"Tell me what you want, Kilian . . . ."
"What's happening to me?" he wondered. Why did he keep having these dreams?
He sighed and sank down under the tree. He'd had dreams before, every now and again, of kissing Erionda. Lately, though, the dreams had gotten more potent, more real. Even now, he ached so badly that he closed his eyes against the force of his need. He'd never felt anything quite as overpowering as the current of wanting, the desperation of his state of mind. He had to do something or he'd end up going crazy.
Staggering to his feet, Kilian headed toward the nearby oasis, knowing in the back of his mind that it was a completely hopeless endeavor. He'd done the same thing for the last four nights, seeking out some sort of relief in the cold night waters. It never, ever worked.
This dream had been the worst of them. The first dream had been no more than the heat of her lips against his, and that had been enough to keep him awake the rest of the night. It seemed like the images grew steadily worse with every passing night.
Rising out of the water, Rio blinked a thin white cotton tunic clung to her skin as the water rippled off. Her hips disappeared from view under the ebbing current. Sitting on the rock watching over her as she bathed, Kilian never had the strength to resist her, couldn’t ignore her, didn’t really want to. Her wet hands slipped into his hair, pulling herself up as he wrapped his arms around her, as he accepted the passion behind her kiss, as he pulled her closer to his body.
Bathed in moonlight her body was veiled only by dark shadows, glimmering planes, droplets of water like diamonds on her skin and scales. She pulled him into the water, shoved aside his shirt, forcing him back against the rocks, she trapped him with her body. hands running up and down his chest. Her mouth scorched him, as he gasped her name. Every part of her called to him, tugged at him, as though her body was able to speak to his, as though nothing mattered by the moment the time. the tide of ignited passion.
I want you, she whispered, please.
“Er-R-Rio,” he rasped out, unable to think as she touched him. His body reacted to her touch. Fire. Intense, burning, unyielding fire... Powerless to stop her, terrified, yet accepting. Something...
It was then Kilian had jerked awake. Grimacing at his own weakness, Kilian blocked that out of his mind. Something about it had felt immoral, dirty, as though he shouldn’t have put a face on his need, as though he were somehow belittling her with what he had done. What he hadn’t expected was to find Rio already sitting at the water’s Oasis. When had she woken up?

The rise and fall of her chest under the thin white tunic was evident. Her wet hair shone against the light the moon cast. Her hands were wringing the water from her hair, before flicking it over her shoulder. Her face only half turning towards him without looking. She wasn’t aware Kilian was there. She had been uncomfortable the past couple nights. Nightmares of Alpha plagued her. Dreams of being trapped in a cage, of being ripped apart. The cool rush of the water over her body helped to bring her back to her senses.Staring up at the moon Rio gave a soft smile. Kilian had been there, had saved her from her own stupidity. She just couldn’t bring herself to thank him. As if she was about to confess some deep buried emotion. Shaking her head lightly, the twisted hair separated into a rippling waterfall across her back. Part of her yearned for him to return.A sound in the distance beckoned her to turn her head back towards the path that lead to her home. Searching the strange shadow in the distance. “Kilian? is that you?”

Kilian leaned against a large standing rock staring over Rio’s form. Frowning as he pondered the recent events. He sighed and rubbed a hand over his face. He had been debating if Rio’s actions in the tunnels were really her own, or feelings she had conjured out of fear and desperation.
Kilian froze, looking up to find her eyes searching his figure. His breath caught in his throat at the sight of her. He ached to move towards her. Wanted so bad to embrace her right then and there.
“Yes.” He whispered softly.

“I can’t see you, but, don’t leave me.” Erionda felt secure and safe with Kilian nearby. Like a shadow that protected her. He always seemed to know somehow, or at least she thought he did. That she somehow had come to rely on him, as if a bond had been created the moment he opened the barred doors. “I’m, I’m not scared when I’m with you.”
Rising from the rock she sat on she walked towards Kilian. Her eyes shining, she appeared exactly as she had in his dreams. She swallowed as she struggled to find the right words. Stopping only a hand width from him. Her eyes staring up to meet his. To her he appeared troubled. Raising her hand she brushed a dreadlock from his cheek. “Are you alright Kilian?”

He didn’t say anything, trying to keep the burning desire under control. No he wasn’t okay. He wanted her, and he wanted her to want him. “You promised me a favor.” Kilian muttered, breaking the contact between them as he looked away. His face flushing below his dark skin. Was he really going to do this? Was he really going to ask her?

Erionda blinked twice. That was right, during their fight with Alpha she had smiled at him. Telling him she owed him a favor. No matter what it was. A slight frown etched on her features as she searched his face. Did he want her to leave? Had she caused him so much trouble that now he no longer wanted her around? Frowning at the foreboding in his tone, Erionda cautiously nodded and tried to brush the feeling that she might not want to hear whatever it was he wanted to say. or even ask of her. “All right” Erionda agreed slowly

Kilian could feel his face warming under her gentle perusal. The worry evident in her expression only made it that much worse. Ah, hell how am I supposed to ask her? He wanted this. Badly. However, he was afraid he’d scare her off. Was it too soon? Would she back away from him, appalled that he would ask such a thing of her? He looked into her eyes, desperate for the contact he so desired.

