Lume purred softly, a trait inherited from his cheetah father. The male remembered fondly the first time his mother had heard the noise and freaked out. Of course, the trade off was that Lume was not able to roar like a lion or leopard, but the hybrid had never really needed to. After all, snarling and growling had done him just fine up to this point. Though his mother often said he had a flair for the dramatic, Lume didn't even see the point of big, flashy roars. In his experience, those who roared were all bark and no bite. Why waste time with loud noises when you could make your point with claws? The leotah flexed his toes, stretching his legs. One thing he hadn't inherited were the permanent unsheathed claws. He always wondered whether that was a nuisance or not, having claws out all of the time. Lume knew it was handy for running, but what about other situations? Seemed it could be a bit of a hassle. Lume rolled over onto his back, sun warming the dark fur on his belly. The nap had been nice, but it was time to look for something to do, or he'd be antsy for the rest of the day. He wasn't like most of the lions he'd met, content with lazing about all day. Lume only sat down when he needed to recharge. So long as he had an once of energy in him, then he was up and about. It annoyed his mother to no end, but Lume was getting better about finding other things to do rather then heckle the leopardess. He let his mother have her relaxation time in peace so long as he was free to run off and do what he wanted. It kept the both of them sane.

Hezo'nan had found a rabbit that seemed to be a bit of fun to chase. She didn't see the male that was out there, all her attention was on the rabbit. She wasn't hungry, but she did want to run. As it started running after spotting her, she was right there behind it. Laughing as she went. She wouldn't hurt the little guy, at least not right now. She just was having a bit of fun.
"I'm going to get you!" she said as she moved a bit faster, the rabbit turning this way and that trying to shake her off. To be truthful, she wasn't that great at keeping up to something that was doing what it was. It was just a matter of time before she'd lose it.
Dust was all anyone could see from behind them. Though, like she thought, the rabbit turned quick again. Hezo'nan tried to follow it, but ended up tripping and tumbling down. "OOOOOPH!" was all that came out of her mouth as a bug dust cloud swarmed around her from her fall.

[ Lady Kiya ] Ack! Sorry! Between RL and the Kizi META, I've been swamped. Lume flipped over again as something in his peripheral vision caught his attention. He sat up properly, tail curled around his paws, in order to get a better look. There was a dust cloud heading his way. It certainly wasn't big enough to be a stampede, so perhaps a hunt? The leotah popped his claws out just in case. it never hurt to be prepared. A cheetah and a rabbit burst out of the brush, making Lume start a little. But the hare maneuvered away, and the cheetah went tumbling down in front of his perch. Lume waved thedust away with his paw, coughing a little. Once the air was clear he stood up and peered down at the cheetah, a grin on his face. She didn't seem hurt at all, which was a good thing. Despite how often he scuffed himself up, Lume was not good at dealing with injuries. "You know," He drawled, laughing a little, "That's gotta be the most interesting hunting technique I've ever seen." Lume teased, winking at the cheetah playfully.

Hazo'nan stood up, and shook her fur to get the dust off. It did little good, however. Half of her was light brown, and half of her was her was white with rainbows. "Hunting?" She raised a brow. "Oh no! I wasn't hunting." she gave a small laugh as if it was some inside joke, or perhaps that he didn't get it was funny. "I was just having a bit of fun with the old hare."
Not that the hare would feel the same way. She once tried to ask a hare to play with her, but they thought she was trying to trick them into being made dinner. Was a sad day, no matter. "Don't you like having fun?" She asked him curiously.

Lume perked up, now fully on his feet. Now here was someone he could get along with! Unfortunately for the male, it wasn't everyday that he found someone who just liked having a bit of fun. Now having been sufficiently rested from his nap, it seemed as if the perfect opportunity to run off his energy had just appeared. "Please," Lume scoffed, hopping down from his perch, "I'm practically the king of fun!" The hybrid landed easily, straightening up and grinning at the cheetah. They stood at roughly the same height, but Lume was a little bit shorter. He was more on the stocky side, broad leopard shoulders, thicker legs, and a fluffier tail. "Zebra riding, rhino heckling, alligator teasing, I'm an expert of it all!" Not to mention a skilled fighter and brawler, but Lume was pretty sure that sparring didn't fit into this cheetah's definition of fun. Which was fine with the male. He was a flexible and versatile kind of guy.

She gave him a playful grin. "Oh you are, are you?" She said in a sort of mocking voice as if he needed to prove it before she would believe anything. "I'll believe that when I see it." She said with a cocky type voice. She wasn't normally cocky, or mocking, but this seemed like it could be fun. It was all fun and games when the other one seemed to be all for it too.
She paused for a moment. "Show me how it's done then, oh king of fun!" She thought about the ones he had listed. "I think Zebra Riding would be the easiest, since I think there was a few around her." She hadn't seen a Rhino in a while, nor did she think there were any alligators near by.The Captain Britain I apologize for the wait!

[ Lady Kiya ] No problem! I've been a bit slow myself lately. Oh-ho-ho, a challenge! Lume could definitely get on board with this. "If that's what you want, little miss bonita." The male winked. He circled around her, tasting the wind for the zebras she had seen. They were upwind, back in the direction she had come chasing the rabbit. "Well let's get going, shall we? Don't want our afternoon entertainment to go running off without us." Lume began trotting towards their target, flicking his tail as an indicator for the cheetah to follow. "You're about to see a pro in action! Lume Flanco: expert Zebra Rider!" He just hoped that we wasn't too rusty. It had been a little while since he had last gone zebra-riding. "You ever done this before? Or anything like? I mean, I got nothing against amateurs, but I gotta know for safety reasons, miss....ah..." About to go do some dangerous stunts with a pretty female whose name he didn't even know yet! What a dog he was. No offense to the canine breed, of course. Lume had actually met some very nice wild dogs in his travels.
