Destiny City’s Fourth of July Beach Bonfire Party
Brought to you by Ketel One. Drink irresponsibly. Rumors have been swirling about what extravaganza Destiny City will hold for its fourth of July celebrations since January. The city always puts on a fabulous fireworks show for all residents, and popular demand has been pushing for a beach party for years. And alas, that wish has come true with the Destiny City’s 2013 Fourth of July Beach Bonfire Party! The beach has various locations set up to hang out in, with different crowds and scenes going on in each. They are all fairly close to each other, so it is easy to hop around from place to place in a matter of minutes. Right on the beach, the centerpiece of the evening is the Bonfire. A local DJ employed by the city is keeping the music playing loud enough to hear around the beach, and provides just the right vibe for a relaxing beach party around the bonfire. You can dance around the fire or just socialize its in warmth! There’s even marshmallows and other food to roast! Not far from the bonfire is the Tiki Bar, but the scene here is mostly for residents of the ages 21 and over – but that doesn’t mean a few minors can’t sneak in (but bring a fake ID, you’ll need it!). The bar has excellent service with high-end liquors for low prices, thanks to some excellent sponsorship deals for the evening. Just a little further down on the beach is the shore, and although there is a lifeguard on duty, it is late in the evening with plenty of drinking going on! It has been advised to not go in the water, but the waters should be safe to anyone sober and careful. Finally, there’s the scene of arrival – the parking lot, which has become a bit of a tailgate kegger party. A younger, teenaged party is going wild in the parking lot with kegs and more booze served in the back of pick-up trucks. There’s music from the radio blasting from one of the cars, making it a great place to party away from the beach – or just a place to grab a drink before heading down. Parents of young children under the age of fourteen are advised to leave their children at home – this isn’t a place for young children! Everything is lined up to be a great night in Destiny City – a night where absolutely no powered activity would be tolerated! Quote: This ORP will remain open for three weeks, with each week covering a span of a few hours of the evening of July 4th. This is to keep the ORP moving along autonomously, and so that everyone has a sense of the current time in the RP and when the RP is heading towards a wrap. The breakdown is as follows: June 24 – June 30: 7PM – 9PM on July 4th July 1 – July 7: 9PM – 11PM on July 4th – FIREWORKS! July 8 – July 14: 11PM – 2AM on July 4th You may continue RPing past July 14th, but it is advised to wrap up interactions and branch out into private threads at that time. Again, it is unadvised to bring chibi-aged characters to this teen and adult party, and no powering up should occur throughout the event. Happy partying!

Pulling the underwear out of her bum and the cork out of her wine bottle Venice couldn't have been more happy right now. Here she was at the beginning of the biggest beach party event of Destiny City's summer months and the beat had only just begun. Swigging down a gulp of the purple stuff Venice finished the bottle she had been nursing as her pre-party tipple and threw it towards a bin, its contests smashing nicely against what was already in there. Scanning the beach she couldn't pinpoint anyone she knew although the crowds were getting larger she knew there would be somebody soon to help relieve the boredom and started making her way towards the tiki bar, her voice screaming at the top of lungs to the tune that flowed over the radio waves.
"We've come too farrrrrrr
To give up who we areeeeeeeeeee
So let's raise the bar
And our CUPS TO THE STARSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!"

"She's up all night to til the sun," Porsha answered, grinning at the older woman as she came around to join her. "I'm up all night to get some. She's up all night for good fun, We're up all night to get lucky!" And of course the teen couldn't resist a rolling her hips, dancing to the music even as she moved along with a drink in her hand. No, she was not 21, but she had one hell of a fine fake I.D. When she reached the other woman she slung an arm around her curvalicious waist, leaning against her . "What's up, Roller Mama?"

Without an ID or much desire to drink, Orah had ended up at the bonfire on the beach, watching the sun go down over the water. It had taken some creative thinking to get her father to let her come alone to the party, but he didn't need to know that she hadn't gone with a bunch of friends. There were a lot of things her father didn't need to know about his daughter's life when she wasn't at home or in school and this was pretty tame in comparison to those... which was why she hadn't felt as bad about lying to him. Still, it wouldn't be so much of a lie if she managed to actually meet up with some friends here... she just hadn't made any plans to go with any.
Cradling a sprite in her hands and swaying to the music in her frilled skirt and tied off top, the teen enjoyed the warmth the fire threw off and the laughter she heard from the crowds around her. She might not stay for very long if no one she knew showed up, but for now she just happy to be part of the party atmosphere. Even super heroes deserved a night off once in a while.

