remember what I said now." he laughed again, "I said that I couldn't possibly share an umbrella with such a beautiful woman without knowing her name!" He looked over at her as she was trying to move her bangs and lovingly moved them out of her eyes. "Is that better dear?" he asked as he thought about what she said before, "Back then we had always wondered why we had so much energy when we were around each other. We never got tired! You even had your genies up and about wondering why you were so energized! They couldn't keep up with you! That was such a fun time, do you remember that?"

Her heart was beating so fast and hard in her chest, it almost seemed to ache and it was all because of him. "Just why were you trying to impress me by making yourself melt?" Anira asked the question and ran her fingers lovingly along his cheek. Her bright blue eyes locked onto his his pure blues, she had thought it strange at first that they had something of the same color eyes. Her opinion has certainly changed, she could look into his eyes for all of eternity if it was allowed to her. Somehow she managed to lose herself in his eyes, it was like she was swimming in an ocean when she looked into his eyes. "I still wonder what it is about you that draws me towards you like a magnet, why I can get so lost in you, and why on earth I never grow tired of your energy." She found herself frowning but not from sadness or anything of the sort but instead from confusion and the unknown. Sometimes she wish she knew all of the answers but then at the same time she wished the opposite. "Do you ever want to just know everything so there would no more confusion?" Anira pulled herself from his gaze and looked down at her own hands as she pulled them towards her body. "There is so much I am curious about, thankful for, but nonetheless curious." She started to chew on her lip, an old habit that never died, and one that stirred up when she thought about things too hard. "I love you my darling Bashir, I truly do. I just wonder about what makes us so perfect together, is it our powers, our personality or just us as a whole?" She finally managed to get the right words out to ask him what had been concerning her. She had true feelings for him and had since she truly learned about him. Her life was changed from the minute she woke up and found him staring at her. She felt it that day, some sort of change but she just had no idea how much of a change was headed her way.
