Biroki hesitated. This was it, the day he had waited, sweated, and dealed for. Everything was set up and ready. He was ready- he had planned how he would do this for the maximum effect. He had choreographed every moment of the big reveal, his steps on the path he would take from her house, how he would hold her, what he would say. He had stayed up all last night, just thinking about how he would do this. He was ready for this, as ready as he would ever be.

The house was ready, too: he had been living in it for a few days, just to make sure. The roof was protective, the floors were sturdy, the walls weren't too close or too far.

He knocked at the edge of the hut that Zuri lived in with her mother and half-siblings.

"Z-Zuri?"
Now if only his stammer would go away. Just for a day, an hour, a few minutes, even.
"H-hey, Zuri?" he called, "It... It's Biroki."

He waited patiently for her to appear, shifting nervously from foot to foot.
"I'd... I'd like to see you." he said, quieter, his smile meek, almost shy.

Stammer or no, this was still according to plan. Things would be great. They would be better than great. They would be excellent.

        It was finally finished! Zuri had spent all of her free time making the furs of the kiyeru into a proper blanket. Her first attempt had been to thick, they would have suffocated in forest with it, but after some adjustments she had deemed it ready for use. She had slept with it the night before, just to make sure that it was perfect. At hearing Biroki's voice she smiled. "I'll be right there!" she called as she folded the blanket. She had got a piece of red cloth to tie around it in a bow and put it atop her bed. Oh how she hoped he would like it!

        Rushing to the door way Zuri took Biroki's hands in hers and kissed him lightly. "How have you been my love, I haven't seen you lately as much as I would have wished." and with that Zuri pouted, but quickly smiled. "All is well though. Close you eyes so I can bring you inside for your gift!" she said excitedly. Although part of her wondered why he had come seeking her, she was so excited about the gift that she had completely forgotten that he had came looking for her and not the other way around.

He kissed her back, more than a little off guard. Gift? What was this about a gift? Had she been looking for him? No... he'd been looking for her! "Oh... okay?" he said, confused. Well, he already had a blindfold, so he might as well try it out and make sure it wasn't itchy, right? He wrapped it around his eyes. "W-well" stupid stutter "I mean... Yes." If she wanted to give him a gift now then he couldn't ask her to come with him yet. It didn't feel right.
But a gift... What if it was something that wouldn't work in his-- their-- new house? What if he didn't like it, whatever it was? Well, then, of course he would lie. If she had a gift for him, he bet that whatever it was had involved as much work as his house, and if he didnt lie he would upset her. That was the last thing he wanted to do.
"Lead the way?" he said, holding out an arm for her to guide him with.

        Blind fold? Where did that come from? Had she given it to him, no, it was a nice touch but she had not thought of that. Well now that she had him blind folded she couldn't resist teasing a bit. When he held out his arm to guild her she took it and wrapped it around her waste and then wrapped around her as well. She kissed him roughly on the mouth and then more softly on the side of his face. She kissed him a few more times before laughing and untangling herself from his arms. "While I would love to keep giving you kisses, I'm really excited to give you your gift." she proclaimed before she started to lead him towards her room.

        She was scared he wasn't going to like it, but she had hoped he would. Her whole family thought it was marvelous, but that didn't mean he would like it as well. However she would know from the first time he saw it, she was good at telling peoples emotions and even better at telling his. They were just in sync like that.

        Soon they were at her room, and after placing him right in front of her bed where the gift sat. Moving behind him she took off his blindfold. "Do you like it? I figured we could sleep with it sometimes whenever we move. It's from the pelt of a kiyeru." she said proudly. "I caught it all by myself, and made the blanket it with a little help from my mother. It was my first time ever making something like that."

He hadn't been expecting that. Not seeing her while kissing her was certainly a new experience, one he quite liked. "Are you sure we should be doing this here?" he murmured,His hands drifting a little bit. He was more than a little confused, but completely game for anything she wanted him to do. It wasn't exactly why he had come there, but, well... And then she drew away.
"Oh. Um..." he was a little embarrassed, "Right. Your present." it was bad to forget these things, he knew, especially when she was supposed to be leading him to whatever it was, or was he leading her? Oh it was all very confusing. He had been a little distracted, okay?

