Personality: Kicking a** with an effervescent smile, to call her a fiery girl is the understatement of the year. She's a flame that burns hotter than the sun in the middle of July. Claire has bad temper to match her attitude and the fighting spirit and balls to back up her bad temper. Thanks to her upbringing her personality rivals that of the manliest of men but without the drawback of having a vulnerable set of testicles. She's cocky and arrogant, while she has a habit of mouthing off a lot she likes to let her fists do the talking instead. In spite of her childish person she exhibits afterglows of maturity and experience in serious or personal occurrences, exposing her truly spirited and benevolent nature. Being the bull-headed person that she is Claire doesn't know how or when to give up which, like a rooster staring at the raining sky with its mouth agape until it drowns, can be hazardous. However, her pride won't allow her to give up and her heart won't allow her to leave a comrade behind, she'd rather be a solo player, but still works well in a team. . .if she gets to lead.

Bio: Claire was brought up in a poverty stricken town just around the Deling Stations. Raised up solely by her father, an Ex-SeeD member, she was brought up in a rough and tough environment. Living conditions were harsh, given they'd been near the sewers it wasn't uncommon for monsters and other underworld creatures would rise to the surface and attack them. However, most of them were quite weak. Some were eaten, others were captured and used for underground bloodsports. In her town, violence and crime was normal, her father, while having had a strong sense of justice in his younger days did whatever was in his power to provide for Claire and himself. He taught her how to fight and how to hunt, to fend for herself and survive was more important than anything else. Claire was taught only to look out for herself in spite of the friends she had and may gain in the future as even they held little significance. For them friends were only as good as a human shield or giving up valuable information about you during a time of war.

Bloodsport between monsters and humans were common in there town, though highly outlawed. Within there town was an underground Fight Club which put man against man or man against beast for high amounts of Gil. As a youth, Claire often watched her father partake in these matches, a man with great tenacity that never once hid the truth from his daughter but instead exposed the world for what it really was. He killed a number of beasts that were captured and taken to this underground facility. Two on One. Three on One. It never mattered, the same had gone for their fellow man. Many were slain by his hand for the single purpose of providing for himself and his daughter, Claire had front row seats to all of the action. Over time it grew increasingly difficult to book matches for him given his popularity, many even ruled that him being an Ex-SeeD member had given him an unfair advantage. It was only a matter of time that he'd enter his daughter into these games. . .

At the age of ten, Claire had been the youngest fighter to join the underground scene and partake in the fights. Most were skeptical about her entering so she'd been underestimated due to her immaturity and small stature, however, they'd forgotten who's child she was. At this point the concept of death had been all but drilled into her brain, Claire was desensitized from seeing a mangled dead corpse in front of her. After her father's retirement she'd taken his place as the top fighter of the underground scene yet despite her inexperience her natural fighting prowess had been much more refined than the ruffians she faced thank to her father's secret teachings. Skilled in mixed martial arts, primarily in Muay Thai, Judo, and Boxing, there wasn't a single foe that could stand up to Claire. She used her small person and the weight of her opponent's against them which allowed her to feign having super human strength. Bite, punching, kicking, and clawing her way to the top Claire had made a killing in the underground fights. She grew to love the fame and the fights so much that she'd forgotten been fighting in her father's steed to provide for them. Her arrogance had nearly gotten her killed on more than one occasion, however, there had been on in particular that changed her life.

A part of her life that she keeps sheltered within a locked cage, deeply repressed within the confines of her mind yet that day remains as vivid as the road before her. It was her own arrogance had gotten her father killed whilst saving her life. Following immediately after this event the town's underground world was brought to light by the authorities and shut down. The founders and all participants were arrested and put on trial, including the now sixteen year old Claire who'd been too grief-stricken to flee from the authorities successfully. Trialed as an adult and sentence to life in prison for over a dozen counts of illegal gambling and manslaughter Claire was fated to live out the rest of her days rotting in a jail cell. A purposefully harsh sentence to show that even the young weren't above the law, Claire had been used as an example and her trial was widespread labeling her as a killer and the daughter of the defective SeeD member who'd gone AWOL after a botched mission.

