 Caterpie's Forest Beginner Rank, Levels 1 - 10 Home to Bug and Grass Types Just east of Armonia lies a small but flourishing forest. In the sun, it glimmers with colors; red, yellow, blue, and multitudes of green. Though it's labeled as a dungeon, if only for the mysterious moss covered stairs that appear to lead explorers deeper into sun-flooded groves, most Armonians don't think of Caterpie's Forest as particularly dangerous. Guild leaders send their new recruits here for practice. While most of the wild Pokemon who have taken up residence in the forest are peaceful, the Bug types can be quite territorial... 1. Empty 2. Cheri Berry 3. Stick 4. Caterpie 5. Empty 6. Oren Berry 7. Combee 8. Nincada 9. Weedle 10. Butterfree (+20 EXP Win or Lose)

Flicker trudged into the forest and glanced around the first room. He wondered what he would find and what he could possibly scare along the way. Oh this should be fun!

Already, a foe! Flicker grinned as he crept up as silent as a candle could and flared up his flames to attempt to scar off the unsuspecting pokemon.

Bwahahaha! The Nincada screamed at the sight of the monstrous shadow and fled deep into the forest. On tot he next room!

Flicker continued along till he felt something under his feet. Looking down, he saw an Oran berry and scooped it up before making his way to the next room.

Gasp, a Butterfree! Flicker halted a moment before readying his flame. Could he scare off this one too? Or even take it down if he needed? He held his breath and readied himself to try.

No such luck! The butterfree turned just in time to twart the litwicks plans and gave him a right good womp before fleeing.
Picking himself up Flicker dusted himself off and went on to the next floor grumbling. Perhaps his shadows weren't big enough that time.

At his feet was another Oran berry! This room wasn't so bad, and after that last smack, Flicker had welcomed the brief pause in action. On to the next floor!

Ahck, a caterpie! Is this that butterfree's kid? Flicker snickered. If it was, he was gonna exact some revenge on it. Flames go, this time make the monster even bigger and scarier!

But the caterpie didn't even look before moving on to munch on the next leaf! Ahrg! Flicker grunted as he picked up his pride and shuffled on to the next room. Stupid bugs!

Annnd this room was empty. Completely. SO lame! This was not turning out to be the kind of awesome trip through the forest that he wanted.. maybe next time he should do it at night...

As Flicker proceeded thru the next room, he heard something snap beneath him. Taking a step back he looked down to find a stick. Picking it up he inspected it before using his stubby arms to brandish it like a sword. He grinned at himself and made comical shadows on the floor before pushing onward.

Still not even a flinch! This time he even got sprayed with string! Man these cateripes were ruthless! Flicker frowned and pouted and dragged his stick on to the next room muttering under his breath.

Walk into the next room and bump right into a Combee! Eek! Flicker brandished his stick and prepared for an attack. Maybe a nice ember would do the trick.
