Grimm's golden hooves quietly slid across the southern sand, olive green eyes casually taking in the sight of his surroundings. He preferred the mountains, but the desert had its own form of beauty, he supposed... But touring the sands was not his goal. Word had finally reached him in his isolated part of the Isle about a stallion, a very important stallion. One that had gone missing ages before... If he hadn't had so many children to raise, he would've scoured the Isle for the lost child. But he did have those other children, and he couldn't leave them... There. A patch of gorgeous, royal purple among the dreary brown and yellow. Sand splayed everywhere as Grimm took off towards the splotch of color, not stopping until he was only a few feet from the purple stallion. "... It's been too long, son," he greeted warmly--and a bit breathlessly. He'd found him. He'd finally found him... Demoni blinked from his perch just outside the cave, staring at the very... plain-colored Azrien that had so casually strode onto Ruin's territory without any indication of fear. "... Ruin," he called over his shoulder. "I think you should see this."

Myth was rested in the shade of a cactus, his tail fanning him from behind as he wrote in the sand. To any other azrein the runes he wrote would mean nothing, but to Ruin and his father Rumps, who had taught him, it would mean something serious. Myth was playing with numerology, something both deadly and useful to anyone who knew it or sought its wisdom. He was playing with the numbers in his spare time because of the latest fable he had heard, one that had a ring of truth to it, though he couldn't be sure, having not been in the north in a long time. His musings, however, were interrupted by the fast, yet heavy hoofsteps that only one that was carrying a large burden could make. The rhythm was familiar in a long ago way, and when he looked up, his violet eyes opened wide in big surprise as he grinned and stood to greet the one that had raised him. "It has, Father." He said warmly to the other stallion. _______________ Ruin stood from his place in the sun where he was soaking in rays, and looked to where Demoni had gestured. "Who is he?" He crackled out, his eyes narrowing as he noted with displeasure, Myth's joy at seeing this stranger.

Grimm's face lit up at the warm reply, stepping closer and gently nuzzling the younger male. "I'm sorry I didn't find you sooner," he apologized quietly. He'd heard that his precious son had been through horrific things at the hands of humans... He couldn't help but feel that if he'd been around, he could've saved Myth from at least some of that agony. Changing subject, he asked more pleasantly, "How have you been?"_____________ Demoni watched the interaction. "... He looks familiar, but I can't put a name to his face." Which was odd--very odd for the demon. He didn't forget names and faces. What was even stranger was Myth's obvious joy at the newcomer's appearance. Myth never showed his emotions like that...

Ruin nodded. Well.. time to find out. He couldn't have his little servant just leaving his servitude now could he? He motioned for Demoni to follow as he trotted p to the odd stranger who showed no fear for the two demons. "Salutations." he crackled.
Myth looked up from his father, in the middle of something he was about to say when Ruin and Demoni showed up. His face went immediately passive as he turned to face them. He was silent, considering his options.
Myth realized, that with Grimm coming to visit him in the south, Grimm would see a very different side of Myth than he had been as a foal and young adult. The war and humans had changed him, especially when it came to dealing with his 'masters'.

Demoni glided after his mate, smirking in his usual manner. He remained silent at Ruin's side, observing for the moment.
Grimm instantly noted the change and, although there was no difference in his expression or body language, changed accordingly. "Salutations," he greeted, stepping between the demons and his son. His stance was casual and his olive green eyes held no fear for the monstrous beings in front of him.

Myth looked between the three before opening his mouth. "Ruin, Demoni, this is Grimm. Grimm, this is Ruin and Demoni. My current.... employers..." He said, stumbling over his last word as he couldn't find a different more apt description.
Ruin raised his eyebrows at the male, his flames jumping and prancing across his frame as he noted the hay with a hint of delicious want to burn them and the other stallion to a crisp, but he held himself at bay for the moment. "So what brings you hear and how do you know each other?" He asked/

Grimm just smiled, absently playing with the string that was hanging down from the spindle suspended from the bale of hay on his back. "That's a redundant question, isn't it? I obviously came to see my son..." He trailed off, looking over his shoulder at Myth. "Which one is he?" he asked innocently, obviously unsure of which name was associated with the flaming stallion.
Demoni wanted to snarl and attack the stallion, but two things stopped him. The first was an... uncomfortable feeling he got the instant he'd taken a step forward. The second... was the light glistening off of the end of that string. It had far too much shine to it to be straw... what was it? Gold. It was gold, just like the stallion's hooves. His eyes widened slightly in surprise. Spinning straw into gold? He knew there was a fairy tale about that somewhere...

Ruin stifled a growl, though his flames danced in anger. The impertinence! "I am Ruin, Spinner. And I would insist that next time you decide to step onto my lands, you ask permission and wait for it to be granted." He growled, his voice sounding like the flickering of angry flames as the ground began to crystalize beneath him.
Myth ached to take a step back but stayed where he was and looked at Ruin docilely. "I shall escort him out, Ruin. I shant be gone long." He gave a small nod to Demoni, then without waiting for permission, ushered Grimm away from the two demons.

Demoni watched uncomfortably as the two left, especially since he caught sight of an amused smile on the other stallion's face. "... He makes my skin crawl." There was something eerie about the seemingly normal stallion, and not just his spinning of straw into gold. There was more to the male than met the eye...
Grimm was amused, but he let his son escort him away. He nudged his son gently, quietly speaking to him. "You're too young to be worrying about my safety," he chuckled, olive eyes dancing. The gentle tease aside, he added, "The audacity, though... this place was my land long before it was his." What an usurper. Maybe he'd push his buttons a little when Myth was no longer in their service...

Myth gave a crooked grin at Grimm, shaking his head in amusement. "They do not realize that. They are demons, spawned in the Underworld, I have stories I have found about them. Being born of hell, they do not realize that nothing of this world belongs to them." He replied with a small chuckle, or what passed as a chuckle for Myth.
____________
Ruin watched until Myth and the other stallion disappeared before responding. "I do not trust that he is Myth's father." He said, distrust of Myth immediately rising in him. The other stallion had nothing in similarities to Myth so he could not logistically be the father. And by his reaction to Ruin, he was an enemy. A weak one against Ruin for sure, but an enemy non-the-less, and with Myth nearby and close to Ruin's operations.. Well there were a few issues that Ruin and Demoni would need to flatten out.

"Oh, I think Demoni was starting to pick something up," Grimm replied. "That's why he was giving me such an odd look. That and..." he trailed off, unsure of whether to tell Myth that little tidbit just yet. Shaking his head, he smiled. "We should exchange stories," he suggested. "I'm sure we've both accumulated many."
_____________
"I don't either, due to the lack of resemblance. However... I would not be surprised if he was a surrogate father figure. It would explain the... warm welcome Myth gave him." Demoni was quiet for a moment, then continued. "There's something unnerving about him. A spindle that spins straw into gold, a complete lack of fear, and this uncomfortable feeling..." He trusted his intuition, so it was worth mentioning.

Ruin looked at Demoni. 'Unnerving." He responded, turning away and beckoning his mate to follow him into the cave."

Myth smiled. "I would love to. There's actually a couple I have found recently that I could use your insight on." he mentioned, his tail flicking. "Oh. I almost forgot. How's Runa?' he asked, thinking of the elder mare he had been fond of as a foal.

Grimm's olive eyes lit up at the prospect, then chuckled at the mention of Runa. "She's as grumpy as ever. Apparently she had to chase off a flock of her sister's suitors... But she mentioned one mare in particular, which I think is a good sign." They would never be as close as they were, but he couldn't help hoping that Runa could find some joy in this second life of hers. And specifically mentioning an Azrien when she loathed almost all of them said something.

Grimm smiled sadly. "No, we're not... my Runa... died in a rockslide and I tried to bring her back..." He shook his head, forgetting that Myth had never met the "new" Runa. "I thought I'd failed, so I left." Sighing, he forced himself to continue. "But she... did return to life. But she was very bitter about it, and her personality is... very different." It was unforgivable, what he'd put her through, and she was no longer the mare he adored. Their relationship wasn't much more than an empty husk full of memories now. "I'm hoping that this mare she mentioned will bring back the happiness in her life that I stole from her."