She took off the blindfold and he blinked in the light. What was it? He picked up the blanket and ran it through his fingers. It was so soft and warm and... did she say Kiyeru?

"You caught a Kiyeru?!" he said, surprised. Kiyeru were rare, or so he had heard. Rare and ferocious! But his Zuri was fiercer, he bet. He thought it was a little heavy for a blanket, but Zuri had made it and he did like it- it felt so nice and airy, like a piece of cloud, ripped from the sky.
"It's wonderful! You made this, Zuri? Then it is better than wonderful- it is an honor" he mock-bowed to her playfully, still a bit giddy from the kissing (which he hoped would resume at some point)

        She had laughed. No it wasn't the place for that kind of attention, however no one was around as far as she knew, so it wasn't that bad. This was why the two of them needed their own place, so that they could do whatever they wanted whenever they wanted. This blanket was a start.

        She smiled brightly at his reaction. He seemed to like it, and the little bow proved it. "Oh I'm so glad that you like it! And yes, it took me three days before I even saw the Kiyeru! However once I did I caught it, I thought it would make a wonderful addition to our home whenever we move." she said throwing her arms around him once more and kissing him again.

        Then again no one was home, and her bed was right there. Oh but he had came to find her right? Kissing him once more she separated slightly from him. "Love, did you have something for me? After all you did come looking for me." she commented with a smile.

Biroki didn't know whether anybody was home, and he shyly acknowledged that that made this very... interesting. He sort of liked the cloak-and-dagger feeling, but it would be less stressful soon. Less stress was good too. He smiled as she threw her arms around him. 'Whenever they moved in' - how soon that would be. The fact that she didn't know and that he hadn't revealed it yet was even more, ah, inspiring.

He glanced reluctantly and a little longingly at the bed as she drew away. "I-it can wait..." Right? The house would stay standing- it was well built, after all. That was one good thing he could say about that builder fellow- he knew what he was doing. He smiled meekly, though there was a bit more heat then usual in his expression. "... it should, anyway." He pulled her into another kiss. He sort of knew what he was doing, too.
Then again, he wanted her to see it in daylight. He didn't think that he could last very long, but he probably would stay until evening. Just because. And then he would have to wait to show her their new house.
On the other hand, that bed.
But he wanted to show her the house now. He was all psyched to show it to her, now that he knew it was safe.
But those lips... those hips...
But they could wait until there, right?
Right?
"Mmmph." This was a very conflicted decision.

        She raised an eyebrow towards him. It should wait? What was it that he was going to show her, already she was excited for the surprise. Then again, there was that bed. She could tell that was what was distracting him. She wasn't surprised, they two of them were young, and very much in love. That was what people in love did. Right? Anyway, she drank her tea every morning just in case. Better safe then sorry. Then again she wasn't sure if she had drank it that morning? She had right... She couldn't remember, but she was sure she had.

        "I'm sure it can wait, just a little tiny while?" she teased as she snuggled up towards him. They didn't have to take long, though she wouldn't mind if they did. It was enjoyable no matter what. Her mate might have been meek in person, but... Well she blushed thinking of the things.

