Training and work had been long and arduous. Day in and day out Branek was in the hustle and bustle of the city, hardly able to even be home, only to sleep and have dinner and on occasion breakfast. It wasn't his ideal situation, but it's what kept food in his belly, and kept him on course to his goal. His ritual never wavered, or deterred, for distractions didn't often come to him... for nothing was interesting enough to grasp the rebellious man's attention. Those in town he had no desire to know on a personal level. They were all the same... Hardly ever would he pause to even speak with anyone, unless they approach him first... and in which he would give short answers to keep the possibility of futher conversation slim. Making friends or relations of any matter weren't on his agenda.

He was a dilligent man, a hard worker, and unlike his previous life in school, he was quite attentive with his training to become a Cerberus Knight. It could easily be called a miracle that Branek even kept such devotion towards the path he'd chosen, from how irresponsible and immature he'd been in his younger days. But his mind was focused, to a point, for he knew what he wanted in life... at least a part of it.

Today was a day of rest though. No work, and no training... at least none that was required. The day was beautiful, sunny and at a pleasing temperature that neither caused you to sweat, nor shiver. A gentle breeze would tumble by and provide a cool sensation for those who might have been standing under the Sun's rays for a little too long. The townsfolk of Claus Arbor were doing their daily ritual's, all of them busy with the work that came with living out in the coutryside. Having woken up early, Branek had a hardy breakfast, and packed a backpack with essentials for spending the day outside for its entirety. He enjoyed this place... the trainquility, and the lack of noise that usually came with being in a massive population of people all crammed into a cramped location. No this was far different... The people here were more respectful, and didn't always hound him, or give him displeased expressions simply because he was anti-social. They seemed accepting of his reclusive nature. And everyday on his day off, when he'd take that walk through the busy town, he'd still gain a few head nods or smiles from the folks there... to which sometimes he'd even return with a very subtle nod of his own.

His destination was the dense forest, and mountains of the land. It was a perfect area for training, and practicing on honing his abilities. Having an affinity for earth based magic, it was a perfect practicing ground for him. The hike was mildly long, with small paths that were made from those who had walked here many times before... but he would veer from those to go deeper into the woods, further from civilization... Where all he could hear were the birds, and bugs, the sway of tree's, and their creaking branches. The rustle of leaves, and soft steps of creatures on the ground. The crunch under his boots stoppd when he did, brown eyes gazing up to the canopy's that covered him from the sun. Slowly he looked around him, admiring the solitude he'd found, while slipping off his backpack to set beside a tree. His head tipped side to side to crack, and loosen up, his shoulders shrugging, and arms bending, followed by his hands joining to adjust his gloves, the usually solemn features showing the most faint hint of softness

Aram sat quietly in the clearing, the gentle rustling of leaves in the trees above soothing and lulling him into a relaxed state. Here he could envelope himself completely in the atmosphere of the forest and remain undisturbed in his research. He scrawled quick notes into the margins of the book he held in his lap, his glance shifting between the patch of specimen in his study and the likeness of it to which he'd sketched onto the page of the book.

He was completely lost to the wonder of the particular blossom he'd found. He had yet to come this far, so this particular flower was one of mystery for him. Despite having read so little on it, the specimen was easy enough to identify by the colouration of it's elongated pistil. The uses of such a plant was generally unknown at present, but that was exactly why he was so enthused about having finally found flora of such nature.

It grew amongst other blossoms, none of which were of any visible relation to it's genus. It's circumstance of growth was peculiar, but this specimen was thriving in it's parasitic nature thanks to the environment and circumstance of it's growth.

He let the book slip from his lap as he leaned forward, one hand keeping his page while the other reached to gently grasp the petals of one of the host flowers. He admired the strange discolouration and smiled lightly to himself.

With his muscles loosened up, and ready to go, Branek casually strolled along the thickly carpeted floor, eyes shifting about at the various stirs of vegetation around him, or to follow swooping birds from above. There was even a few small critters scurrying about the ground collecting seeds, nuts, and berries, along with other foods that this bountiful ecosystem provided for its patrons. It even caused him to take a peek at the various bushes that were littered about to see what berries they were bearing. Most were full with bright coloured ones, as well as a few darker tones.

