 Exiting the nesting area, Amaltheia let out a yawn. Eyes glued together by the long hours of sleep she had managed to catch up on since the triffids had lost their energy when hers had depleted. It seemed to be the only way to silence them from their wailing hunger. When they were too tired to screech any longer. Peeling her crusted eyes open, she cast her bleary gaze around the grounds spying the herd members that were lurking nearby. She wondered where her mother was, or her sisters for that matter knowing that her father would be out on patrol. Pulling her numb limbs across the ground she headed in the usual direction she could find her sisters in, feeling it was time she got some help closer to home with her issue rather than trying to solve everything independently.

 Standing beneath the eaves of the forest, a ways from the nesting area, Ithillún watched her sister rise from the nest. She'd been waiting for the mare to wake for a long time - as it seemed that Ama was exhausted lately, Lún had been prepared to wait all day to spring her ideas on her earth-toned sister. This proved unnecessary, however - she was up now, albeit a bit sleepy looking. Trotting cheerfully over to meet her sister, Lún eyed the carnivorous plants on Ama's body warily. It wasn't that she was scared of them; Lún had just been noticing more and more lately how much they affected Ama's sleeping patterns. She was sure she didn't know the half of it - but she thought she might have a solution.
"Ama, c'mon, we're going on a field trip today," Lún said, grinning widely at her half-awake sister and gesturing toward the forest with a nod of her head. The bluish mare had a lot planned for their day; having already gotten permission from their mother to go into the forest (not necessary, but it kept their parents from worrying), Lún was ready for a day of insect-hunting and force-feeding Ama's triffids to see what would happen. Not that Amaltheia knew that yet, but Lún was oddly excited. She wanted her sister to be healthy and happy, as it sadly seemed that she hadn't been for a while. Though she wasn't sure when the plants had awoken, Lún hoped that it was a recent development - if her sister had been suffering for a long time without familial help, she'd feel terrible.

Amaltheia was unaware that her presence was being sought on this particular day and it brought her immediate surprise when one of her closest sisters came trotting straight up to her, full of joy and delight. She tried to place all of her focus on the other twisted siblings figure to help her eyes come around from the sleep. Lifting her ears to take in the enthusiasm in her voice.
Processing everything proved troublesome but once she got her head around the situation and the fact she was spending the day with Lun today, who had plans for the two of them, she broke a smile whilst looking at her sister. "We are?" She asks, blinking her eyes a couple of startled times. "What brought this on all of a sudden?" She chuckled some and switched her gaze around the plain to see if she could spy other members of their family.
Not like she wasn't glad of the announcement or that she didn't want to, it was just unexpected but she was more than happy to spend the day with her. They hadn't had much quality time together since they had been officially deemed adults and she guessed it was because they were trying to get the feel of who they were going to be and what path they would take in life. Ama's destiny had been known rather quickly but today would be the day she would enquire more about her sisters ideals and desires.
Turning her eyes back on to Lun she decides to delve a bit deeper in to this field trip to see if she is willing to part with any details that might give her a clue to where they were heading. "So this field trip..." She grins back. "What could we possibly be in store for, today?"
