Nevada, after the shipwreck had settled on staying in Stormy's room just a bit longer, Seeing as she owed the girl so much. Where though the huntress got too worried her, but assumed she was with Gale and hoped for the best.
But it left her lonely and she had been working her way to asking her sister for time. Time together. Time to be twins again. It was just....hard....er....After so long.
Well time was now to buck up as she found her sister's room, using makeshift lockpick set to undo the lock and let herself in. And if Alaska was in her bed, Nevada was there too.

After the shipwreck, Alaska preferred to stay holed up in her room, especially considering the mission had given her a cold that would be lasting more than just a few days. Her braid was now undone and her clothes were still in a messy state, although a few of her outfits were already neatly folded and pressed before being put into the drawers.
For now, the nineteen-year-old wanted to snuggle deep beneath the covers and ride out the illness before better acquainting herself with the island’s geography. It was frustrating to know that she still knew so little about her circumstance, but someday it would change. She just hoped that someday was soon.
Somewhere between the haze and sleeping, Alaska sensed another person in her bed. She groaned. “Nevada,” she groaned, stuffy nose and all. Without turning around, she tried to smack her younger sibling out of bed. “You don’t just sleep in a sick person’s bed.”

Someday would be today soon if Alaska kept pushing her sister out of the bed. She managed to get under the covers and was going to wrap her arms around her twin when the hand came to push her out.
"But I'm sick too, So it's two sick people sleeping in one sick person's bed." She gave a small whine before scooting in closer. "I don't want to sleep alone and Stormy is with Gale." She sniffled...maybe a just bit more dramatic sniffling then usual.
"We get an extra day to go out of the Island...." She murmured, "And $1000 to do so...."

“In case you haven’t noticed…” She paused so she could reach for a tissue and blow her nose. “I’m clearly the sicker between the two of us, and I’d like to have some peace and quiet while I sleep this ******** cold off.” Scowling, Alaska attempted to lightly bat her sister away to no avail. “Oh, that friend of yours has a boyfriend? Huh.” The dramatic sniffling wouldn’t work, not even after their long period of separation. Alaska was still immune to at least that.
Alaska buried her face in her hands and groaned. “Goddammit. Fine. Let me find some medicine first okay?”

"Sooooooooooooo?" Nevada scooted even more closer, "Then I will try to make you feel better..." There was a lot of hugging and awkward groping from the younger twin. Because that made things better.
"Ah yes, Everyone on the Island eventually hooks up with somebody. We are too lonely if we don't." Nevada hissed, thinking of Roland. "I was even...at some point. Messed it up though." She yawned.
"YAAAAAAAAY SICK VACATION." Nevada smiled happily, rolling out of the bed and onto the floor. Where she laid until her sister got medicine.

There was a lot of mumbling and grumbling from the older twin; this was simply not the best way to cheer the grump up. But since Nevada was Alaska’s little sister, she let it slide for now.
Alaska crinkled her nose. “I guess given the circumstances, it’s not too surprising. Stress and pre-apocalyptic atmosphere and all that.” She shrugged. “I didn’t mind them, but it’s not like I need them. Not often, anyways.” She narrowed her eyes at her twin’s hiss. “Do I need to hear the details about this?”
She rolled her eyes, but got out of bed and searched through her suitcase for some medicine. After popping a couple pills, she changed into more suitable clothes and then checked her hair in the mirror. “Alright then. Where are we going?”

"Only if you want too." Nevada shrugged, looking at her twin. "I kind of fail at being a girlfriend." She waited till Alaska was done before getting up.
"I don't know, anywhere! Any place." Nevada took her sister's hand in hers and let them swing between them. "I kind of want to go shopping. We haven't done that since you left." Nevada looked over at her twin, "And since our styles are so different now."
The walk was fairly light, simple with a few teases from Nevada and probably grumps from her sister. The lighthouse right in front of them.

“Well,” she began, “since I am your sister and I’ve been gone for a long time, I suppose it’d be good to hear about what kind of things you’ve been up to.”
“Shopping it is, then.” Alaska gripped her twin’s hand firmly, indulging her younger sibling by swinging her arm along too. She could only shrug at her observation. “I’d rather that than have us uncannily pick the same exact clothes over and over. That’d be pretty damn creepy and annoying.”
Occasionally she would jab her sister’s side with her elbow, but for the most part filled their conversation with brief responses and grumbling. “Is there anything in mind that you want to buy or are we just going to window shop like usual?”

"There is a lot to tell you." Nevada whispered over at her twin. "Yeah, it was creepy. But funnier when we switched to mess with the relatives." She shrugged, "I see that we still have a good appreciation of heels." She pointed to her sisters boots and then to her own.
"I want to get a gift for Stormy but other than that, I've collected a decent amount of cash since we've been on the island. about 2000$ or so." She cocked her head a little.
She waved to one of the portal guys in the lighthouse, winking at him and pointing at the piece. "Going to New york Handsome!" She smiled, "Portal in about 5 or 6 hours please?" She nodded before tugging her sister through. The portal dropped them hazardly into one of the alleys of times square. Luckily for them it was just a little past 3pm, so plenty of time for shopping.
"I had a boyfriend before the Island, who was terrible. And then on the Island I met Roland. And at first he was just like, this innocent cuddle buddy." Nevada looked over at her twin, "We started dating, but never really saw each other. I thought he was...seriously in love with guys. Like two guys." She clutched her chest. "And I met a guy named Tuck and things kind of derailed from there. I cheated on Roland by sleeping with Tuck, and Roland and I got in a arguement and he hit me with his weapon and ever since then...." She looked over to Alaska, shame clear in her own green eyes.
"I slept by your pod, and you woke up. Just in time."

Alaska shrugged. “A lot of things change, but not everything,” she stated in a matter-of-fact tone while maintaining her straight posture, walking across the grounds with strong grace.
“$2000? Impressive. I’ve only been here for a few weeks, so I don’t have that much money.” Her lips pressed together. “I guess I’ll have to wait a while longer before I can get most of the necessities and items that I want.”
Eyes narrowed halfway when Nevada winked at one of the hunters manning the portals. “I see that part of you hasn’t changed much, huh?” the raven-haired woman mumbled before the pair were whisked to Times Square. Tires rolling and footsteps against pavement filled her ears, but not enough to drown out her sister’s voice. It would never be enough.
Her nose crinkled. “Two guys? Awkward.” She was pretty sure she didn’t want to know who the two guys were. Half-lidded bright green eyes stared back at Nevada. “We all make mistakes and it’s no use fretting over it forever. Take the time to pick up the pieces, then move on. That’s what life is about.” She tugged her younger twin toward a crossing intersection. “I always have impeccable timing, don’t you remember?”
