With an extensive vineyard and a nice, old fashioned building, Black Cat Wines is everything you'd expect of a winery. Their focus is making some of the finest wines on the island (okay, who are we kidding, they make the only wine you can even get on the island but fortunately, their wine is quite tasty, so it's all good.) Offering both red and white wines, this is a place you can fill all your basic wine needs. Unless your wine needs involve cheap, sour wine for a quick buzz, because Black Cat only makes top notch stuff, you fool!
Run by Eoin Tremaine and his [reluctant] daughter, the winery is housed in a refurbished old building. Beneath the offices and winery are a series of old, moldy catacombs where they keep the wine stored in barrels and bottles. The catacombs are damp, creepy and may have skeletons in the walls. And ghosts.
Owner: Eoin Tremaine Worker: Angela Tremaine Worker: OPEN! Worker: OPEN! Hours of Operation: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Closed: Mondays and Holidays

Eoin was hard at work at the winery. Angela had gotten all the filing done over the weekend and now Eoin was recataloging all the wines according to her new filing system and afterward, he was going to go check the vineyards. On top of that, they had several vats of wine nearing the end of the primary fermentation process and he needed to check on those. It would be nice to have help, but he'd given Angela the day off so he was working alone today. Not that he minded; he actually enjoyed this process quite a lot. In any case they'd built up enough stock that he was contemplating having a wine tasting as a way to celebrate his new ownership of the winery. Hmm. He pulled a small, digital rolodex across the desk toward him and started scrolling through the businesses located on the island, wondering who he could get to cater the event. If they provided wines and, perhaps, some gourmet cheeses...perhaps they wouldn't need anything particularly fancy to supplement that. Maybe the bakery...

 - Julian Fate & Stella Hammett- It was a simple patrol, it was his alone time. Perhaps he should've listened to his partner and just stay inside. It did look ugly outside. But there was no chance in hell he expected a full blown hurricane to have him running for shelter. Granted, he had been ignoring the previous weather reports because... he figured it would be fine. Fall was a nice season anyways. But no. Here he was now, getting to the winery quite soaked with the mail carrier behind him. The woman had thought it was nice weather after all to deliver packages. He swore this island was full of crazy people. "Stella. I had no idea the weather was going to be this bad, but why in Goddess' name did you think it was nice weather?" asked the man in an exasperated tone. "Well, wouldn't you want to see flying cows Mr. Julian Fate?" replied Stella, equally soaked, except a good portion of her carrier bag that she tried her best to keep dry. "...What?" "The movie. The one where this sort of things happen and cows fly." Julian merely looked at her before shaking his head and looking back at the door he had just come through. That's pretty horrible weather. He sighed before remembering somebody must be here and. "Hello Mr. Eoin Tremaine." And of course she went ahead of him. Stella was already speaking... in full names again. She should really stop saying the names like that. Maybe she really did memorize them, but it was still creepy in his opinion. "I'm sorry for barging in like this, but we were... kinda caught in that" added in Julian as he pointed back at the, well sounds and atmospheric chaos behind him.

When the rain began, Eoin decided to go put on a pot of tea in the quaint little kitchenette he'd installed in the winery. It wasn't much, but it was enough to make decent tea, and was stocked with an array of snacks and small food items for those times he found himself squirreled away for hours on end (which was annoyingly often, really). He was just closing up the windows of the main office and considering locking up and heading for the safety of home when two bedraggled strangers appeared, citing wanting to get out of the rain as their reason for stopping by. Well, that settled that, then. He certainly wasn't going to turn them away when it did look to be coming down out there. He probably ought to leave the doors open, too, just in case more stragglers wandered in. Besides, it did look like the wind was picking up and he had a nice, safe (if slightly creepy) cellar to hide in. "Not at all," Eoin said, smiling reassuringly. "Please come inside." He glanced around, feeling a bit bad he couldn't really offer them...much. There were some chairs to sit in at least? "Ah...I haven't any towels to offer you unfortunately, unless you'd like to make use of the tea towels in the kitchen to at least dry your hair off a bit. I can't imagine they'll help much, but I do suppose it's better than nothing at all."Somehow...the woman had known his name, which was truly rather odd. Eoin gave her a faint smile. "I'm sorry. I believe you have me at a disadvantage, Ms...?

 - Julian Fate & Stella Hammett- The pair, with each at their own state, could not ask for more than a place where they weren't basically flung around in such weather. Which is why Julian merely nodded, taking a seat himself in one of the nearby chairs before replying "It's fine. It's not so bad really". Well, that might've been a lie. He was soaked after all, but the entrance got most of that consequence, the chair got the rest of it. While the officer focused on settling himself in a chair, Stella left off her bag in a chair and tried to slap off, for lack of a better word, some excess water off her hair. "Stella Hammett" replied the woman in a slightly upbeat tone and returning the smile, not the best for hurricane weather but rightly so for making an acquaintance. "I'm actually your mail-carrier" she added. Of course, where did he think all his bills and letters came from? Or maybe he was one of those digitalized people that didn't get them. No, no. She remembered his name after all, that meant she had delivered something to the place. Yes, she delivered something. Well she hoped she had, or else it would be creepy. For him anyways. At that moment Julian looked over in their direction and slightly shook his head. "Sorry about that, she tends to that after she reads a name. I keep telling her it's creepy as hell, but she really doesn't listen." And she really didn't, after all Stella was older, she had no reason to listen to the hot-headed cop. "It's polite. It isn't creepy, or is it Mr. Eoin Tremaine?"

