The Plot The year is 3011, AD. After years of war and betrayal on th planet of Earth, many former states and unions have split and many have come together as one. However far on the eastern continent of Asia still lay the island of Japan. Due to the outstanding advances in technology and the creation of robots, sometimes and mostly used as slaves, apprentices, hard laborers, and care-takers, Humans began to fear and exile them. Feeling the robots were replacing their own humanity. The robots were used for most jobs, taking income from many lower and middle-class working humans, they exiled the robots to a side of Tokyo called 'Old Tokyo'. A sub-city beneath the new and bustling New Tokyo above.
The story takes place in this new democracy of Humans and Robots. No human has let a robot into their own personal government, and no robot had dared break any of their programmed laws. However, not all humans felt the same about robots.. some have fallen for their sometimes human-like appearance, and others have become racist to the new breed of walking metal. Who are you, and what are your views? Nothing matters as this is the way the world is.
Some robots such as care-takers have been programed with emotions such as to relate to children. Some robots such as slaves are programed with no feelings at all.. Other robots such as apprentices and hard laborers are nothing more than walking metal who are usually destroyed within their work. However, beneath the exiled sub-city of Old Tokyo lives a human genius by the name of Yoshizawa. He is a genius in the science of robotics. He has been creating free-willed robots who appear and seem like actual humans. As his research furthers he has been sending his new creations out into New Tokyo to interact with the humans, and swearing to keep their true identities a secret. After some data collected he has decided to build a fleet of humanesque-robots.. all with their own programable personality. However, it isn't that easy. Each robot born must learn all of their own human emotions and work through their troubles living in New Tokyo alongside the humans..
