The evening was drawing near and Nemesis had woken. He opened his eyes and the familiar red glow they emited returned to the world. In the summer he had always struggled with the heat and so slept in cooler places with lots of ventilation.

Many who had stumbled upon his sleeping body were wise enough to leave him alone, turn on their hooves and go back from where they came, althogh some were not clever enough to do so. Often it ended up with the other soquili going as pale as the clouds in the sky and a very annoyed Nemesis.

As usual he stood up, shook off any vegetation which may have found itself resting on his body, he would then preen his wings and check they were okay.
He slung his scarf back over himself and closed his eyes for a moment letting the evening breeze blow gently through his mane and to the roots of his hair.
He exhaled, opened his eyes and set on his way in search of another task to carry out.

 

[Tsunake]

The stallion was not alone on this night, as the sudden rustle of bushes nearby soon gave way to a young, slender woman. Garbed in white, her big, dark eyes slid about the landscape--but as Nemesis was a dark creature to begin with, she didn't seem to see him at first. Her skin was dark, as was her hair--save for a slender strand of crimson that set her apart from most Kawani natives. These little hands were so fragile, but nimble! She could grasp things, always marveling at the sensitivity of her long, thin fingers.

It was the glimpse of a pair of crimson lights that made her freeze, staring with wide eyes before she lifted her hands as though to soothe whoever--whatever it was in the darkness.

Nemesis might feel a soothing, calming sensation of affection begin to fill the air, a silent reassurance that she meant no harm. She still couldn't see what he was, exactly, but if she could convince him she meant no threat, it might give her a chance to shift back and escape should he be a less-than-welcoming individual.

It was not uncommon for there to be strange sounds in thw woods and the rustling of bushes but to him this was the distinct sound of someone being careful, he did not hear much in the way of footing, perhaps a twig or two snapping but other than that it did not sound like hooves.

Much to his surprise a young female human slowly appeared infront of his eyes. It was not uncommon for them to come out all this way but she was dressed to elegantly for just a normal trip to the woods. The intensity of his awareness began to dull and he began to feel calm, he felt a strange fondness for the human despite not even knowing her.

Normally it was within him to fight such a thing but he did not feel he could as he had not been given a proper chance to wake up fully. He stayed where he was under the trees adjacent from her.

Luck would have it! The woman's lips moved in soundless prayer, and she closed her eyes to focus on shifting back into her normal form. The shift was a painless, fluid thing, her wings unfurling from her back even as she fell to her hands and knees. In a matter of moments, the young woman was gone--and in her place, a mare that practically glowed in the moonlight.

"Did I startle you?" She asked after a moment, blinking to try and adjust her eyes to the darkness. "Forgive me. It was never my intention." But what was he doing out here all by himself? --Sleeping, she supposed, that much should have been obvious.

With luck, those feelings of affection wouldn't last long at all now that she wasn't concentrating on them.
