Loren had flown for days, perhaps weeks? He hardly noticed the time pass, the tinted tips of his wings brushing the clouds as he searched the sprawling land below him, the Kawani lands, his final destination. From where he dwelled and trained, he had heard dark and disturbing rumors of a new strain of evil corrupting these far away lands, purewalkers. The idea of these beasts roaming freely in what he knew was a mostly peaceful land was blood curdling, as an Angeni he was just, kind ( if not a bit stern) and forgiving, but these, these he could NOT forgive, not ever.
He stretched his wings wide, catching the air currents to soar in a circle that would eventually spire slowly downwards, making it easy for his heavy framed body to land. With a snap of his wings and digging in his hooves he landed cleanly and with good form, his armor clinked together in protest as he shook himself of dust and cloud dew to survey where he had touched down.
The land was indeed beautiful, the air was warm and the smell of orange blossoms perfumed the air, his nostrils flared, taking in the scents of the area, this was a nice place. Too bad there were veins of evil corrupting it. What rumors of darkness came to him, they also came with rumors of hope, brave mares and stallions of all shapes, sizes and types rallying against this new evil. It gave him home, enough so that he had made the journey from his place in the havens to come here, to find such brave souls and to train them, so they would have a fighting chance here, to take back their lands. He huffed and pinning his wings neatly to his sides he started walking, taking his first steps on the soil of this new place. Flying would have been faster, sure, but walking along the ground he would spill blood to protect, he felt grounded, whole, filled with purpose.
He imagined just by traveling by hoof he would learn the ways of the folk here, and where friend and foe alike dwelled in this vast land. He stopped for a moment at a small bubbling spring and drank his fill, finding that he was very VERY thirsty indeed! The journey may have taken more out of him than he realized, and with that, he went off in search of sustenance, a knight did not need much, but food was food.
"First thing's first" He muttered to himself, having dug up a crunchy tuber of some kind and some late apples to break his fast. " I have to get set up somewhere, what's a Lord without his keep after all? A teacher without students? HMF, So much work to be done..Ah well, no use griping, i'm turning into an old sod aren't I? Tch...." Finishing the last of the apples he turned and rode off, planning on making good time before the sun set.
And so, Lord Loren, Knight of the Blue Rose. Angeni of Knighthood, found his way to the Kawani.
