supplied by a large cave underneath the top leading up to the small run down looking brewery kept snuggled away just on the north side of the peak there is Shen's brewery. underground in the cave is his MASSIVE stores where he keeps the hundreds of barrels of booze he has made as well as his smithy. though he is often gone from this place leaving heavy traps to ward off invaders or thieves. especially those after his booze

Last night, I had a dream.
I saw a place of steel, and wood, and earth, and sky. On the mountain, hidden away from prying eyes; something secret lies. I saw it - only vague glimpses, of course, but I saw it nonetheless. I think it's time for another adventure! If there's treasure to be found, then find it I will!
That's a hero's job, right?
One way or another, Lumine Mayflower, Wayward Celestial, found herself on the northern side of Youkai Mountain. Sword and rucksack in tow, she traversed the mountainside in another attempt to locate the source of her prophetic dream - like many, many times before. This wasn't the first vision of somewhere in Gensokyo, and it certainly wouldn't be the last!
With her thoughts focused on trying to make sense of the dream, Lumine nearly bumped face-first into the side of a rather large building. She pressed her ear against the wall of the structure, listening for any sort of sound from within. It sounded empty..?
Lumine would spend the next few moments trying to locate a door of some kind. After all, nothing would keep her from whatever sort of treasure lay within!

Upon a single touch of the actual door three blades popped out stabbing and a fourth then a fifth slashed horizontally. directly in front of the door. Off into the distance Shen was harvesting the mountain hopps for his brew on the southern slope of the mountain. He had just finished and was quickly making his way up. To an oni these mountains were perfect for a home and getting around was a cinch. He was looking forward to a long evening of relaxing and booze, perhaps making a new barrel for the next brew.

The blades stabbed out from the door quicker than Lumine could react.
She recoiled as the first three impacted her body, sending her backwards and out of harm's way as the fourth and fifth swung after. This trap would have killed any human, and seriously wounded most youkai, but a Celestial's skin had a quality of being like stone, with the softness of down.
"OW!" Lumine cried out, rubbing her shoulder and ribs where the spikes had impacted, after having landed on her rear.

in the distance there was a soft clack clack of a foot falling on stone in between great leaps before a solid thud as a pair of golden on black eyes peered into the eyes of the MUCH smaller celestial. ".......who are you.....and why are you tying to enter my house?" he held a large basket of hopps and his large horns sleeked back.

"Ah!" Lumine gasped, fumbling to return to her upright position. Once on her feet, she turned to meet this...large... person, planting her fists on both hips.
"H-Hi there! Oh, this is your house..?" She turned her head to look at the door that just nearly tried to kill her. "... Does your front door attack you, too? ...A-Anyway, my name is Lumine Mayflower! And I'm an adventurer! I uh... I heard there was some interesting treasure inside a building like this around here, so I came to investigate!"
The Celestial paused, then grinned widely. "So, are you like the guardian of the treasure? If so, then I must need to defeat you to claim my prize! That's it, isn't it? Like those old story books!" Lumine hopped up on a nearby rock to help level her gaze with the much, MUCH taller creature, and stood proudly with her arms folded under her chest. "So what's it gonna be? Give me the treasure and I'll let ya live!"

"....cute.....really.....from the looks of you ...you are either human or close to it....so get lost.....the treasures I keep are my own....I made them...and I keep them...." He took a single step forward touching the stone she was standing on. it cracked and began to crumble in response to his touch. "why do you think I trapped every last meter of this place?" He showed no anger but some aggravation was portrayed on his rather weathered face.

"Wh-Whoa!" Lumine stumbled as the rock trembled and cracked, but she quickly regained her balance and stood again. "Hey, I'm better than human, ya'know? I'm a Celestial! That makes me like... I dunno, like a god or something! No, better than that; I'm a hero!"
She folded her arms again, puffing up her chest with pride. "And heroes are supposed to find treasure! ....and princesses, but I haven't found any of those yet..." She grinned again, not out of smugness but rather anticipation. The brightness of her smile was matched only by the vibrant hue of her icy-blue hair and eyes. "You look kinda grumpy, so just gimmie what I want and we can be done with this, okay?"