Pushing further through, he didn't venture too far from his pack, only going so far as to where he could just see it if he squinted his eyes. That was just fine with him. With a few more rolls to his shoulders, the witch finally paused just before a spot that had large boulders in his way. They were massive, standing at least 5 times higher than himself, all clumped together as if they'd been dropped there. Stretching out an arm, palm facing forward and fingers flared, his eyes honed in on them. It was an instant in which they began to lift, groaning, and bumping loudly against one another in deep, low tones. When they were barely all hovering, the earth beneath them flattened severely, he thrust up his arm to make them imitate the same motion, though slightly delayed in speed due to their size. But they were up, in the air. A second arm stretched forward to mirror the second, before they both parted to either side of him, pulling the cluster of boulders away, and setting them down with a heavy thud.

The ground shook with a mild earthquake like effect, and a few birds fluttered off briskly, but other than that things went back to being still, and peaceful. Branek didn't end there though, an arm thrusting forward to make the now barren ground in front of him begin to tear up from the ground itself! it was like cloth ripping, and it traveled fast down the path in front of him, and further than where he could see.... right before the spiritus that was investigating the darling flora further on.

Just before Aram, where he was quite enthralled with the discovery he made, the very ground went right up into the air leaving nothing but soil beneath, and a large ribbon of uprooted ground trailing back to the witch practicing... who then 'cracked' the strip to let it ripple all the way back down to the poor gent at the other side, making dirt fly everywhere... and perhaps a few bugs as well... before the earth was finally getting thrust back down to the ground to settle back to how it'd been... the flowers all tousled about, and disturbed.

The tranquility of his observation was shattered as the earth before him seemed to uproot itself. Bits of root and moist dirt spattered against him and the open page of the book, but he was more concerned for his subject of study which had surely been ruined. He leaned forward to inspect the damage as he threaded his fingers through the soil. There was nothing that could be salvaged.

He slowly stood from his spot as he gingerly wiped clusters of dirt from his book before doing the same with his clothes. There was some smudging and his notes were left in tact, but Aram was still quite disappointed to having lost his subject. Even so, there was little he could do now. All he could do now was investigate the source of destruction and conveniently enough the path of upturned earth seemed like a good place to start. There was a small chance this was a natural occurrence, but it seemed more likely that this was a work of magic.

It didn't seem like he had to go very far to find the source. He hesitated, letting himself observe from the bit of cover a large oaken tree provided him while he continued to pick bits of dirt from his hair. He was sure he looked far from presentable now, but that wouldn't stop him from stepping out from his cover when the time was right. For the moment however, he remained where he was to observe the witch and his abilities.

Man that felt good... the sensation of his magic ripping through his arms, to his very finger tips was always a delightful feeling. With the earth placed back into its rightful spot, his fingers curled into fists, before extending again to make nearby tree's groan loudly and heavily. Slowly, ever so slowly, a few began to peel their vines out from the ground, and crack them along the surface, sending long strings of the powerful apendages rippling through the ground, and exposing themselves to the surface... easily able to trip up anyone who might have been wandering past. But of course he was out here by himself!

At least Branek thought... it was once he focused on the tree that the hidden spiritus resided, making the branches bend themselves back that he spotted the blonde hair, making him blink a few times to check that his vision was correct. He stared, the branches creaking, and splintering from being held back too long... before he slowly began to release them, making them ease back to their normal state... and it almost seemed as if the tree sighed in relief. The scene was rather ruffled... but while lowering his arms, the earth seemed to... sew itself back together, and the roots of the tree's dug back underground. Yet Branek's gaze kept focused on this mysterious figure.

He watched from the distance, observing, waiting to see what this character may do now. Where had he come from? No one usually came this high up besides him... How long had he been there? the thought that he might have hurt the guy, or disturbed him of course never crossed the witch's mind.

Aram was not startled by the movement of branches and simply watched with an expression of concern as the tree seemingly bent to the others will. He reached out to touch it, a spark of magic brushing his fingertips. The spiritus' eyes flickered to the earth below his feet when he felt the tree anchor itself back into the earth and watched closely as it seemed to right itself through the magic of the witch.

"I'm glad you're able to put things back proper... for the most part." He sounded a little cross by his tone, but his stature and body language was quite relaxed as he stepped out from the cover of the tree. "But you've caused quite a bit of damage here." A long, silken rabbit ear twitched at the mention of the destruction, but he otherwise showed no sign of being impressed with it.

"What do you seek to accomplish in a place like this?" Aram questioned him to get right to the point. It was secluded and that much told him this witch was seeking a place of practice. Who knows the havoc he might wreck in more populated areas, but that didn't right the destruction of the forest now ripe with the impression of his magic.
