Since none of her siblings had grown up to be Old Enough yet, Candy sometimes felt very alone. Her family couldn't join her in late night frolicking of any sort, since they still lived at home and had bedtimes. Nor could they enjoy some of the drinks and foods that Candy got to have because, well let's face it, alcohol is bad for foals. So she turned to her half siblings for company, and tonight that took the form of visiting Draft Punk's club for the very first time.

The bumping music could be heard a block away from the actual building. The lights of the front and the line leading into the building were indicators that perhaps her half brother was more popular than she thought. She didn't pull sibling rank to get in early; she waited her turn just like everyphony else. When she entered, her ears were assaulted with music, and her eyes with flashing lights. It took a minute to oriented herself.

When she finally could see, she found the bar and ordered a drink. Something fruity, with a pineapple slice attached. Then she leaned against the bar, staring out at the phonies and sipping her drink.

Candy jumped as suddenly, she was being talked to. She looked over at the phony, and found herself staring into very dark eyes. Unusually dark eyes. She blinked her own blue ones a couple of times, and then broke into a smile.

"WELL HI THERE!" she said loudly, hoping he could hear her over the music. "YOUR RIGHT, THIS IS MY FIRST TIME." This one didn't look to be related to TACO in any way, so she batted her eyes lashed just a little more than usual. His mane was simply gorgeous

A sudden change seem to come over the stallion as she spoke. Did she speak too loudly? Or sound lame? His next words were more subdued, and when he asked if she was Draft's sister, she inwardly groaned.

"Yeah I am. Well, I'm more of a half sister." she amended, hoping that would make him feel better. "Same dad, different mom." It used to bother her saying things like that, but she had long ago accepted her father's vivacious nature, and the phonies that may come out of it.

She took a generous drink from her glass and said "I'm Candy Dandy. Who are you?"

Candy Dandy giggled as he kissed her hoof. What a gentlephony! "Oh you flatter me! I am just a regular ol' mare!" She giggled again, then said "I wouldn't trouble the bartender with being my host when I have such a well-mannered stallion to show me around." She looked around the building. "It really is quite impressive in here! Nothing like my tiny shop."

Candy nodded in thanks to the bartender, and drank from her glass. She blinked a couple of times. Alcohol never stopped burning, no matter how much you drank to get used to it.

"Me? I'm an edible flower arranger." she said casually. "I take different foods and flowers and the like and make bouquets out of them. What about you?" She smiled at the wink. "What is your talent? Something to with the club?"

Between the music and Ink's lovely accent, Candy sometimes found it hard to understand what he was saying. She leaned in a little closer to catch more words, and through a combination of lip reading and what her ears picked up, managed to get the gist of what he was talking about.

"A tattoo artist? That's amazing!" Candy didn't know many phonies who had tattoos, and wondered how often they got them. Perhaps it was a store more appealing to humans and the other species that came to Phonyland.

"It depends on what the customer wants." she said when he asked about her work. "I do what the customer asks, and hopefully they like it in the end!"

The proximity to Ink gave Candy delightful shivers. It was something new, having a stallion pay this close attention to her. She let herself be drawn away from the bar, leaving her empty glass behind. He was right; the bar was clamoring with phonies intent on drinking the night away. The music rattled her chest now that her hooves were connected with the ground again. It was a fun feeling!

"Lead the way good sir." she said, tilting her head slightly up to reach his ear.

Candy moved in close, feeling their sides touch. She rolled her eyes at his wit, and blinked in surprise when he directed her gaze with his hoof. The lounge area certainly looked comfortable, and she could imagine after a long stretch of dancing, a plush booth would be welcome. "You guys sure made this place look great!" she said, following his tug with a small blush. "I can't imagine how much work went into putting it all together!
