Yeah, it's up later than the other contests. Moving on.

GUILDAVESARY 2013 SPRITING CONTEST (YAAAAAY!)

-Entry fee is 500 (per contest)
-Need two contestants per contest for it to be a contest. If one contest becomes has (at least) two entries and another doesn't generate the interest, we'll just have the one contest (if you sign up for one and are the only person, your entry fee will be refunded: your work will gladly be showcased if you like, though).
-The more people there are participating, the bigger the prize! Two participants = 25K, three = 35K, four or more = 50K. That's for top prize. The prize beneath that will be half, and if there are enough competitors, the third prize is half of second.
-Get those entries in by the end of July 4th. If people need more time (especially since this was put up late) it'll likely be added.

Overworld Spriting: SpotPass 'dat Class (to the GBA)!
Take a class introduced in Awakening and create an GBA overworld sprite for it (who knows: the guild may end up using it)! Overworld sprites are small compared to other spriting endeavors, making them a great starting point for anyone interested in starting spriting, also!

Mug Spriting: It's a New Era!
Take a character from a particular era of spriting SNES: 3-5, GBA: 6-8, etc... and make a mug for them from another era of spriting. Taking something NOT SNES/GBA and making it into one of those would be easiest approach (but by all means, try to make a FE9/10 style mug!).

*raises hand* Is there a first comes, first serves on which class/character we choose for the contest?

There aren't any such restrictions. If everyone wound up doing the same class/character, in fact, it would be easier to compare them. Sprite what or whomever you want.

Just sayin that peeps should join this. The overworld one is pretty simple- you can find most 13 overworlds on the FE Wiki.

These are the overworld for classes introduced (or are custom, such as the lords) that I could find. Couldn't get a War Cleric. Or sorcerer. No normal trickster with the hat. No female merc. No Griffon Knight. No Dark Knight. No Merchant.

If you can find more, or get more, please post them. The Fe spriting/hacking community really needs to get on it with getting these overworlds.

I do have a question; Are we making JUST generic overworlds, or can we also make custom ones for certain major enemies like FE does on occasion?

As long as you're doing a new class, sure. Walhart's a good example.

Voting time! Special thanks to our participants for making it happen and their efforts. The "Spotpass 'dat Class" Overworld Spriting entries are:

Entry 2: War Cleric

Also, unfortunately there was only one entry for Mug Spriting category so there's no contest for it, but you guys should see what a good job Rath did with it:
