Thamin Akira hesitantly peeked about before emerging from the underbrush of the forest out into the open. It had been a long time, years in fact, since she had last been to this place. She knew not what to expect. Phail Ninja Ladon was lurking about on the edges of his territory, which also happened to coincide with the barrier of the forest. Whist he much preferred the depths of the woodland to the open prairie, it was necessary to come out here sometimes, for this was closer to the settlement of humans - and where there were humans, there tended to be tasty snacks.
Thamin Akira was slow in her movements as she made her way out into the open. She peeked each and every war to ensure that there were no predators about. She was quite frightened to tell the truth, but curiosity as to what had become of the world compelled her to venture further forth. For a moment she thought she spied another soquili, a mini like herself.... But at the same time, she had never known any type of mini but usdia. She thought herself mad as she spied feathers and such on this mini, and thus froze in place instantly. Phail Ninja Listening intently, Ladon dared to inch out from the cover of the trees. Due to his quillin blood, his steps were silent. He had mastered the art of light-walking, letting him cross the grass without even crushing a bug on it. But the sudden sound of footsteps made him freeze, for he knew they were not his. Spinning his head, he spied an usdia not too far away. He froze, ducking slightly with wide eyes. He didn't often get strangers in these parts. Twisting his head to the right in a serpent-like motion, he briefly narrowed his eyes. "Oh... erm... Hello?" That was standard protocol for meeting a stranger, right?
Thamin Akira couldn't help but simply stand there and blink as she watched the mini near by. It wasnt until the other spoke that she assumed the male would not attack. Perhaps she was just a tad bit too paranoid in strange places, but for one that never left their home area she felt precaution was necessary. At the sound of the others voice she jumped a little, but one could visibly see that she was no longer ridged and frozen. She raised her brows curiously as she stretched her neck to look the other over, now even more curious as to what exactly he was, before replying to his greeting. "Good Afternoon..." She returned softly. Phail Ninja The mare seemed to be just as frozen as he was initially. Upon her words, Ladon took a couple of quick steps towards her, watching her cautiously with one eye. She didn't seem threatening. His tail swayed with each step. Why was she here, so close to his territory? Was she... after his cookies? He bristled slightly, but forced himself to relax. Why would anyone else know about his cookies? He cleared his throat, "I don't get many visitors around here... Are you, here to stay?" So long as she wasn't moving permanently onto his property, it was okay.
