Personality: When she was young, her brothers gave her the nickname ‘Mouse’. She gave a faint smile but said nothing. Gabriella is a quiet, shy child that was lost amongst the louder, domineering personalities of her siblings. At school, she’s the girl in the corner. She follows her group of friends, barely noticed and never making a peep.
It’s not that she wants to remain the little mouse in the corner, but Gaby isn’t sure how to fix it. When she tries to speak, her little voice fails to turn heads. She’s realised it’s easier to just remain silent. She’s extremely self-conscious and has a very low self-esteem, leading to a very unhappy girl who really just wants someone to pay attention to her.
Despite all that Gaby has a great capacity for hope. Even when she gets down, every morning she tells herself that things will change. Sooner or later she’ll find the courage to be different. She is kind and generous person; always on hand to help someone out if they are in need. She likes to feel useful and she’s at her happiest when she’s busy doing something, whether it be helping her mother clean the house or taking he neighbours dog for a walk.
Appearance: A petite girl with a round face and freckled splattered across her nose and cheeks. Her hair is a few shades darker than her eyes, giving her very ‘brown’ appearance. She tends to choose bland clothing to go with it. Her style is designed by comfort. She favours oversized jumpers (or sweater) and jeans.
History:
Gabriella was born to two loving parents who forgot how to love each other a few years later. Her father left, leaving behind Gaby, her mother and her three older brothers. After that Gaby was barely a blip on the radar for her mother. Between her louder troublesome sons and her demanding job, her attention was stretched too thin for her to notice her very quiet daughter.
They moved a few times before finally settling in Teufel Town when Gaby was seven. She found it hard to fit in. Her shy nature and the girls she naturally gravitated towards, meant she never had anyone she could truly call her friend. Nobody even seemed to care if she was around. After a while it seemed easier not to try too hard. Every night she would tell herself things would get better. The only she gets, the harder it is to believe it, but she still has hope.
Gaby's life has not been full of big events; only a slow creeping sadness that has settled too early on her young shoulder. She is just one little mouse scurrying through life, wanting to be noticed but also terrified of the very thought.
Family:
Father: Harry Baumann (52) [born in America to German immigrants]: Gaby doesn’t know her father well. He left soon after she was born and only calls couple of times a year.
Mother: Beatrice Fletcher (43) [originally from Britain]: An often bitter woman who often talks about returning to England but doesn’t want to go through the process of dragging her four children overseas. She’s busy, determined and doesn’t have much time for petty problems. While she adores her only daughter, she is guilty of sometimes forgetting Gaby is around.
Siblings:
Daniel Fletcher (21): Just about ready to leave home, Daniel failed every sort of schooling imaginable only to find himself with an Electricians apprenticeship. He’s cocky and self-centered.
Theodore Fletcher (17): The most good-natured and hardest working of the three brothers, Theo is Gaby favourite. He is the only one who spends time with his sister, often taking her out to movies. He hopes to be a lawyer.
Justin Fletcher (15): Loud, brash and overly-confident. Justin’s world is his friends. He sometimes doesn’t return home at night, sending Beatrice into hysterics when he finally does drag himself in at 4 in the morning. He has, as far as anyone can see, no ambition at all.

Gaby asked to be popular and that has effected her powers in two distinct ways.
When in battle against a Witch, Gabriella becomes to the focus of attention. The Witch wants to attack Gaby and only Gaby.
Unfortunately however, Gaby is entirely useless physically and so while she’s busy avoiding attacks, it’s up to her team to make use of the time she gives them. Her strength lies in her speed, which she desperately needs since she can’t take a hit very well.
She also affects her fellow Puella Magi, her mere presence giving those who fight alongside her an energy boost.
Outfit: Kind of dull and brown and slightly mousey, but also super cute. ;o; Does that make sense?

WITCH FORM:
Name: Vera
Type: Forgotten Rodent Witch
Description: Her lonely nature makes her cry out for attention. She is only happy when people come to see her and so does her best to entertain them. But even then they so rarely pay attention to her.
Nature: Loneliness
Appearance: Vera is tiny and when she is seen, appears as a shadowy creature darting around the corners of her own maze. Her true appearance is never defined; she has forgotten it and so have you. It sometimes seems as though she is made entirely of smoke and haze; dissipating before your eyes.
Barrier/Maze: The outer layer is a dark underground tunnel, like something scratched out by an animal. The very centre of the maze is the inside of a mouse cage. The ground is covered in shredded newspaper and running wheel endlessly rotates. There are numerous brightly coloured rodent houses.
Location: The local school; primarily the basement. She attracts the lonely and unwanted, promising an end to their sadness.
Attack(s): She constantly runs away. Where as a Puella Magi, she was impossible to ignore, so it's hard to notice she's there. She blends in with Stuart, rushing forward to scratch and bite before dissolving away again into the corners of her maze. She is not very strong, but she's fast and agile and uses her home area to her advantage. if you follow her into darkness, you're in for big trouble.
Grief Seed: It contains her old symbol inside and its construction reminds one of a metal animal cage, often used to house rodents or birds.
MINION #1 FORM:
Name: Willard
Duty: Welcoming Vera and willingly lead any visitors to the middle of the maze.
Appearance: A small grey rodent with a long tail and very big ears.
Attack(s): They do not attack unless provoked and only then he sneak in a bite or two.
MINION #2 FORM:
Name: Brittany
Duty: Talking
Description: She chatters constantly about the next party she wants to have, but Vera is never invited. She hates intruders and will attack without mercy.
Appearance: A willowy shadow girl with a big grin.
Attack(s): She strikes with a shriek, trying to coil around and suffocate her enemies.
MINION #3 FORM:
Name: Stuart
Duty: Company
Description: They are meant to keep Vera company, but always seems to disappear when she needs them most.
Appearance: A slinky dark ferret with big eyes.
Attack(s): They attack en masse, a wave surging out of the darkness.

Other Notes:
Gabriella’s wish, if she became a Puella magi, isn’t a very well thought out one. She would quickly realise that being popular isn’t really what she wanted at all. Just because she’s suddenly being mobbed by the kids at school, doesn’t mean that their really her friends or even that they care about her. This fact will hit her hard and make her worry that nobody she meets ever really likes her or if its just the wish taking effect.
