The user of this Psionic will have the heterochromia: their eye colors being based on the binary data that gives them their abilities. Riley's colors are orange and sky blue. The beams of energy can come from either the eyes or the hands. Due to his shattered psyche, the orange beams only come from his right side, and the blue comes from his left.

Riley Zander is an illegitimate child of a wealthy businessman, to this day, Riley has yet to learn his name. Even though he did not know his father, he was pushed constantly by an overbearing mother to be like him, for her benefit. She was known around the city as someone of a less than reputable profession, all for the sake of escaping poverty. Tried as she might, the men she enchanted with her wiles eventually lost temptation and left her. Over time, she became bitter and tried to gain financial status through going after the fathers of her children in court. Every time she would do so, not only would she lose more money, but she lost a child to use as a bargaining chip as well. Social Services removed Riley from the house by the age of 11, but by then the damage was done: He no longer cared for no one but himself, as he believed that he was no better than his mother had told him he was. This low self-esteem got him bullied as the uncaring piece of trash everyone, including himself, thought he was. It wasn't until the age of 15, and severe counseling, did he finally pick himself off the ground and fight back.
A big chunk of his bullies went to Virtua High, and Riley went without knowing his tormentors would be there as well. In the first month, they had already learned of their abilities and got to work using them to constantly beat money out of Riley, as his abilities had yet to be explained to him nor did he know how to use them. Then it got worse. Every day, the entire group took turns knocking him around, until he let loose a blast from his eyes so powerful he nearly shattered his own mental state. In a single blast, he removed all his rage and hatred, and his sorrow was destroyed. His psyche never truly recovered from that blast, but since then, he's been just an average guy in terms personality and friendships. From then on, he swore to himself to not let anyone bully him or anyone close to him ever again, and has become a sort of advocate for anti-bullying in Virtua.
Personality: Due to his split psyche, Riley has transformed from a very quiet self-deprecating guy, to someone who is kind but soft-spoken. He will stand up for himself, but he will not go out of his way to create conflict with others. He has a habit of talking to people who seem lonely, as he does not want them to become anything like he used to be. When angry, or should his friends be threatened, he cannot control his abilities as his eyes will glow and if he were to unclench his hands, he would fire lasers immediately.
