Here is a site with a description of each Faction.

http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Fraternities_of_Enchanters

I would have to be a Aequitarian because while most "normal" people will always be afraid if not cautious around mages (like jory in orgins) I believe that mages should use there ability's to help people and make it a better place and try to improve how people see mages. If I were to choose any other faction it would have to be the loyalists (not counting keili that girl is just wacked). I believe that mages and templars should find a compromise that would benefit everyone and help build the world into a better place, because there will always be mages and there will always be templars.

I heard about this recently in my mage run in origins, anyways I kinda support the Liberterians. I'm all for separating the mages from the Chantry, cause I do believe that mages are being too restricted from attaining their full potential. and that they should be able to use their power in any way they see fit (kinda like the tevinter imperium but with less blood magic and slavery). I don't approve of mages using blood magic and summoning demons (like Uldred from origins), that's a sign of weakness in my opinion of a mage being unable to attain strength through his own will. Although I do have to say the blood magic ability in gameplay is quite useful (kinda like blood price in final fantasy). My second fraternity of choice would be Lucrosian, because who doesn't want money?

Aequitarian. I have mixed feelings about Chantry-involvement with mages. In one sense, I believe mages should have more interaction with the outside world, however with what happened in Tevinter as soon as the Circle became self-regulating, I'm hesitant to repeat my initial stance, which is to destroy the Circle entirely.

My views changed after I heard about Tevinter's state of affairs, as well as after all the corrupted apostates in Dragon Age 2. I think a lot of the corruption could be solved if the Circle just allowed mages more freedoms, such as the ability to own land, hold titles, and see their family and friends. However, I do think mages should still be regulated, such as having regular visits from the templars, or even continue to live in the Circle, just not be imprisoned within it.

I totally agree, I think that the circle should be more like a collage. Instead of being hounded and watched they could have monthly evaluations and should be able to see there families and to have a family. There has got to be a middle ground where both sides can get what they want and have some form of peace. If something isnt done there will never be peace and even though i would perfer a peaceful way to end the conflict, war seems the be the only solution at this point in time, but i would have done something else instead of killing the grand cleric (R.I.P Grand Cleric Elthina crying ).