Venice laughed as the purple headed teenager strode up to her, her eyes catching the glass spark of the beer in her hand and nodded in approval. Porsha was every little bit a Venice in the making, loud, brass and prepared to have fun no matter the cost, Venice could almost see them sharing a hospital bed at the end of this weekend due to the alcohol poisoning. She made a mental note to keep her safe and responded by placing her own arm around Porsha shoulder and giving a squeeze.
“Ha, am doing fine gorgeous! And how is your skinny a** doing? Still terrible at singing I see, unlike me of course. I am FAN-TAS-TIC! I mean did you hear those notes I didn’t hit? That is skill my friend, pure skill!”
She pulled her along towards the bar knowing if there were any eagle eyed staff that whatever Porsha couldn’t get herself Venice was more than happy to buy for her. Not that she encouraged this sort of behaviour out on the rink…well unless it was a friendly match.
“You meeting anyone here or do I get to have you all to myself hmm?” Venice was creepy when slightly sober….

"My skinny a** is doing dandy, thanks." She smirked. "And I dunno about fantastic, but singing like you does require a certain amount of skill, that is for sure." She snorted, poking Venice in the side before she was being steered towards teh bar by the other woman. She still had her beer, but she wasn't the sort of girl that would say no to another drink. That was just silly. The question had the teen shrugging. "Nothing concrete, but I'm sure I'll see some familiar faces while I'm here, but I'm all yours for now, hot stuff." Porsha was partially immune to creepy, so it all worked out. There were a couple of boys she was hoping to run into, but for one this really wasn't his usual scene. She wasn't going to be too disappointed if he didn't show. The other? Well, she had in on good authority that Dustin liked a good music, a good party, and good company.

Stepping away from the bar, Elijah King flipped his ID artfully between his fingers before tucking it into the pocket of his swim trunks next to his cash and phone. Thank god for being 21! No worries, no hassles... just lovely booze and lovely ladies at a lovely party on the beach. What more could a free spirited young male want?
Beer in hand, he offered some cute girls a dazzling smile and a wink before he took a drink, wandering away from the bar towards the DJ. The bells in his braids jingled softly as he walked, the mass of his blue hair gathered up low behind his head to keep it out of the way. He didn't need to get beaned by one of the bells if he decided to do something crazy, after all... and with an audience like this, he was probably not going to be able to resist for long.
Eli loved summer... summer was always full of parties and friends, visits to the beach and the carnival... girls in skimpy clothing... cold drinks on hot days. It suited his mood just perfectly. All too soon it would be winter again, but he firmly planned to enjoy himself while the warm weather lasted.

Castille had heard about the beach party, and immediately decided that she needed to go. If anything, there were great pictures to be found! So she donned her pink and green striped bathing suit and jean shorts and drove her way down to the beach. As she pulled in the parking lot, a giant party beachside greeted her. She got out of her car, throwing her towel over her shoulder and her camera bag on her hip before wandering over to the party. There was alcohol galore, and Castille waved away a beer offered to her before making her way to the beach. THAT was where her pictures were!
She laid out the towel near the bonfire and then pulled out her camera, taking snapshots of the ocean.Amarilla arrived to the beach, slamming her car door and adjusting her bag to a more comfortable position. Her pink hair was tied in it's typical style, with orange ribbons instead of her typical blue. Her sundress was pale orange and she had orange sandals to match. She brushed the hair out of her face, and, taking a deep breath, made her way to the beach. It was time to get her fun on!
The first place she stopped was the bar, and she stared at the beach themed menu dumbly. Despite being old enough to drink, she hadn't really taken advantage of the opportunity, and thus was severely lacking in her knowledge of alcohol. The bartender looked at her with amusement, then went back to the customers that knew what they were doing. Amarilla started to feel a bit nervous.((If anyone wasn't interact with these two, please quote me. smile ))

"I ******** hate that song," Quinn muttered under her breath when she walked up to the Tiki Bar with Veer and heard the two girls singing. Her fingers were entwined with his which was weird for someone who wasn't entirely big on public displays of affection, but she figured she should probably at least try and do the whole normal-person-girlfriend-thing. She recognized Venice from Kess' birthday as she glanced her over while she sang, but beyond that she didn't know who anyone else was just yet at this shindig. "Drink?" She glanced up at Veer after ordering a mixed drink for herself because well... Why the hell not? It wasn't often she got to enjoy a night out so she was going to take full advantage of her fake ID (or well, real ID for Quinn Bennett, fake for Kathryn Callaghan who was only technically 19) and the holiday. She grinned before taking a giant gulp of her drink, then going up on her tip-toes and planting a big ol' kiss on his lips. Her motto for the long weekend? Just ******** do it. Because why not? To everything. Everything ever.

Micah wasn't necessarily looking for old friends. It just so happened that she bumped into one form before she left from time to time. Like now. Micah had just arrived, shrugging off the white button up blouse in favor of just strutting around in her purple bikini top and green cargo shorts. It was too hot for layers anyway. She had just settled on heading over to the bonfire – mostly in hopes of someone breaking out marshmallows for her to mooch off – when she saw the orange buns over the crowd. After .02 seconds of watching, Micah knew exactly who she was looking at. Beaming, she bounced over, wiggling her bare toes in the sand with each step. “Afghanistan or Iraq,” she muttered into Castille’s ear once she was close enough, hoping to god she understood what she was talking about. It would be hard to explain herself should Castille not understand. No, I'm not being insensitive, I only meant to greet you with a quote from a british crime drama featuring a dark haired beauty with devastating cheek bones. That should go down well. Don't let me down, Castille.

