Falias wasn't sure why he was still wandering around this, especially not after the last time which hadn't exactly gone well for him. He sighed, actually he knew why he was still wandering around, knew that despite what had happened last time a part of him didn't feel ready to just give up like that - at least not just yet.

Because at the end of the day he couldn't go back to the way things had been before those dog monsters had attacked him and catapulted him into this whole thing, had started looking at the 'terrorist' reports on the news in a new light - especially given what he'd witnessed at the mess that had come of what had been meant to be a supposedly fun but relaxing evening out at that new Carnival that had opened up.

In the end Falias decided to head towards the library and see if he could find Camelot. Hopefully this time round he'd actually get to speak to the Earth Knight, but regardless of whether he did so he promised himself that one way or another tonight would be the night he'd make his mind up once and for all.

After all he couldn't keep stumbling around like he had been - he wasn't much good to anyone like that.

Camelot was near the library, having just left. He paused when he saw someone walking toward him, and recognized the others aura. He paused and smiled in greeting, though he looked a little tired and well worn, though he had only just started his patrol tonight.

Really, he was glad to see Falias, because it was a distraction from things he was supposed to do, and gave him something to focus on. Patrol was difficult, with his mind wandering as it was: he needed a point of focus to keep himself from just sitting down and falling to sleep.

Taking care of a new baby, as it turned out, was exhausting.

"Good evening," he said, nodding his head. He could only assume that Falias had come this way on purpose, to see him, but he didn't jump right to that conclusion, letting the other bring it up if he wanted. Sometimes, the people that came to see him did not want to say so out loud, which was fine, and he wouldn't push them. He'd just figure out what was going on as best he could, and offer them what help he could. That was his place in the world, and he worked every day to try and live up to what people expected of him.

Falias on his part was feeling pretty surprised that he'd managed to get all the way over to the library given how his other attempts had gone, having half expected that something would come out and interrupt or distract him - the way that they had on the three proceeding occasions when he'd planned to try and find the Earth Knight.

But no he had managed to reach the library and was being hailed?

Yes he was being hailed, in the form of a Good Evening, and (after turning in the direction of the voice) by no less than the Earth Knight he'd been trying to find.

"Hi Camelot" Falias called back, not about to question his luck particularly as he did want to speak to the Arthurian-linked Knight. "I was hoping I'd find you actually." Walking closer he noted that the other looked a little tired, wondered if he caught the other about to go home "Is tonight a bad time?"

"No, no, not a bad time. Sorry. I've ah. Had a lot to deal with recently. A little busy at home and with work. My wife just gave birth and ah... well. Anyway." He cleared his throat, not wanting to get bogged down in personal affairs when he was supposed to be here helping someone else.

He ran a hand through his hair and calmed himself. He needed a night off, in its way. A patrol maybe, or something else, just to get his head back in order. He did that best by helping others.

"I ah. I am glad to run into a friendly face, though. What brings you to this area?"

He tried not to look hopeful, but it was hard to keep the expression at bay. He wanted to be needed and he wanted to do his part as a knight. He was in desperate need of being able to find the balance between Librarian, Father and Knight, and was working harder at each one in an effort to find it.

The more Camelot spoke, the more Falias was starting to feel that maybe this was a bad time - seriously by the sounds of it the Knight sounded insanely busy - the 'how is he fitting it all in' kind of busy.

But Falias had been hoping for a chance to speak to the older Knight and it seemed like this was his best chance given his luck in trying to find the Arthurian-styled Knight to date.

"As I said, I was hoping I'd run into you he admitted as he leaned against a nearby lamp post. "I feel like I'm stumbling around right now and not much good to anyone."

And he hated it, hated the feeling of floundering around to no purpose.

The fact that his 'mystical' weapon was a sprig of mistletoe didn't help - given that it was just that - a sprig of mistletoe with no magical properties whatsoever. Well not unless you counted its ability to magically appear and disappear and Falias didn't.

"It's sometimes difficult," Camelot said, with a gentle expression, "to find a purpose in this war. Waking up and being thrown into it can be very disorienting, but I know you'll find it. It's not something anyone can really tell you. I mean, it will certainly help, speaking with others, asking questions, learning as much as you can about the hows and the whats and the whys. But the reason you fight is your own, and you'll discover it, one way or another."

