Hiya. I'm Lyndis Sunderson.

Out of breath, soaked, and laughing, Lyndis arrived at her dorm's door. It took her several minutes to find her key, but once she did, she stumbled into the room, leaving the door open for Donny's arrival. Once in her bedroom, she quickly stripped out of her wet clothes before entering the adjoining bathroom. A quick shower was needed, if only to wash the chlorine from her hair. Within five minutes, she was out and changing into a fresh set of shorts and a tank top. Stepping back into her bedroom, she rummaged around for her school books and homework assignments. Once Lyn had collected all that she needed, she moved to sprawl the work out onto the living room's coffee table. Donny really was much better in academics than herself, and she was always grateful to have his help in school.

Danny had staggered in while Lyn was in the shower. He was used to it. He wasn't the type of guy that went around as a peeping tom, so he was used to it. He made himself comfortable as he waited. Once his friend was done and had her books out he moved them to the side a bit. "Okay what subjects are you having trouble with?" He asked his friend with a grin. He pulled a piece of paper out of one of her notebooks so he could do any math or science problem she could come up with. Once he grabbed the pen to go with it he placed both objects in front of him and put his hand on his lap.

Hiya. I'm Lyndis Sunderson.

Settling onto the sofa, Lyndis glanced at the work on the table and sighed quietly. There were plenty of questions to ask, but she wasn't sure where to start. "I guess the most troubling is math. Why do they make freshmen take geometry?" Shaking her head, she selected the right text book, flipping it open to the correct page before pointing to the first question. "Seriously, why do I need to know which angle is adjacent to the other?" Despite the complaint, Lyn selected a pencil and notebook, prepared to force herself to understand whatever Donny explained.

Donny smiled and laughed at her. Angles were super important in his book. "Well thing about this. What do we call 90 degrees left of north on a compass?" He told her as he wrote down the first problem. "You also need to know them for learning the area of a space. What if you needed to know for gardening?" The teen started to write out the problem step by step so Lyn could follow how to do. He need another just so she could understand the pattern. He paused for a moment. "I wasn't kidding about earlier." He told her as if remembering something.

Hiya. I'm Lyndis Sunderson.

As Donny explained the problem to her, she managed not to get too distracted. It helped that he referenced actual life situations, although she couldn't help but laugh a little at the idea of her gardening. She quieted, and leaned close enough to see what he was writing, trying to contemplate the problem and how it was being solved. The silence settled around her, and her eyes had begun to wander around the room until her thoughts were interrupted by Donny's words. "What?" she asked, assuming she had missed him explain som part of the problem, until she was able to replay what he had said in her head. "Oh..." She raised a brow, confused by the new idea he was presenting her with. "Everyone would date Vetty. She's part siren, after all." Her words were hushed as she tried to understand exactly what Donny meant. It was a tricky situation, even if they had all been friends practically since birth.

Lets Be Friends...

Donny let out a sigh. It was half frustrated an half giving up. He turned back to the math problem. Sometimes Lyn was a little dense, but that was one thing that he liked about her. Yvette was different. She was scheduled out and everything had a time and place. He liked Yvette as a friend, but was never interested about her beyond that. Besides she always took his cookies. "I meant about my sister." In a way Yvette and Lyn were like that, he just saw Lyn differently, so that's why he used the word sister. "I have another two that you don't know about. Ones really strong and bossy, but the other one is really sweet and cute. I've known them since I was little and their not blood related so I thought it would be fine to fall in love with the sweet one." He told her as he showed her the next problem.
Just don't touch my cookies.

Hiya. I'm Lyndis Sunderson.

Watching as he continued writing, Lyndis found it increasingly difficult to follow. While he was explaining math, he was also speaking of something else, and she was never one to pick up on hints easily. Deciding to abandon any more concerns of her homework for the time being, she listened to Donny's other topic with renewed curiousity. Two sisters since he was little...strong and bossy...sweet and cute. The only two girls that had been his friends for so long were herself and Yvette. Of course, Vetty fit the description of 'strong' and she could be 'bossy'...but what of Lyn? Perhaps she was sweet, but cute? No, cute was Yvette's area. Still, that would explain the look in his eyes at the spring, and the many other times she had noticed him looking at her. But, she just wasn't cute. "No. Stop it." she said quietly when he began another math problem. Switching back to homework would just confuse her more.

Snatching the pencil from his hand, she told him seriously, "You wanna' talk about...about us, then I need to ignore that." She pointed to the paper full of her homework before looking back up to Donny. "Otherwise I'll just get all confused." Sighing, she stood up, choosing to pace rather than sit still. "And you know how easily I get confused! Okay, I'm not Yvette. And I'm not my mom. And I'm not even like Cynthia, or my dad. This-" she paused, just long enough to face Donny as she said, "-Is very confusing! You're my friend, and feelings are just going to ruin that, right?"