Bail was set at 1,000,000 Gil. However, the bail itself served as a silver lining for Claire as an anonymous man had actually chose to bail her out a few months later. Much to her surprise it'd been an important man from the military who'd seen footage of her fights that'd been taken from evidence lockers. He'd been smitten by her fighting abilities and presented two paths before her: Spend the rest of her life in jail or enroll at the academy as a SeeD Cadet. With motives of her own she damned herself to the same fate as her father and enrolled as a cadet and was taken to Balamb Garden where, at this point, she'd become a household name in the news. To protect her identity and hide herself away from the public eye she grew out her hair, dressed a little more effeminate, and changed her name. She'd become a new person but she'd never forget her roots, lose her resolve, nor forget the reason why she'd chosen to enroll in the academy.

If it is a support spell, it can be drawn only from an ally and used on caster, or an ally. If the spell is elemental it imbues a combo finisher with the element, changing what the skill does for 5 turns. Cannot siphon a spell that is greater than your current rank.

*:I Burn:*
Costs 25% of current HP
Stays Active The Entire Battle Once Activated

_____Drawing out a portion of her latent potential, Claire will begun to release the natural restraints on the body and brain. This increases her overall physical prowess while imbuing her strikes and abilities with the status effect Burn. ALA is increased by 75% while her attacks and abilities deal POW + 35% Bonus Damage. Furthermore, striking an opponent with a blow or an ability causes them to Burn for 3% of their HP for three posts [Can be stacked up to 5 times].

*:Taking From The Rich:*

_____A sleight of hand strike that robs the opposition of their pockets and weakens their attacks by disarming them. Dealing POW +20% bonus damage in her attacks and increasing her ALA by +20%, Claire swiftly strike the enemy but strikes with an open palm. She'll target certain spots on their body, striking their muscles and joints, causing them to briefly tense and seize up, successfully disarming them and weakening their POW by 5%. Her open palms allow her to snatch and toss their weapons away but also, by aiming at more secured spots, Claire is able to steal away Gil & items from the opponent based on luck. During a strike 2 numbers between 1-15 are generated. The first number generated is the percent of current Gil she steals from the enemy while the second represents her chance to steal an item. The chosen item must be made known [either IC or OoC in that post]. If that number is 5, 10, or 15 then Claire is successful, if not then she fails in stealing the designated item.

Limit Break: --Rolling Thunder--
3 Post CD
10% of current HP

_____With a sudden burst of speed, a blurred Claire will dash towards her opponent to deliver a mighty combo finisher in the form of flurrying blows. While ducking and swaying from side to side she'll deliver nine consecutive blows [POW x2 per blow] to the face while the tenth [POW x5] delivers a devastating uppercut to the chin that launches the opposition into the air, making them susceptible to an aerial assault by another.

WOW. Look at that massive damage. Problem I see here though is that with one shot you can wipe out any character in your current level, for little cost. I believe you should either lower the damage, or majorly increase the cost and cool down, or even make it only able to be used once per battle. Doing the math, with just Dempsey Roll your character would be doing:

Quote:
[5x3]nine times = 135
last strike is[5x10]= 50
135+50=185
And that's without factoring in :I Burn:

Talk about a heavy hitter xD

The problem with this part right here is that we are using the number generator for getting Gil. So we can't use it for saving throws. If you want to still use this mechanic, you would have to give up your gil roll for the turn that you use this skill with.

Still seems a tad bit too powerful. It would make a wonderful limit break honestly. So you have two choices, nerf the damage again, making your 9 hits deal (POW) and the 10th deal (POW)x3. And cannot be combined with I Burn!

Or you can keep the damage it has now and save it for when we release limit breaks. And choose a different special skill.

My only current suggestion is that every character has to have some kind of fear. It can be something very literal (like spiders or dogs) or more esoteric (rejection, abandonment, etc.) You could even go with a really off-the-wall fear like needles or dentists. It just has to be something.

I'm saving Dempsey Roll for a limit break and just renamed it. With Taking From The Rich the turn it's used I could just generate 3 numbers. lol.

First for the gill, which would be at a decreased amount for that turn [since I can't generate separate numbers]. Second is the stolen gil, the third is the item steal chance. Could that work?

Taking from the rich is fine if done like this. But I did test it and the RNG does not let you roll more than one number at a time(Like you said). The dice does. But if you decide on dice rolling for this turn, you can only use a d20. You can't roll the 1d100 because the code is FUBAR'd. If you still want the move to do this, fine. But because you would have to roll the d20 you would be taking a serious detriment to your income when you use that special attack. Keep this in mind if you decide you really want to keep this mechanic.

In regards to Dempsey roll, I see you moved it to your limit break and changed the name. Just a reminder that LB's are unavailable at this rank so I put a strike through it, so there isn't any confusion. I can't wait to see what you will put for your third ability. smile