"Oh no, it's not at all creepy," Eoin said, waving a hand. "I was merely concerned I'd forgotten having met you before. But how could I have forgotten such a lovely young woman," he added, inclining his head politely. "You can call me Eoin, if you prefer and it is a pleasure to meet you both."
"If you'd like, you can come back to my office--it's a bit more comfortable there. And I can get you something to drink? We have spring water, tea, coffee I think." He smiled faintly. "And some of the finest wine in the world if I do say so myself."He supposed, if they were willing, he could use them to test out some of the new wares. At any rate, it was nice to have some company. He wasn't overly fond of storms to begin with and if he'd been trapped here alone, he'd likely have done nothing but fret over Angela and worry if the house was alright. At least now he had someone to distract him. Eoin motioned them back toward his office as he spoke. "In the meantime, I should love to hear more about you both. I've yet to meet many of my fellow islanders apart from a few here and there." "Strangely, I once found myself trapped in the lighthouse with one...though I fear I can't recall her name. Strange incident, that was..."

 - Julian Fate & Stella Hammett- Well that was good, and flattering. "Of course" beamed Stella at the thought. "Some tea sounds lovely, or anything" said the woman following him into the office. She listened to him while keeping an eye around the winery. It was her first time in here really. There was another winery around but that was a while back, and well she usually just stayed at the entrance. "Nothing for me, I still have to patrol once the storms over." The situation stayed on Stella's mind though. "In a... lighthouse?" "That's odd." added in Julian as he followed them. "I mean I grew up in a lighthouse. A few years, but getting trapped in one..." The man raised an eyebrow at the thought. Granted his childhood home was nice but... yeah island antics to be sure. Which was what that was, he had been dragged along for the ride there, but he didn't deal with the lighthouse per say, Romane must've. He would've let Eoin say something before Stella spoke again. "Are you married Mr. Tremaine? Sometimes a woman takes the parcels" she commented merely out of curiosity.

"Tea is going to hamper your ability to patrol?" Eoin asked, slightly amused. "This may be a winery, but I can assure you that it's merely plain tea." Eoin led his two guests to his office and left them there as he went to prepare more tea. The kitchenette was just next to his office, tough, so he could still hear Stella's question, though he wasn't entirely sure of the relevance. A few minutes later, he returned with a plate of biscuits to snake on until the water boiled. "I'm afraid not," he said. "Sadly, my wife Helene died some time ago." He paused, his eyes going far away. "It's been thirteen--no, fourteen years already, I believe." Setting the tray down on a low coffee table, Eoin sighed slightly. "It's just me and my daughter these days. Though I don't think she could be bothered to take my mail."
"Well, there's also the butler and the maid..." And to be honest, he wouldn't put it beyond either of them. They were a bit shady--but far too amusing to let go. He heard the kettle start to whistle and started out of the room. "So, Julian was it? Does that mean you grew up here in Nirvani?"

 - Julian Fate & Stella Hammett- Wasn't that... silly of him. Julian let out a slight huff at that, ever so slight once Eoin left. Well he was in a winery! Yet he hadn't listened very well. "Oh... I'm sorry" replied Stella softly as he told of his late wife. She frowned before taking a biscuit. That was a while, it was sad... Did they have a good marriage? What was his daughter like? Was he always a wine man? This biscuit was lovely. Hm... Stella would be lost in thought as she also contemplated the biscuit which was good. Eoin's attention seemed directed at Julian, so she would be fine. "Ah, yeah. I think I was born here too. Parentals were also officers here. It's not a bad place... it's just weird at times." Perhaps weird was an understatement. Though things had been relatively calm as it was lately. "Where are you and your daughter from Eoin?" Since the tea could or not hamper his patrolling, a biscuit had no harm, so Julian joined in on taking one to snack on. Though he wasn't exactly lazy with his work, he wasn't about to spend his free time memorizing the residents' files, unlike his foster mother.

"That's lovely," Eoin said, returning with a tray of tea. He brought an extra cup for Julian just in case he decided the tea was, indeed, safe. "And please don't worry, Stella. It was many years ago after all." He set the tray down and began to pour out the tea for himself and Stella. He smiled at Julian. "Well, I did, somewhat, get that feeling. The tomato festival was quite an odd experience, I must say. I was also knocked out of the entire competition by my daughter, the traitor." He laughed slightly. "But she is always like that so I suppose I should be used to it."Come to think of it, Julian was a nice looking young man. And he had quite a respectable job. Perhaps Eoin should poke a bit and see if he was single. Angela could always use a bit of a nudge when it came to her romantic endeavors...considering she'd never had any as far as Eoin was aware. And she was an adult already. Even if her health issues made biological grand children unlikely, they could always adopt....hmmm. He gave the young man an appraising look as he passed a cup of tea to Stella. "Well, I'm from a small town in north-eastern Warwickshire, England. Our ancestral home is there--Newnham Paddox. It's been the family seat since the Earldom was established in the 17th century. My daughter spent most of her childhood in London, due to extenuating circumstances, however. It's a lovely area. I'm sure the family would be happy to put you up, should either of you ever choose to visit."
Taking his own cup, he held it close to his face and breathed in the fragrant scent of freshly brewed black tea. "What of you, Stella? Are you also a native of Nirvani, then?"
