Music floated through the door when George walked up, the sounds of a violin drifting through the night before ceasing.

Koorie paused a moment, looking over her shoulder at the door. Had that been a knock? She wasn't expecting company. With a small frown, she set down her violin and stood up. With a sharp whistle, she signaled for Miu to take up next to her in case it was danger, then headed to the door. Upon opening it, her face turned flush and she became greatly aware of who exactly was calling on her.

"George! I wasn't expecting you." She saw him dressed up and felt her cheeks turn even darker; she was dressed casual in a pair of dark jeans and a well fitting silk top. Instantly, she ran a hand through her hair, then smiled down at his companion. "Hello, Otto. Would you both like to come in?"

Miu was completely at east by the time the door had opened; she had caught George and Otto's familiar scent and knew that her human was in no way in danger. Seeing Otto, she nodded her head. <It's good to see you again. How are you?> She greatly enjoyed the male's company.

Warmth spread through her body and Koorie didn't hesitate to lean into George when he kissed her cheek. "Oh? A walk through town seems quite enjoyable." Her face broke into a warm smile, something she reserved only for him. "I've been sitting on the damn stool all day and I could really use a change of scenery." Normally she would be upset with George for just dropping in like that... but she was having a really hard part writing the notes for this one spot that she was glad to have a distraction.

"Let me just grab a coat and my wallet!" She easily scaled her stairs to the second story, bounding down almost child-like a moment later with a jacket on and a small spritz of perfume. "Alright, I'm ready."

Miu couldn't help but smile as Otto's tail wagged furiously; she admired his genuine enthusiasm, even as his tail lightly brushed against her while they walked back in. She settled herself next to Otto as Koorie ran up the stairs, a warm expression in her eyes as she found herself happy to see the trainer so happy.

Turning back to Otto, her own tails twitched a few times.

Koorie grinned a little as she stepped out, waiting for him. "I think you say that every time you see me." And, if anything, she was the one who was lucky. She was a difficult person to get close to, let alone get along with. And despite that, George put with with her temper, her mood swings, her complications, and everything that was broken with her... and did the kindest gestures.

She said nothing as she reached over and took his hand, glad for him.


Miu looked at him and tilted her head. Getting up, she stretched out, and then followed Otto after their trainers. Falling into step beside him, she sighed. She didn't like massive crowds of humans; she didn't trust them much.

Koorie let her fingers twine with his. "Hmmm, well there's always such wonderful food in Chinatown... not to mention some rather unique clothes if you know where to look." She let herself be pulled closer, feeling no shame in showing off that she was his.

Miu fell silent for a little as she fell into her thoughts. Feeling the fur of Otto's tail brush against her, her ears perked up and she shook her head.

"That sounds perfect, George." Koorie looked up at him and squeezed his hand lightly. "If anything, we should look for hair accessories; I've got a lot of hair to work with when I costume, it'd be nice to have some new styles to put it into."

Miu stayed silent as Otto talked, not sharing his enthusiasm in the slightest about being in a crowded place. Her ears were pressed back and her muscles were braced as she slunk silently beside him. Without a word, she moved a little closer so she was brushing against him.

Glancing over her shoulder, Koorie eyed Miu as she tried to figure out how the pokemon was handling the growing crowds. "Lets go get something to eat. It looks like she needs a chance to settle down a bit. She never has done well around people."

Miu felt her spirits rise a little and she gently nuzzled against Otto's cheek in return. She looked at Otto sadly.

Koorie felt a small smile pull on her lips as George guided them to the hole-in-the-wall restraunt. The man knew the perfect places to go, and this was one of them. It was small, but still well furnished with good lighting and mirrors everywhere to give it a sense of larger and more open space.

Miu had known this pup wouldn't understand how deep these feelings were. How she'd lived in the city afterwards, on the streets where the dirt and grim covered her markings. No one looked twice at her unless she was rumaging for scraps; then she was treated like a pest and chased off.

At Otto's mention of begging for scraps, her ears pressed back and she growled a little. She dashed up and pressed against Koorie's leg until they had sat down, and then settled herself as invisible as possible under Koorie's chair.

Koorie looked from Otto to Miu, then back to Otto and gently pat his head. "Don't take it personally, she always gets testy when we're out like this. She's had it hard and she has trust issues, like I do." She looked up at George. "Sometimes the right, stubborn man comes along and fixes that a little."