He nodded his head, smiling softly.

"I can help you as much as you'd like. I can tell you all I've learned, and show you how I fight youma, and what I think of Chaos. I know a few knights who can help you, as well, and you should visit different Wonders, as well as your own, to learn about our past. There is so much available to you but it's hard, sometimes, to see it or feel comfortable enough to ask. Ah. But I'm more than happy to help."

"I don't know much about the other side" Falias admitted, adding "I mean the Negaverse and the Dark Mirror people" he'd met one Dark Mirror senshi total and that encounter hadn't really gone down too well for him. He sighed before adding "But stuff like what went down at the Carnival wasn't right - I mean there were kids there, families there."

He hesitated for a moment "If that stuff is what the other side is about then I'd like to stop them" before sighing. "But I haven't been much good at it to date" he showed Camelot the mistletoe "And this isn't exactly the type of thing to make someone up to no good back off" it certainly hadn't worked on the hound youma things that had attacked him the night the whole thing had started.

A thought occured to him "By the way I've met a few others and they've all known I was a Page straight up without me even saying anything. Even that dark senshi I encountered seemed to know. Do you know how?"

It seemed that somehow Falias had managed to miss the energy-sensing 101 talk.

Camelot nodded his head, listening. There was a lot to learn about the Negaverse and Chaos in general. But if Falias wanted to learn, Camelot would teach him as much as he could. It was sometimes up to experience to show them other sides of things, to give them a better perspective what they were doing and why. Some saw the good in those corrupted by Chaos, and others saw them at their worst.

If they had some basis of knowledge going in, though, he felt like they had a better chance of resisting the pull of Chaos, of turning away from the offers and the promises the agents of Chaos were capable of making. It always sounded nice, or easy, or better, but Camelot knew that letting ones starseed be corrupted by Chaos, controlled by a force of evil, could never amount to anything truly good.

"We all get a difficult start," he said, looking at the mistletoe and feeling bad for him. That was much worse than the wooden shield he'd started with. Sure, it had been small and breakable, but it was at least sturdy enough to hit someone with and distract them. That little sprig... was probably not good for much.

"We can all feel auras. Do you feel that strange sensation in the back of your head? The one you get because I'm nearby now. That is my aura, my power signature. Each faction has a different feel to it, even the White Moon Senshi to us knights, and the forces of Chaos. You'll be able to learn how to differentiate them in time. It's a good skill to pay attention to, because knowing where your enemies are, and what strength they are, is good in helping you pick your battles."

Actually now that Camelot mentioned it, Falias had been picking up on a sensation that felt like a blaze. He looked over at the older Knight in surprise "You mean that's you."

He frowned slightly, although now that he was thinking about it it wasn't the first time that he'd picked up on strange sensations. He'd felt something similar when talking to Aventine, although it hadn't felt as strong and there had been that horrible skittering feeling that he'd felt during the night he'd had that encounter with that Dark Mirror senshi.

And come think about it Aventine had mentioned something similar, although he'd kind of been a bit overwhelmed by some of the other information he'd picked up during their conversation that night.

"A Squire called Aventine mentioned a little about it" he admitted. "She asked me to pass on that she said hi if our paths crossed" he said before continuing "I hadn't realised she was referring about auras." And he hadn't thought to ask her more about it when she'd been talking about warm feelings, although he wished that he had now. A thought occurred to him "Does that mean that the other side, I mean the Negaverse and Dark Mirror people - that they sense auras too?"

"That's me."

He remembered discovering the ability to feel other auras, but only vaguely. It felt like it had been an eternity ago, that he actually was on the other end of things, learning as he went. He had not always known anything, and he was thankful to those that had taken the time to explain it to him. So he would do what he could to explain what he knew to others.

It was only fair.

He smiled and nodded, laughing. Aventine was a sweetheart and he was glad to hear she was still doing well. He would have to go and find her, to say hi directly, some time.