Biroki grinned stupidly. Well, she wanted to, too. That sealed the deal for him. The damn house could just wait it's turn.

~~~
Mmmm. That had been good. He was resting, his head on her chest, and he was quite comfortable. He had lost track of time at some point and he remembered that he had had something he was supposed to be doing. Mmmm... what was it... If it involved getting up, he wasn't sure he wanted to do that.
A gift, that sounded about right. He liked gifts. She had given him something, a fur blanket. Oh yes, she had distracted him with the fur blanket and he had been so set on showing her...
The house.
How long had he been here again? He took a quick glance at his skin- still black, which meant that it was, at least, still daylight.
"Mmm..." He said. He was so comfortable... he really didn't want to move, "Well, what do you want to do now?"
He knew he should really be thinking about the house and how much she would love it, but he was only human and he mainly, at the moment, wanted more of what they had already been doing.
        Zuri laid there, running her hands through his hair as he laid on her chest. She could do this all day really, and wouldn't that be fun. Laying there in silence she was perfectly happy, not a care in the world. If only things could be like this all the time. Then he interrupted the silence and caused her to open an eye.
        She smiled at his question. Hadn't he been the one to come find her? "Well that depends my love, can whatever you came here to show me still wait? I'm down for whatever you are. The rest of my night is reserved for you." she said as she ran her fingers along his jaw with her free hand while the other hand still played with his hair.
It would be so nice to just be with Zuri and forget about the stupid house. But as he lay there and thought about it, he wondered...
"Mmmm..." he said gently stroking her hand on his jaw, bringing it in to kiss it tenderly. "It can..." he said, his voice warm and playful. He kissed her hand again, holding it against his chest, "Mmm... But it probably shouldn't..." he said reluctantly sitting up, "And S-since I have a whole evening with you..." Oh what a wonderful thought. Busy lives kept them apart so often, it was lovely to have all this time, just for the two of them. "We can... mix it up a little." He was trying to convince himself to get up and not just return to her embrace, and it was working. He really did want to show her the house, after all. Its not as though we can't go back to this after... he thought, and in the house no less. Wouldn't it be good? Wouldn't it be great? Yes. It would.
He managed to move himself off the bed. "Mmm... If you're up for it, then we should... we should go." he secured his pants, more than a little coyly and self-conciously, trying to hide his smile. He tightened the belt and turned to offer his assitence, "Take your time" he said, smiling sweetly.
        She smiled as he kissed her hand. What was he talking about? He normally wasn't this coy or confusing. Seemed like she was still learning new things about him much to her delight. When he sat up she did the same with a smirk. "Mix it up? That sounds interesting." she teased him as she ran her fingers along his chest.
        When he moved off the bed she frowned slightly for a second than perked up. Now she was very very curious. She got up and dressed as well, staying within his reach but not touching him as she got dressed slowly. "Lead the way." she said as she reached for one of his hands tenderly.
It sounded interesting. She had said that. Biroki felt a little thrill of excitement.
He took her hand and began leading her through the village, a little shy but also just adorably happy to be walking with her where people could see.
"It's not far, the thing." he said, as they reached the outskirts of the village, stopping for a moment.
"Mmmm...." he said thoughtfully, before bringing out the blindfold.
"H-here. Put this on?" he said, holding it out to her, his body language offering to put it on for her.
        As they walked through the village she smiled, holding on to him happily. It wasn't like everyone didn't know that they were a couple, they were out and about as much as time permitted them, but still it was nice to remind people that he was hers and she was his.
        Soon they were on the outskirts of the village and she was a little confused. Were they going to the spot they first met? Or some kind of picnic? The possibilities were endless. And than he wanted to blindfold her. With one raised eyebrow she turned around. "Go right a head my love." she purred towards him.
He wrapped the blindfold carefully and gently over her eyes, and took her by the hand.
"This way." he said, guiding her gently along the path, stopping in the clearing to take in the scene.
The sunlight arced through the canopy, hitting the roof just at the right angle and gilding the house with warmth. An insect chirped in the near distance, it's loud tune, part of the Jahuar harmony, a perfect accompanyment and a great first impression. The flowers, he knew, were set up on the table inside in a vase, just right. He would have wanted a few glowing bugs to be flitting around the house for that extra special feel, but...
"Well..." he began, placing his hands on her shoulders before moving them gently- as if he was looking for any excuse to touch her skin (Partially true!)- up to her neck and, finally, to the loose knot of the blindfold.
"Are you ready?" his voice could barely contain the mixture of nerves, excitement, and repressed delight.