"....do heroes steal things from hard working Oni?.....or do bratty little thieves?" he raised and opened his right hand "...Hoken" fire spilled into it and he raised then opened his left. "...Raiken..." Lightning crackled and fizzed in his palm. "you can have my hard earned treasures....when you can strike me down...brat"

"Hey! I'm not little! Or a brat! OR a thief!"
Lumine didn't budge as the Oni summoned elemental force into the palms of his hands (though a bead of sweat did drip down her brow if one were to notice!). "I'm a full-grown woman, ya hear?! Not to mention beautiful! And I'm a hero, so there's no way I'd ever resort to thievery!" The Celestial reached to her hip and grasped her blade's hilt. "If you wanna do things the hard way, then so be it! But I'll warn ya, I'm not gonna go easy on you!"
With a quick motion, Lumine withdrew her sword from it's sheath. The crimson blade... looked like any normal sword, and to the careful eye of a craftsman Oni forge master, one could tell it was nothing more than a human weapon with its blade painted a bright red. Regardless of the (un?)intended deception, Lumine held her sword with both hands, standing proudly and, with her trademark smile, was ready for battle.
"So come on!"

He frowned "...I do not enjoy killing.....even the guilty......and I refuse to kill the stupid......nor even a brat who thinks itself a hero..." mindful of the blade he knew full well it could sever limbs or even his head if he let her get to close. he would have to press the boundaries of the girl's defensive power. "...if you feel the common sense coming back to you then let me know and we can stop this foolishness.....Hoken!" he threw his right fist forward and flames burst from it digging up the ground closing in at her like a meteor as his left hand swung behind him readying a blast he flinched as a harsh memory passed through his mind and the fire ball shimered weakening but still it carried enough power to blast through most defenses even in the yokai world

"WHOA--!" Lumine screamed as the blast of heat knocked her off the rock. She lost her grip on her sword, too, after it became super-heated from the fireball. The Celestial landed a few meters away, some parts of her clothes bearing small embers.
Lumine quickly rolled onto her feet, patting her clothes to snuff out the small embers. "Whaddya trying to do, burn my clothes off?! Stupid pervy oni!" ...Realizing her sword was missing (and planted in the ground a short ways away), Lumine bent down to pick up a small rock, no bigger than her hand, and chucked it at Shen. While the rock (hopefully) distracted the Oni, Lumine made a mad dash for her sword in an attempt to pluck it from the ground.
If she were to succeed, she would alter her course and charge Shen, leaping and swinging down with an overhand slice.

Seeing her bare skin changed something in him make him shiver and quake but quickly as she dodged for the blade his left hand plunged into his basket of hopps and he yanked out a large hammer now sparking with lightning, swinging it as fast as he could to smash the sword into the ground. his eyes showed anger and distress. there was a batting in his head as well as here on this mountain top.

Lumine managed to pluck her sword from the ground, just in time, but failed to follow up in any meaningful way. The kinetic force released from the hammer as it impacted the ground sent Lumine and her sword flying backwards. She tumbled along the ground, before skidding to a halt on her stomach.
"Ow ow ow ow...!" Lumine complained, holding her head as she tried to stand, only to stumble and fall onto one knee. Her ears were ringing and she was disoriented, but that didn't stop her mouth. "S-So, wanna do it the hard way, huh?" She grinned, though it seemed pained. "Okay, I'm not gonna hold anything back now!"

he frowned his hammer raising in his left hand as his right came back fuming like magma ".....I do not want to fight you any more little girl.....but I will not lay down and let you take what is mine......" he calmed closing his eyes and the already blinding light from his right hand became brighter as the flames rolled off of it "......Kami....." his eyes opened gently "....Ho...." his frown faded into a sad regretful face "....Ken...." he thrust his fist forward but at the last moment as the sky darkened from his massive power flowing through his body his fist flinched to his left aiming only at her blade as what almost looked like Armageddon zoomed towards her
