I'm not sure if anybody noticed it, but if you choose the human mage origin story, the game is set so that your last name is Amell. Which means, Hawke and the Warden are essentially cousins, pretty crazy when you think about of it. Now I'm hoping that the main character in DA3 can be related to the Amell family in one way or another, its unlikely but I'm hoping for the option to have all the heroes related in some way.

I don't care if they are all related or not, I just hope they get a good amount of screen time rather than a tiny mention.

It was already announced that they won't be a part of the Cousland or Amell family. Sorry sad

SR3_SINNER I don't care if they are all related or not, I just hope they get a good amount of screen time rather than a tiny mention. Don't want a make it yourself story like dark souls? But it is neat to see that there is a connection, and i wonder if the other characters names make appearance as well?

Also in the MOTA DLC tallis asks you about warden and hawks talks about them being cousins.

I never played Dark Souls to its fullest, I kept raging xD Or a Thief class isn't good enough... Anyways, yeah I never knew Hawke and Amell were cousins, because my main default last name is Cousland, and I don't think they are related to to either Amell or Hawkes. I do hope I can be related to my warden though... But like you said, it's doubtful.

I wonder if you start as the elves or dwarves they make mention or if its just the humans that get the mention? Time to start a couple playthroughs for me!
ps. I would highly recommend trying dark souls again, and try a different classes such as wanderer or the pyromancer.
