'Let's go on a date."
Melvin said as he rubbed the towel against his recently washed hair and looked over at Rin. It had been a long day, but he'd done all his work and his day was clear tomorrow. "I'll take you someplace nice to eat. Whatever you want." He wasn't sure what foods Rin actually craved. Since they had to make due with the gruel they served in the cafeteria, it wasn't something that really came up. Aside from chocolates from the vending machines, he didn't know what her favorite foods were. All he knew was that he wanted to get out, and they hadn't really gone on an official date yet.

Rin's brows shot so high on her forehead, they might as well have given up and crawled right off her face. She wasn't expecting that, especially this far into... well. Things. That did not mean she was going to say no, however. "Honestly, I haven't ever gone to a fancy restaurant before so I like... can't suggest anything. Maybe outside of America?"

"Don't look so surprised. We're going out together. We should." He set the towel aside, grabbed a comb, and sat down on the bed in just a towel.
"So you're thinking of places like France or Italy? I guess we can go there, but probably a main city where we can pick up a guidebook and see what place speaks English." He didn't want to go someplace and wind up spending the entire time shouting English at someone in hopes they understood him.
"That...sounds good. Yeah. We can do that. Any famous city you always wanted to visit?" He hoped she didn't say anywhere in Scotland. "Paris? Barcelona? London? I'm sure places like that have plenty of great restaurants that don't need reservations." They probably had so many that they could have their pick, possibly even have lunch AND dinner in a nice place.

Rin looked a bit overwhelmed at the possibilities, "M-maybe someplace that speaks english... like London? I dunno. I haven't really been using my vacation." Rin watched Melvin keenly. "Surprise me?"

"I think we can do all those places bit by bit. We have leave each month. I've never had the chance to really travel the globe other than on really bad missions. Deserts and caves aren't really scenic." He told her as he smiled.
"We can go to London. I've never been. We can be tourist together, take some pictures. Maybe see a garden?" They had gardens in London, right? He heard they did somewhere.
"So want to do that tomorrow? I haven't used my leave at all this month." And he finally had a nice chunk of change again after the bail incident from before.

Rin winked at Melvin, "Sounds like a plan to me. I hear the showers and baths are fancy and different all over the world, too." Rin eyed Melvin's towel thoughtfully. "Not too expensive though. I just would enjoy a lovely meal is all."

"A big bath for two. I'd pay for that." Though he already planned to pay for anything, not that he was sure Rin could afford it but because it was just old fashion tradition on his part to do that. "We can get a nice hotel room, go out to eat, and walk around." Whatever struck their fancy, they could do while away. Just be normal for a little while without getting s**t-faced all the time.
Setting the comb on the nightstand, he leaned back and breathed out. "I'll set the alarm." They could head out at a reasonable time and make use of a full day. "We can get a nice breakfast when we get there with nice tea at one of those cafes I keep hearing about." He'd bring a backpack so that whatever souvenirs or things they got could be tossed in it.

Rin grinned from ear to ear, "That's if you could get me to leave a fancy hotel." But she nodded at the remark about the alarm, "Good idea though, hopefully no one needs us. Sudden trips are the best kind. Just sayin'."

"If anyone needs us, the can wait till we get back. Fingers crossed that no emergencies happen when we wake up." Being called for a mission would suck so hard when he was already looking forward to leave.
Moving over, he put his towel aside and started to slip into bed. He was tired and knew that if they wanted to be rested, they should go to bed soon. "And I will drag you out of a fancy hotel to eat out."

"Fiiine," Rin vaguely scolded before slipping in bed after him. "Scooch though, you're hogging the bed."

"But it's MY bed." He pointed out, but scooted over anyways. "It would be nice to get a bigger bed." A new bed. A fresh, clean bed that only he had been the sole sleeper one (aside from Rin) and not a long history or probably promoted or dead hunters. Just the thought of those dust mites made his skin crawl.
Leaning over, he gave Rin a minty-fresh kiss to the cheek and turned off the bedside light. "Night." He whispered, before wrapped his arms around her and closing his eyes.

"Yeah, one day Melvin. When one of us has a big enough room to house it." She immediately snuggled up the moment she heard the soft click of the light going out. Rin pressed her cheek cozily against his chest and closed her eyes. "See you in the mornin'."

In the morning, Melvin woke up to his alarm, got up, and shook Rin's shoulder. "Time to get up." He told her, and went to get ready for the day. He'd leave Rin to take her own pace, and started to take out some civilian clothes for the day. Picking out his things and a towel, he went to take a shower and gave Rin another shake to see if she'd wake up before leaving.
After a shower and getting dressed, he returned back to his room.

'Rin's own pace' apparently meant just rolling over and curling right back up. Apparently Melvin was keen to this game and gave her another startling shake which finally did her in. With a growl Rin slowly dragged herself out of bed and struggled to find clothing that matched somewhat to go in. Needless to say, Melvin returned to Rin baffledly staring at a few still folded shirts.

Closing the door behind him, he looked over at Rin staring at her clothes. "Having a hard time deciding?" He asked her, moving over to set his towel and bath caddy down and start looking for things they would need. He picked up a backpack and started to empty it out, setting it on his desk.
"I think the weather is nice there, but I'm going to bring a jacket in case it rains. I hear London gets a lot of rain sometimes." He just wanted to be sure. "We can always just buy whatever else we might need when we get there."