In contrast, Veer's ID was entirely legal: his twenty-first birthday come and gone in some shithole in the middle of nowhere, without a proper celebration. It was the same ID as he'd always had, only his birth year changing; he should get a new license he thought, as he watched the bartender inspecting it, but hadn't yet bothered. He hadn't bothered with much. He was working on it. Beer in hand, his own eyes flashing to the crowd around them, Veer was ever worse off. He didn't see anyone he knew, no, but that made sense, since at this point there were about four people in his entire social circle -- The thought was cut off by a kiss, and Veer hummed against Quinn's mouth, deciding that didn't really matter that much. "Let's find the music and ******** around a little bit. Maybe we can get something better on."

Castille jumped, almost dropping her camera. Her whole body shivered, and she looked over her shoulder to figure out just who has scared the bajeezus out of her. She was happy to see that it was Micah, and she placed her camera carefully on the towel before rising to give the girl a hug.
"Oh my gosh Micah! You scared me so bad!" she said through laughter, happy to have someone at the party to talk to. It was starting to get a little lonely.
"I didn't know you were gonna be here! Awesome!" she further gushed, releasing the other girl from her hug.

Alexandre didn't know what had led him to deciding to go to this beach party; normally such things weren't to his taste. Perhaps it was the need to spend some time with Lily, since she'd moved out the time spent together was so little, it was sad how far they seemed to be drifting. And lately he'd been feeling it keenly and it hurt, like a dull ache in his chest, and that needed to be fixed.
The beach party had been talked about all about the city in the previous weeks and the idea had slowly sunk in; slowly become a way to help the situation. He'd finally broken down three days ago and told Lily he was taking her out - they needed to spend time together. He may have forgotten to mention just where they were going; or maybe not. Alexandre also may have done a bit of shopping for Lily; since she didn't know where they were going or the needed clothing. He just hoped Lily liked what he'd picked up for her, and didn't mind the surprise, he'd gone with what he thought she might like.
So when he pulled into the parking lot, noting the party which seemed to be going on in the parking lot, he turned to Lily and flashed her something of a sheepish smile. "Surprise? I thought we could spend some time together and watch the fireworks." He said while he unbuckled his belt and twisted, and turned, in his seat so he could reach the tote bag he had in the back seat. Inside the tote was the clothing he'd bought for her, minus the tags from the stores. "I do hope you like the clothing." And he was sure there was a ladies room nearby where Lily could change, and either tell him she liked the clothing or she hated it, he was hoping she liked it.
Tote in her lap he got out of the suv and stood watching her; waiting to see her reaction.

Lily had noticed the distinct lack of her best friends since she moved out, but with so much going on in her life and having a boyfriend who also currently lived with her for the summer until college was in session again, she'd not felt it as keenly. Still when Alex had caved and told her he was taking her out, she'd eagerly excepted, because she did in fact miss her best friend, her brother and wouldn't even turn down spending time with him.
When they made it to the beach parking lot she was definitely surprised. There was music and dancing and people just living it up. She gave Alex a really surprised look and grinned, "This is amazing Tink," she said using a name that probably hadn't been heard for a long time. she unbuckled her belt, but frowned realizing she wasn't very beach ready or at least she didn't want to ruin her lace shorts on the beach.
She wasn't frowning for long though as she was handing a bag that had clothing in it for her and she literally lit up, getting out of the car, bag in hand and running around to give Alex a huge hug. "You are the best, really you are."
She released him, "I'm going to go change," she said before running of and disappearing into the bathroom to change. When she came back out she quickly made her way over to Alex grinning happily. "It's perfect! I love it," she said twirly lightly before laughing, "So now what?"

Trevor pulled up in the parking lot spotting a space he climbed out and shut the door. A beach party was something he wouldn't mind going to it was a good way to start up some summer fun. He looked around and noticed that the party was in full swing and if it wasn't to come drink it was usually to enjoy the bonfire and wait around for the fireworks to shoot off. He lightly blew out a breath. He was wearing a pair of swim trunks, and if anything a white sleeveless shirt with his sunglasses on his head and his flip flops on. He wandered down towards the shore and sat down in the sand hearing the soft lapping of the ocean waves watching the sunset.
He figured that spending time inside during summer was not the greatest idea, he loved the outdoors and it gave him an oppurtunity to soak in some sun to at least show that the summer sun had done him some good. He hummed quietly to himself and wondered what he would do for the summer. He was staying at Lily's place for the summer at least up until college started up and what better way to enjoy summer to the fullest by going to the beach as much as he can.
