The main street that runs all the way through town, branching out between the docks and station, it's definitely the most utilized. From here the residential homes could be reached. During the SeeD exam, the streets crowd with visitors as well as residents.
You enter the residential district to find it JUST a mess! There is a car blocking the road on its side, and citizens are running around in a panic. You see dozens of Flan's everywhere! There is a scream from inside the house next to the car that blocks your way.
But a man approaches you, like everyone he is quite the hysterical panic. "Y-you! You're from the Garden!? Oh thank Hyne! Please! Please you have to help me! I can't find my Daughter! She was here just a second ago! Please help!"
What do you do? Do you help the man find his daughter? Or go into the residence that the scream is coming from?
Whatever you decide will have to wait, because you are ganged up on by 3 of these Flan creatures!

The euphoric rush of running sparked the instance the boot of her dominant heel kissed the city pavement died as the turmoil encompassed her active senses drawing the young teen to assume a concentrated pace. Her eyes popped, staring, and gawked blank-faced as an overthrow of emotions dug themselves to gain territory on the surface world. Her home of Balamb...was... Senna's stomach lurched as if shown a fresh corpse with the face of her mother and father. Involuntarily, the ache contracted and browbeat her insides until she wearily doubled-over suddenly winded by the non-burdening exercise of productivity. Monster songs reverted off the acoustics designed by standing walls, destruction fell in her wake while disorientation birthed itself into mass hysteria, and as she focused on the overturned car securing any entry into a residence, an unspecting hop of her shoulders came after hearing an emotionally unwell man flag her down.
Empathic affections brushed the girl's visage as her eyes welled in tears. How urgent the man is in finding her daughter--would her father throw himself at whoever appeared capable of aide if Senna hadn't attended the Garden and remained in town? She imagined the daughter must be as frightened by her separation with her paternal figure as the livid fellow begging for help. "Sir, des--"
The gelatin monsters surrounded the young blonde and interrupted her inquiry to learn information about his child's appearance. Senna shifted her body into a defensive stance, conducting her arms and re-positioning her legs to protect her vitals during the collision of preemptive attacks. In her heart of hearts, she prayed to the great one for her squad's needed arrival. If Seymour plotted to punish Senna in whatever degree, it would need to wait until the groups were back at the Garden and Balamb Town was emancipated from the monstrous threat.

The Man had backed up in a panic when the Flan appeared, falling on his a** behind Senna. The Flan themselves would whack their flabby slimey tendrils at Senna.

Senna exclaimed as the attacks by the flan connected to her defended form. The teen thanked the physical encounter delivered in the stead of one of magical origin. Inhaling through her nose as the stings lurking through her body lessened to be more managed, she glared at the circled creatures while she straightened herself. Her blonde lashes fluttered cautiously while she concentrated on finding her center, using Iron Resolve to utilize for future use. She huffed lightly as her inner resolve coursed through her, though feeling drained in an equal light. She hoped her squad saved her from throwing herself into these foolishly concocted mistakes.

Rory finally caught up with the little blond cadet Lloyd in time to see her engaging with three Flan. The animated blobs of bluish semi-translucent goo were ganging up on her, flailing attacks with malformed tentacular limbs. The small cadet appeared to be taking more than her fair share in hits.
"This is what happens when you don't think." Rory growled as he strode swiftly up beside her, reaching behind him to procure his Beretta and bringing the weapon up to bear on the nearest of the Flan. He wished for a moment that the disgusting aniforms were sentient, then he could have easily dealt with them with Peaceful Means, but no such luck.
Rory channeled his mana into his fingertips and spun his Beretta artistically, passing the weapon back and forth from hand to hand, around his body a few times, and muttered a soft word. "Phantasm..." His magic generated a phantom imitation of his gun and he juggled the two weapons around his waist quickly, spinning both, before bringing them up to fire on one of the Flan.

