(Stuff is highlighted in short so you won't have to read the whole thing unless you want to; in other terms, the important stuff/ the stuff that you NEED to read is highlighted. Anything in bold is something that's VERY important for you to read.)
So! Rules:
- You may enter as an Official Character from Sonic, or as your own Fan Character.
-NO godmodding. (Godmodding is making another person's character do something in your own turn without your partner's consent; Example Your friend is playing as Tails, and you're playing as Sonic. You write "Sonic gave Tails his signature cocky grin. The hedgehog gave a thumbs up. "Ready to head out, Tails?" He asked. Tails grinned and nodded." ) It's okay if you slip up a few times, but if it happens often enough with warning's from me to stop being given beforehand, then you will be removed from the Guild, especially if the godmodding is very drastic.
-NO metagaming. (Metagaming is when you know something about events/character's in the RP and have your character know those things too, despite them not knowing it in Canon/from when you've RPed them. Example Your character Y had a past relationship with character X. You find out Out-Of-Character that character X is planning on doing something that involves character Y. In-Character, you make character Y know this plan, despite character Y never seeing or hearing from/of character X in the RP or from the point where they broke apart their relationship.) I'm more strict with metagaming as opposed to godmodding, as metagaming is much easier to control. As stated with godmodding, I will give you a few chances/warnings, and if you do it too many times, I will remove you from the Guild.
-Please do not enter any Fan Characters of yours that are gods or god-like; more often than not this will break canon and it will make your character too powerful. If you have any questions about this, then please send me a message.
-Fan character’s will only be rejected if they break Gaia rules or if they are too powerful. Another way to get them rejected is to have them be, for lack of a better term, a sue/stu. (An example of this is them being a carbon copy of an already existing Sonic character; such as Shadow, but the FC being much more powerful than Shadow despite him being the Ultimate Lifeform.)
-You can play as god-character's that are actually a part of the Sonic world; however, I will hold off on people being able to RP as these kinds of character's for now because I want people to get comfortable with the world(s) and setting(s)/characters first before god/god-like character's come into play (there will be a few exceptions, however).
-Make sure that if you send in a form for your Sonic FC (Fan Character) that you balance them out! If they have powers then please have the powers make sense/at the very least be balanced out with reasonable weaknesses and have the powers be reasonable.
-Make sure to keep your character (whether Canon or Fan) IN-CHARACTER. This is important, as I don't want an RPer in this Guild RPing a character like Cream as a violent, satanic child, nor someone RPing Sonic as someone who's weak and defenseless and wants to be wuved or he'll cry. That's not how those characters are, or at the very least that's not how they're going to start out in this RP Guild.
-Please don't pull a sudden plot twist in the middle of an RP. Stick with what you and your partner(s) planned for the RP you’re doing, and don't turn around suddenly and change the direction of the RP (unless that's what you and the other RPer(s) planned on).
-DO NOT kill or seriously injure anyone's character(s) without their okay. If you do wind up doing this, then I want it to be reported to me and the situation explained so I can help to work it out. It isn't fair to the other RPer to have their character seriously harmed in some way and/or killed without their okay for you to do so. I will be very restrictive on you doing this and more likely than not I will NOT give you many chances before booting you out of the Guild.
-Be mature. Don't whine if someone doesn't reply to you in the time you want, or if they aren't playing their character the way -you- want. Communicate with your partner(s). Don't pressure them into doing RP's they don't want to do, and if they do something that you don't like then calmly tell them. Don't yell at them. If they make an offense at you several times, then please report it to me and I will help you get it resolved if you feel the need for me to step in.
-If you find yourself caught up in replies, work, school, whatever, please inform the people you are RPing with (and myself) how long you will be gone. I am okay with people leaving for short absences, as long as they tell me that they're taking a break or that they're caught up in other more important things. If you do not have any other obligations that need to be attended to for a long period of time, then the longest you can wait to respond to replies is a week under normal circumstances. After that I or your RP partners will contact you and ask if you are alright and/or why you haven't been replying.
-Do NOT hound an RPer for replies if they have given a legitimate reason why they can't respond at that point or if they are still under the "one week for reply" rule. Do not pester someone to reply to you right away. Several occasions of this and I may remove you from the Guild.
-Do NOT spam people with requests to RP. One message is enough, and if you think it didn't go through, then send it again. But please don't send it 5-20 times within the span of 5 minutes.
-Follow Gaia Rules.
-Keep things PG-13, please.
-Mild cussing and violence is allowed, but nothing that violates the Gaia Rules.
-NO cybering. Things such as kissing, hugging, etc. are okay however.
-Fill out all sections of the form.
-The only minimum I have for how much you have to write each turn is for you to not give one-worded replies. If you're character says only one thing, then that's fine! But describe what they're doing when they're talking. Are they tilting their head? Are they yelling it? Put in things like that. You don't have to write something really long every turn, but at least put more than one-worded efforts into your replies.
-If you wish to play an AU version of a character, then please don't just take a character's appearance and change their whole personality and being to suit what you want them to be like. At least make it so the character is still, y'know, the character. Ask me if you're unsure about it.
-Please use decent grammar and punctuation/capitalization when RPing! If it’s an OOC chat then you don’t have to do this, but it’d be nice if you could stick to writing out full words in RP as opposed to using text talk. Mistakes in writing are okay, I just don’t want to see text talk all over the place or see a large lack of punctuation/grammar/capitalization.
-If you want to leave the Guild/drop the character you’re playing for whatever reason, I’m alright with that. But if you do want to leave/drop the character that you’re playing, please don’t just up and do it without telling anyone; more likely than not it will leave people hanging if they were RPing with the character, and it’ll leave a gaping hole in the plot. Tell me and your partners beforehand that you want to drop your character/leave the group, so we can work something out and either have the position of the character filled by another person or find a way to move the character out of the RP without leaving other people hanging.
-To enter this group, you need to fill out a form. This will allow me to decide if you'd make a good match for this RP Guild or not.
I may edit this slightly as time goes on. If you have any questions then please, feel free to message me! I hope you find this Guild to your liking!