The longer it took him to speak the more worried Rio grew. “You’re starting to scare me.” She finally said, breaking the uncomfortable silence that had fallen. A soft warm breeze shifting her damp hair, she could feel the droplets against her back. Like trickles of relief from the overwhelming heat of Eowyn. Her fingers twitched her mind whirled with possible scenarios in which she would have caused a terrible outcome. She couldn’t help but think the worst to happen. Perhaps he had really come for her head in the end, like other Oblivionites and Orderites before him.
She shook her head. No. That didn’t make sense. If he really wanted to he could have pretended he hadn’t seen her back in Alpha’s territory. He could have left her there. Left her to the nightmarish fate that seemed to plague her dreams at night. She opened her mouth to speak again, closing it as quickly as she opened and turned to look away. She couldn’t meet his gaze. Not when her mind thought of the worst things that could happen.

“I want you... to kiss me.”
There. He had asked her. The words had come out in a hushed tone but were loud enough for Erionda to hear. His fists clenched at his sides and he readied himself for the rejection he feared so much. It would break him. Her rejecting him. He knew it would. He’d much rather face a dozen Diabi than lose her.

Erionda blinked. Her face seemed to heat shades darker than ever almost instantly. Her eyes filled with a strange emotion, a cautious hope. “What?” She asked. Daring to peak out at the male before her from the corner of her eyes. Did she hear him right? No, her mind was playing tricks on her. This wasn’t something an Oblivionite would say to another race, let alone a horribly filthy half breed like herself. A hunted creature. One of the most undesirable beings in all of Magesc. And he wanted her to kiss him? Did he even know what he was getting into?
The worst thing that could be seen was a pair of unmatched races getting together. Her father had been removed from the Celestial plane because of his choice in her mother. And her mother had never had the chance to see what he had called a great splendor. Her own parents had to hide their love for one another. They had been chased out of the Orderite village on Serenia only a week after she was born. Because they had seen them holding hands. Because they walked together as a couple. Because she, a quarter Orderite three quarter Dovaa baby was held tightly in the hands of a Hybrid.
People would hate them. Hate seeing any relationship from them. It was a curse. Against all the laws in the world as if they spat on the very foundation of each races beliefs and morals.

Kilian swallowed hard but couldn’t look away. “I want you to kiss me...” Again, he had uttered his desires. His body shook as he stayed in the spot he was at, fearing moving would somehow break the spell they both seemed to be under at the moment. He watched as her skin blushed and another rush of heat swept through his body.

Rio swallowed hard as her heart hammered against her chest. She had to be hearing things. Maybe her ears were misleading her. If this was true. Didn’t he know what people would do if they saw them? Tear them apart, hunt her down with all the magic they could muster up. And what of his family? What about his parents. His cousin he had mentioned such a long time ago. She knew so little about him. She didn’t even know how close he was to his own family, and if he was as close as she suspected since he had risked life and limb for water from Serenia. Erionda could only guess it was close enough that they would be ripped apart by them. If not by the people of magesc to start with.
She had a feeling she could rely on her hybrid friends, since they didn’t see the races the same as those of pure blood. Daring a glance from the corner of her eyes towards Kilian she noticed his hands. Was he nervous? Angry? He was shaking. Maybe unlike her he felt cold. Her eyes settled on the dreads against his skin. The moonlight seemed to give them a transfiguring hue. A beauty she couldn’t capture with her hands.
As if guided by some strange force she found herself turning her head to properly look at the moon before turning back to face him again.

Staring at her with an inscrutable frown, as though he were trying to read her mind, Kilian didn’t look away as more color seeped into his cheeks. He felt the heat of the blush covering his skin. He was a warrior. He had never blushed so much in his lifetime, not even as a child. This woman, though, brought out feelings in him he never knew where there

Her eyes shifted from the moon the shifting color in his skin. His skin, she had never seen so much of it before. Until now she hadn’t realized but, he had taken off his face mask. His shirt was also gone. Was this what he looked like when he slept. Catching sight of his blushing, Erionda couldn’t help but blush harder in response. What was going on? The amount of skin before her, the soft and firm request. A request for a kiss no less. The hybrid struggled to breath. “Are you... sure?” She whispered, unable to drag her eyes away from his.
He was sure wasn’t he? Why else would he seem to be blushing so hard. Unless he was intoxicated? Was he drunk? Poisoned? Had something out in the desert sand gotten to him? Her mind seemed to fuzz as she tried to remember the hours before sleeping. The nightmare had dimmed if not erased most of those memories. Had he stayed at her house? Sought refuge somewhere else?

Kilian nodded slowly. Was he sure? He had never wished for something as much as he did at that moment. Kissing Erionda, he knew, would be like walking in heaven. The desire that had slowly consumed him since meeting her had turned into a raging fire. Every time he had seen her, he wished to embrace her. Hold her. He had held back, though, knowing she disliked being touched by others. He had respected her. He watched her face carefully, wanting to see her reaction.
