Welcome folks. It's been about 2 years now since we last hired anyone through a proper event, and while I thought we'd get by okay...it turns out that's not the case. We're short staffed and a lot of us are busy or only have certain strengths. So I'd like to get some new blood back into the shop to help with events, customs, breedings, etc.

What are we looking for? Colorists/breeders Flatsale/Event/Unedited colorists Familiar colorists
Basic Rules 1. Don't steal the art/templates. 2. Be friendly, don't discourage anyone or put them down. 3. Respect the rules of the shop. 4. Respect any current staff and owners. 5. Be aware of the requirements of the position you are applying for. 6. Be able to work with layers and have some version of photoshop. No MS paint applicants will be hired (unless you make it work, I've seen some amazing things from MS paint...)

Before you apply, you should take a couple things into consideration. The shop is seeking dedicated workers, people with the time, talent and willingness to work for a fairly popular B/C shop. You are expected to get your work done, hang around, be friendly and courteous, be fair and understanding and not abandon your work. You are expected to be able to finish everything in a timely manner and if you need to take a personal hiatus for any reason you need to alert Mameha asap.
It's a lot to take on and think about, but would you rather work for a shop and watch it fail because staff can't keep up, or work for a thriving shop because staff is active and willing?
All staff get the following perks - 100% of ALL profits. - Staff credits to use and buy customs/breedings/freebies with. - One noodle to color for themselves.
Requirements for ALL colorists include - Color the lines - Color the shading - Clean up your work (no sketchy lineart/sloppy coloring on the final product) - No removing the collar/chopstick (you can do slight edits to them or move them around slightly, but they NEED to be there and remain mostly the same)
Main Colorists If you are seeking to become one of the main colorists, there are a few things you must be able to do. - Color creatively. - Work well with breedings. - Edits, edits, edits. - Participate in events. - Reliability. We will be hiring a good handful of full-time colorists of this position so long as we have the applicants for it.
Flatsale/Event/Unedit Colorists If you are seeking a spot as a flatsale/event or unedit colorist, there are only a few things to worry about. - Color creatively. - No edits. (You may practice, but anything you do edit wise will be approved by Mameha) - Reliability. We will be hiring a couple good full-time colorists of this position depending on applicants. People in this position do have the ability to be promoted up when Mameha deems they'll suit the position well.
Familiar Colorists If you are seeking a spot as a familiar colorist, you need only worry about these things. - Coloring creativity. - Coloring by set patterns (based off pre-made noodles). - Edits or no edits (optional stat but appreciated). - Reliability. We will be hiring a good handful of full-time colorists of this position based on applicants.

I would like to see at least three colored samples on our provided lineart. If you can do edits, I would like to see an extra three samples with edits on them. You can obviously post more samples of either of these if you'd like. For those of you applying to a main colorist position, please use the breeding section of the application process and provide us with samples of children for a random couple we throw at you.
Do not make plans for the noodles you color as samples. I might like to use them for prizes and the rest in a free raffle or a flatsale in the shop. You may choose to keep one or color a new one if you are hired though.
Noodles for breeding purposes Note: None of these are official couples, mates or flings. They were all randomly chosen for hiring purposes only. Any children produced because of hiring may or may not be used in flatsales or raffles or just may be ignored completely and never used for a single thing. Who knows?

We are having an advertising contest to get word out about how TLN is hiring. If you, your friends/family, anyone want to help advertise there will be many prizes to win in the end.
To qualify for points in the ad contest, you need to place a hiring banner in your signature for the entirety of the hiring event. If you remove it for a day, you don't get points for that day. Same goes if you forget to come record your points for the day. You will get one point for every day you have the banner in your sig and 5 points for every person that applies and mentions that they did so because of your banner/signature.
First Prize is a custom of their choosing. The only rules are that it cannot be a God/dess, Elder or Cosplay/Transformer/Spartan/Elite. Other than that, it can be an OC, have edits, etc.
The rest of you with points will be placed in a raffle with a few pets that were colored and used in the hiring applications.
You may use one of the following banners to advertise with. Record all your points in The Point Thread.

I would like to work for The Lucky Noodle because I really like the artwork and I would like to practice and improve my coloring/editing skills. TLN was the whole reason I picked up a tablet and pen. I hated coloring digitally, I was a good ol pencil and paper kinda person. However I got really into the shop back when it like first opened and I loved how amazing everyone here could color. So I decided I was gonna learn to color on the computer and work here one day. Like 5 years later and here we are, I feel I have grown by leaps and bounds but that I could still learn a lot by working with the talented colorist here. I'm often blown out of the water by how amazing the colorist are here and I want a chance to work with and learn from you guys. I never want to see this shop go under again, it's my home base man, it's where I have met some of my very best friends to this day. I have invested so much in this shop, time, energy, tears, effort and it really means a lot to me. Silly, yes probably, but I really love this place. I feel I can pretty well handle the responsibility, you aren't asking a whole lot from me honestly. It's nothing compared to owning a shop, I will admit I floundered under that responsibility, (am still floundering honestly.) however it's much easier to be a colorist. XD

Why do you want to work for TLN? Do you feel you can handle the responsibility? TLN has become a sort of home for me since I really got into gaia, which coincidentally was around the same time TLN reopened a couple years ago. It’s really helped integrate me into the b/c life, and I’d really love to get more involved in the community and not be such a shy bug. I think this position could really help me open up and come into thread more often instead of just shying away from it. I’d also love to help get some more activity going and bring some more life back into it. I could handle the responsibility with ease, considering I have so much time on my hands. I’m also not a colorist for EASY, I’m the keeper of the lists over there, so there wouldn’t be any major issues of dividing my time. <3

Why do you want to work for TLN? Do you feel you can handle the responsibility? I’ve always loved this shop. The concept is original, the atmosphere is positive and full of life, and the staff members are ever-helpful! I just want to help out in any way that I can. I enjoy coloring and creating characters, and would be able to edit things on occasion. However, I’m still nowhere near the skill level of the Main colorists and wouldn’t want to burden people with a Noodle that wasn’t edited well. Hence, I would want to be an Unedit/Event/Flatsale Noodle colorist while I’m still improving!