"Yes, everyone that is powered up can feel auras. The most powerful of us, those that lead the Negaverse or the Princesses, have the largest auras. Each power signature is scaled to reflect rank, and it's a good idea to become familiar with how each level feels, so you're not caught against someone you may not be able to defeat. It's better to patrol in pairs, as well, or with others with you. Just in case."

Not that he ever listened to that advice, but still.

"I guess that makes sense" Falias said referring both to Camelot's comment about the auras as well as the suggestion about patrolling with other people.

Although he personally preferred to do for himself - to depend on his own strength, stumbling along on his own hadn't really done him much good so far.

He frowned slightly "Although you kind of have to know people to patrol with them." Despite being a Page for a couple of months Falias had only met a handful of faces and of that only really talked to two, three at most - one which he was currently talking to.

It didn't really make it particularly easy to arrange for a patrolling buddy - especially as Camelot was the only one out of that very short list who even knew his non-powered identity.

"Well, I can introduce you to some others, ah. I'm not the best at it, I've learned, but I want to have a small network of knights that can communicate with one another, and become strong together as well as individually. That's what my team was meant to do from the start, but I'm afraid I've been much too distracted."

He sighed.

It was his fault, and he knew it, but he was determined to change all that. Now that his daughter had been born and his wife could join him in the powered battles again, though with extreme caution because he would not risk losing her, he thought he might be able to focus a bit more on the things he felt were important. It wasn't just about fighting the same battles day after day.

They needed a bit more organization, and even if Camelot started small, he would be able to build from what he already had. He looked at Falias, smiling sheepishly.

"If you're interested in teaming up with me, you'd be welcome as a Knight of Destiny."

Falias looked thoughtful at Camelot's words "I'd like that" he said at last. "To meet some of the others" adding "I've talked to a couple" well a couple not including Camelot, "But apart from Aventine I think the longest conversation I've had with anyone is the one I've had with you."

And right now he knew so little about this alternative side of Destiny City, this war, he'd been thrust into that it was laughable, except not really, since Falias knew enough to know that his lack of knowledge was potentially dangerous if the little he knew about the other side was anything to go by.

"And I'd like to join your team to if you'll have me." It was kind of a big thing for him. Teams weren't his thing, never had been - he preferred to rely on his own strength.

But he was willing to try at it even if right now he wasn't sure how much he had to offer - after all it had to be better than all the stumbling around that he seemed to be doing at the moment.

"It's my honor to welcome you to the team, Falias," Camelot said with a warm smile, offering his hand to the younger knight. It was nice to know that he could still help people, and he had almost forgotten some of his duties in all the craziness of late. Training and teaching were some of his favorite things to do, and things that were very important.

He was determined now, watching the new generation of knights that were emerging, to return to his roots and stick to the calling that he felt was so important. He would be a guide, a mentor, and an aid to anyone that needed him.

Falias first, and the others he had met recently as well. He smiled.

"I'll introduce you to my wife sometime. Shalott, Knight of Earth. She is a part of the team as well, and is much better at some of the ins and outs of teaching than I am. I am always available to help you if you're in trouble, or just to talk. The others, we'll see. I'm glad Aventine has been speaking with you, and I'll do my best to gather everyone soon." He smiled and took a step back, bowing a bit politely.

"Thank you" Falias said a little awkwardly as he shook the offered hand, before adding impulsively "And I'll try to work harder at the Knight stuff."

Maybe if he worked harder then he'd managed to find some use for his admittedly useless 'weapon'. Maybe he'd even manage to get stronger. Still one thing he knew for certain was that he wasn't going to walk away from this Knight thing.

Which meant that maybe it was time to do some research on Falias - if like Camelot had told him Knights were named for ancient places then there had to be information about it somewhere - maybe even on Google.

Quirking a smile at the older Earth Knight, he made a note to find some time to look - one evening after he shut up shop would probably be good.

And talking about said shop it was probably best he headed back, he had early shop opening tomorrow.

"I guess I should head back" he admitted. One footstep then two, then he stopped, half turning to add "But thanks again and I look forward to meeting the others."

His bit said Falias turned again, but this time he walked onwards without turning back.