"Cure..." The magi's slightly tilted staff enveloped the wounded blonde's form, healing her on contact. Tenaj smirked, amused by the macho tone of voice of the gunner. "Honestly, someone needs to give the girl a break. That could be the most impulsive thing that the girl has done in her life." Not meaning to stab at the girl's mannerisms, yet with the outcome of the battle being, there wasn't any reason to coddle the young wallflower. She observed the injured flan in preparedness for being a task to give support to either of the able physical fighters.

Though he was the first to get there, the instructor didn't jump in right away. He stayed back a bit to watch, leaning on the upturned car, almost invisible to the others as the came over. Once the other two came to fight, he walked over calmly to assess the situation. "These things are going to be hard to kill with no attack magic. Not sure if the Pulsefire on my Omni-tool are going to be of any use." But just in case it does cast. he decided to release the pulse. His Omni-tool glow switched from orange to red, and gets a shot off one of the Flans. After that his Omni-tool switched to a green color and he cast Kinetic Barrier on Senna. "I'm ok with being support this mission. Senna, draw a spell and see what we can get."

The instructor had no idea why he was being attacked right now. Maybe it has something to do with his good looks? Joking aside, there was a serious problem that needed to be addressed. His clothes were now all mucky and his skin stung like he had barbs p***k him up and down his body. It seriously baffled him why the flan were focusing on him, but while they were, it meant that the others wouldn't face the brunt of the attack. He was okay with this as long these things didn't knock him out. What was a real bummer was that now he couldn't use his Kinetic Barrier again until the Omni-tool cooled. He knew his attacks wouldn't do much, and he was a little nervous with possibly making these multiply if he decided to slice them. Who really knows, it can happen. He's seen the movies. So instead of fighting, he defended, and hopefully could hold the attention of the little goopers long enough for the others to finish them off.

Senna's subconscious softened with positivity flowing unbound by the deafening opposition of a nervous personality. The bleak seas parted in such rapturous delight and allowed criticism to bounce off her like water off of s duck's back. She agreed with Rory. Separating from her squad was like a death wish. She parted from the sides of her comrades to seek what challenged her heart. What if neither of her comrades gathered to back-up the blonde? In the world outside of the protection of the Garden, the youths are on their own. All in the minutes of this event was being transferred to talk her out of throwing her defenses out the window in the next round.
She exhaled softly as the holy light cast from Tenaj's staff re-fueled her constitution and contained the urge to express regret to the elder man who provided her with a supportive spell raising her ability to not crumble under enemy strikes. "Yes, sir." She replied to the order to use Draw Magic.
Like a gun's scope, the teen examined between the three slimes. The attitude of one appeared to be the best to draw a spell from. Focused, she poised herself as the lessons rolled through her thoughts as siphoned whatever the first fiend owned in its possession.

At Neva's chiding comments regarding his reaction to Senna's behavior, Rory decided that he didn't particularly like the tiny blue-haired girl, or at the very least wasn't inclined to give her any attention. Of course she was entitled to her opinion, but sheer stupidity was simple stupidity, and if the blonde didn't know any better she'd sooner or later get herself killed. Perhaps more importantly she might get him killed, although he didn't make a habit of thinking selfishly like that.
Girls really are such girls. This is exactly why I find myself preferring women. Rory thought with an eye roll. Looking back at the three Flan, the tall boy weighed his opinions. Peculation was not really an opinion here since he couldn't be sure that there would be any real benefit to attempting to steal from the slime balls. Of course, Pistol-whipped was a stronger attack than simply shooting at the living jello but he would have to actually make contact with the things... Not really appealing.
My rotten luck... he thought with a sigh and tossed his Beretta in the air, taking several quick strides towards the nearest Flan, catching the weapon by the barrel and belting the creature with the heavy butt of the gun. He had aimed for the "face," but with Flan you couldn't really be sure. As he backpedaled to get clear of anyone else's attacks, he grimaced and shook the goo off the handle of his gun.