Donny looked at his friend. She snatched his pencil away. It was almost as bad as when Yvette took his cookies. Donny was never good at confessions. He was like dad in that aspect. It was his mother who got knocked up with him and to the wizard they were getting married. "You're you, Lyn. That's all I can ask from from you. I don't want to be around your, really cool, dad or Cynthia, your mom, Yvette is special so she's different. I want to be around you." He knew what he was saying was going to get him into hot water. "Maybe it's just a bad idea, lets drop it." He added. He didn't want to talk about it anymore. It made him uncomfortable. He didn't like the idea that if they broke up then he would lose her.

When Donny spoke, she continued to pace, her thoughts jumbled as she considered the many results of her next actions. Ever since she could speak, Lyndis had been taught to think ahead, to "look before she leapt," but it was a difficult thing to do. Perhaps she was more like her mother than she thought, as they both had trouble looking into the future. "Oh no you don't! You can't start this conversation and expect it to be dropped." She had stopped pacing when Donny did, her response coming quickly as she realized that she wasn't done discussing things. If they ended the talk now, neither one would know what to do, and she wasn't risking any awkwardness between them. At least not when she felt this way. "I...I care about you. A lot." Facing Donny, she took a breath before returning to her seat beside him. There was a lot of problems for her to sort through; her hair was bland, her skin an odd color when compared to her parents, and she never really liked her canines, but here was one of her best friends, saying that he liked her. Reaching out for his hand, she managed a small smile before leaning close enough to kiss his cheek. "Okay...Okay?"

Donny could see himself digging his own grave. Why did he have to his own mouth. This was too much work for him and he was the type to like a challenge. He didn't know how to react to fights like this. His dad just did whatever his mom told him to do. His eyes popped wide. Did she just say she cared for him? It had to be like as a sister. It had to be. Even with the kiss on the cheek Donny didn't know what to think. "Yeah. You care for me like a sister." He responded as he reached out to grab the pencil back. He knew it. She didn't see him as anything more than a friend.

When Donny finally spoke again, she took a moment to simply stare at him before letting out a huff. How had the situation turned to this? "Boys." she murmured quietly, realizing that her mother had always been right when warning her about things like these. The only way for males to understand was to let them know, point blank, what you meant. "Donny, look at me." Waiting until he complied, she made eye contact with him first, bracing herself for what she intended to say. Yet, after a minute had passed, she was no closer to finding the words she needed, and instead did what she felt like doing. Leaning closer, she kissed him, completely unsure as to how it was supposed to be done, but knowing that this was her best guess at communicating. After a few seconds, she pulled back, smiling brightly as she asked, "Do you get what I'm saying now?"

Donny felt ashamed of himself. He didn't want to ruin their friendship. He thought as long as they talked everything out that when they did break-up they could still be friends. He didn't think they would a be a couple forever or anything like that. When Lyn told him to look at her he dropped his pencil and turned to to her. It took her to figure out what she was going to say. Donny was in no rush to push her.

What Lyn did do sent the young angel boy for a loop. Did she just? Donny couldn't move a muscle. It was like she zapped him of all his strength. His mouth hung open. He was probably frozen like that for a good ten to fifteen second before his face turned red. Donny never got embarrassed and he looked so red that he may have passed out. His nose was the next thing to give way as he recovered. A thin streak of blood come from it. "You just kissed me."

Hiya. I'm Lyndis Sunderson.

Sighing as Donny reacted to her actions, she let out another huff. "Yes, I did." She frowned, reaching forward to the box of tissues on the coffee table before offering it to him in silence. His embarrassment was only making her feel worse, as if he was surprised that she would even think to kiss another. Was he already regretting his words? Her mother had told her that emotions were fleeting, and that was why her father and mother had never married. "I think I'm done studying. It's been over an hour." She pointed out, her tone quiet as she added, "You should get back to Vetty. I...need to see my uncle about magic defense." Andrew would help, she knew, and he should still be in his classroom, grading papers. Her uncle always knew what to say.

Cherry Ki

Donny nodded. He guess he should go break them up. It seemed that she wanted some time to herself. Donny really couldn't understand women. They seemed to change their mind all the time. He was probably doomed to marry a girl like his mother who was dominate. Donny got and looked at Lyn. "I'll be back later so I can help you some more." He told her before spreading his white wings and jumping out the window. He would get there in now time.
