Behind all this, he is a doting older brother, never failing to take care of his sister.

History: Surprisingly, Makoto never came from any Quincy bloodline. But there's no denying he had some semblance of spiritual awareness. Three years ago, on a rainy day, he witnessed his family being slaughtered by some shadowy creatures he never realized were Hollows. The only one to survive was his little sister, who was sick in bed at the time. Makoto thought for sure he would die next, but miraculously, his life was saved by a man named Hinanji. For three days, Makoto followed the guy begging him to teach him how to do what he did, but in the end, Hinanji (in order to get the boy to shut up) foisted him upon a woman named Sango for training. Needless to say, the next three years weren't easy.
Makoto has no interest in participating in any scuffles involving the Soul Reapers. All that mattered to him was protecting his remaining family any way he could. In order to support her and to get some spending money in general, he recently started working at Leere Seshiro's restaurant. Whether Seshiro knew the boy was a Quincy or not was anyone's guess.

Bow Appearance: While it resembles Uryu Ishida's initial "Kojaku" in shape, it is white in color instead of blue.
Attacks: Of course, Makoto's bow can fire arrows of light like any other. However, as he is still training, he can't make the arrows curve, but they are exceptionally fast.
Abilities: Hirenkyaku - an Advanced Quincy movement, allowing the user to move at high speed by riding on the flow of Reishi created below their feet
