Princess x Rival Prince- Dante and (a) Used to be childhood friends, and then after a fight grew apart, and began hating each other. To help both of their kingdoms, their parents had decided to set them up for marriage. Will they make amends or break each other before they can even tell the other how they feel?
Dante Kuro Age: 23 Build: Toned Likes: Sweets, sword play, reading Dislikes: His best friend that never forgave him, being in the summer house Bio: When he and his friend (a) where younger they used to go play together at their summer homes near the border. They were both the eldest of the two rival countries that settled down at one point. He had lots of fun with the girl and they were happy. They got into a fight one day when they were nine and haven't spoke or saw each other since. When he was 15 he went back to the summer home to see if he would see her again so he could make up with her but she never came. Not once. As the years went on he stopped going and took away all the hope he had of being friends with her once again. He threw himself into his sword training and tried to push her to the far corner of his mind because it was simpler that way.

Akira Shiro Akira stood in front of a huge canvas by the window painting the scenery she saw there with precision. This was her hobby the one thing that kept her calm and rational but that was stopped when her parents entered and interrupted. It was strange that they'd enter that room at all usually they were so busy that they'd only ever see each other at dinner. She gently put down her pallette and paint brush on a nearby table and wiped her hands on a hankercheif. "Mother, Father what brings you here?" she asked politely even though she knew it had to be something important in order for them to go to her to speak. "Aki, we need to talk," her father started as he glanced over her painting. "We are having a guest over tomorrow. He is a suitor which your mother and I picked for you long ago. Please try to get along with him." he said. She knew instantly who he was talking about. "Father, there is no way I am marrying that boy," she said angrily but still not raising her voice. "But you two were such good friends certainly you can get along with him again," her mother interjected. "Mother we parted on bad terms, there is just no way," she said. "I can pretend to be polite but still I'm not going to marry him." Her father gave her a stern look. "Akira stop being a child! You are marrying him because that is your duty as princess, understand?" he yelled in frustration. "As you wish," she said kicking the eisle making it fall. She walked out of the room and took stroll in the garden. While there she called for her sword and for her sparring partner. She defeated him too quickly which gave her plenty of time to think of the best friend she once had. 'He probably hates me anyway. I never did get a chance to speak to him afterwards but he never properly apologized anyway,' she thought. After so many years of trying to forget him her parents found a way to bring him back into her mind.

Akira Shiro Akira watched as her sparring partner stood for a second try but her head was filled with so many thoughts she couldnt concentrate. As her opponent attacked she only defended and was being pushed back. He struck again and her weapon fell to the ground, and she was unarmed. "Good job," she said quietly her mind obviously was on other things that she deemed more important than practice. "That will be all for today. Please put my sword away." She went to her room and locked herself in the rest of the day. She didnt want to see the people who had set her up with her childhood friend. Someone who she had had a fight with over something that was a big deal to her but it had been so long she hardly remembered the reason. All she knew was that he had never apologized and that her last words to him were very harsh. She regretted saying what she did but was too proud to apologize for it. The next day she spent a lot of time painting as usual until one of the servants informed her that it was almost time. She had to go upstairs and get all prettied up just for him. Someone who until recently was in the far corners of her memories. After putting on her best dress she stood in from of the mirror to check that she looked decent, for her father's sake. She looked out the window and saw the carriage and realized she was late. So she quickly ran down to where her mother and father were to meet her future husband.

Akira Shiro As soon as she reached the room she straightened herself making sure she looked presentable. She opened the doors a bit went in and closed them behind her. She apologized to her father who looked a litle angry at her and told her to take her place which she did obediently. She stood by her father with her arms crossed waiting for him to arrive. She looked to the doors as the butler pushed them open and announced the arrival of their guest. She looked at him as he spoke to her father who seemed to love him already. Dante hadn't changed, well maybe just a bit he was taller and he was certainly just a bit handsome, but still her feelings wouldnt change. She smiled as he bowed and spoke to her. "Its been a while Dante," she said bowing to him politely. There were definitely other things she wanted to say to him but because she was with her parents and her family's reputation was at stake she had to keep somewhat quiet.

▁ ▂ ▄ ▅ ▆ ▇ █ ĐÄŅȚË ĶŮŖÖ █ ▇ ▆ ▅ ▄ ▂ ▁ Dante stayed as good as he possibly could while he went to sit down at the table with the rest of the family. He tried to stay poised like a gentleman because he was an adult and not a child that he would throw a tantrum and start a fight with her just because she was there. He didn't say anything as the food was being brought up to him by the servants there.
'She makes everything difficult without trying.' He thought. The air felt heavy even though he held a kind face it wasn't true to his own feelings and he was sure hers wasn't either. He ate until he decided he would talk again. "How has your kingdom been doing as well as yourselves? I haven't heard what has been going on here since I last came." He said politely to the King and Queen.

It looked like there was much more small talk to be done before she could actually say what was on her mind. She watched the waiters and chefs as they set up the plates and food. It all looked very delicious, they were all dishes that were part of her nation's culture. She then looked to her parents whe were busy whispering to each other and then glanced at Dante before letting out a sigh.
When the servants finished serving the food she thanked them and began eating. She was split between wanting to talk to him to catch up on what they had missed and just kicking him out. With him there, the good memories they had were seeping in through her facade. She watched as he and her parents spoke. She kept quiet, mostly because it seemed like he just wanted to speak to them and not her which she couldnt blame him she sort of felt like that but it didnt last too long she decided to interrupt her father who was speaking about the poor economics they were going through. "On the bright side, our people are going through a renaissance. They are discovering their creative sides through many different kinds of art. And they're selling well in different parts of this kingdom. What of your kingdom?" she asked though not really caring it was asked more out of courtesy to keep the conversation alive.

She quietly listened to him as he spoke to her his voice smooth and now matured. It sort of irked her that her emotions were so unpredictable at the moment. "You know, I'm glad your kingdom is doing well. I know, perhaps I should give you a few paitings to show to your people. Maybe they'll be inspired to come up with artistic ideas as well, I'd love to see what they'd come up with," she said with a warm smile. Her animosity was toward him and not his people therefore she was really interested in them, at least when it came to art. She took a drink from her cup but paused when he mentioned her broccoli shaped trees. She gently put her cup down. "That was long ago I was still a child then. Of course, I have improved substantially. In fact I've been working on a window scene up in the library. I could take you to see it after dinner If you'd like. And then perhaps we may get to speak alone." Her father looked at her and it was apparent that he did not want them alone especially since he knew she didnt like him. "Perhaps some other day Aki. Dante must be exhausted after such a long ride here," he interjected.

Unless you wish to keep me from getting to know my own fiancée," she said to him. She really hated the fact that she had used that word but it was the only way to convice her father. Her mother put her hand on the king's and then he nodded in agreement. "Fine you two may speak in private. Aki, you know what I expect from you," he said. She nodded. "Yes, father I will behave myself," she said. The she looked to Dante, "So have you accomplished anything since we last saw each other?" she asked though she sounded a little arrogant.
