After a nice time over at the theme park, Kettil pretty much was ready to do something else that was not going on all the rides available. He wanted to save his energy for walking about in the jewelry store and he didn't even need to talk Freya into it.
Kettil held onto her hand and swung it between them as if he was the happiest thing in all of Halloween, probably because he was the happiest thing in all of Halloween. He didn't say much right now as he absorbed the presence of Freya near him.
When they got to the door of the jewelry store he pretty much pulled the door open for her, "After you," he announced.

Swinging hand to hand down the street put Freya in a light hearted mood. There were moments when she felt so light, her wings fluttered in the breeze, and she hovered off the air for a moment or two, still taking phantom steps even as she moved forward. She would always land, touching the ground and hopping along as if nothing had happened.
Each step that took them closer to a jewelry store made her feel more and more excited. She jittered when they arrived, and moved to walk inside with a curtsey. "Such a gentleman." She giggled up at him.
But then she was surrounded by beautiful, expensive jewelry, and she lost herself in the glow.
"Accchh.. one of everything, please."

Kettil grinned a bit at Freya when she called him a gentleman, "I do what I can, m'lady," he bowed right back at her after he entered the store as well. Shelves upon shelves of all things that glittered, it was enough to dazzle even him. Freya asked for one of everything and the spell was broken for him just long enough for him to utter a short laugh.
"If I could, I would buy you one of everything and then some. I'm afraid I ain't that rich yet, TĂșkut. Maybe one day, though," he said wistfully as he began to move forward to get a glimpse of all the rings that were on offer.
The boil pursed his lips and let out a low whistle at some of the price tags.

Freya turned around and gave him a giant grin, before following his footsteps to go look at rings. The beauty and style of each one was the first thing that caught her eye, so when he whistled, she assumed he was doing so out of respect for the quality of the jewelry.
"Ja," She sighed. "All so beautiful. We should get them teh match my ring, and match each other." She held out her hand, sighing once more but this time in aw e of the beauty on her hand. "Such good taste."
Her, of course.

Kettil let out a small chuckle, "Yeah, they're pretty nice," he agreed. He gazed at the ring on her hand and then at her with a bit of an incredulous stare. Um. Excuse him but uhhh...
"Good taste in what?" He asked curiously.
He directed his eyes back on the jewelry for the moment since he would need to figure out something that sort of matched what was on Freya's hand. After a few seconds a representative was standing and watching them.
"See anything you liiiiike?" There was a hopeful tone to the voice of the store clerk.

"Men, for one." She purred, leaving a kiss on his cheek.
The clerks question was a trick one. Of course she saw things she liked.. SHE LIKED EVERYTHING. But she knew that was the wrong answer, and so she sucked her lips in, and bit down on both of them. Kettil was going to have to do the haggling, because Freya would end up buying the whole store if she said another word.

Kettil leaned into the kiss on his cheek, "Good choice of words," he praised her.
The clerk seemed to be amused at the exchange, "Love birrrds~~? How lovely," on the name tag the name of the clerk appeared to be Vanessa Horrid.
The boil looked at the clerk and smiled brightly, "Yeah! We're going to get married," he gazed down at the selection of rings. "We were wondering if there is a selection of rings you could maybe suggest for those on a ... budget?"
Ms. Horrid paused and looked between them, but there was no real distaste on her face. She pursed her lips and began to pick through some rather cheap looking rings, "If we're talking about budgets..."
Kettil stared.

When the clerk looked at them, Freya immediately looked away. She buried her face into Kettil's shoulder and giggled. This was going to be difficult for her, but she was going to be as non-active as possible, simply so as not to get over-reactive around jewelry. That awful poker face..
When the rings were brought out, she peeked for a moment, then buried her head back in Kettil's shoulder and whispered something quietly into his shirt.
"Not for us."

Kettil peered down at his ghoulfriend and raised an eyebrow and murmured back, "How so?"
Ms. Horrid looked from one to the other and just smiled demurely. Fingertips brought out nicer rings, "Now for those on a little bit of a higher pay scale we have these."
"I see," he said thoughtfully as he looked at the nicer quality rings.

She gave Kettil an imploring look. It wasn't like she could answer in front of the clerk.. they'd take advantage of Freya's desires. So she smiled awkwardly, and looked at the higher priced rings. They were obviously a much better fit, and she looked pleased with all of them, but she was keeping her lips tightly shut, and her eyes moving.
Never let them see you sweat, she told herself. She was totally into this whole stealth shopping thing.

Kettil glanced at Freya with a bit of a smile and then looked at the Clerk, "If ya could get lost for a moment while we look over everything?"
Ms. Horrid paused a moment and then pouted, "Well alright. I'll be in the back taking stock."
The boil offered a thumbs up and watched as the figure left. He turned his attention to the rings and Freya, "Let's make this easy. I'll go through and pick out two sets, but you must decide on which ONE you want on our hands."
Kettil paused before he started going through the rings one by one. It was easy for him. That was too gaudy. This was too thin. That looked too girly. Eventually he ended up with two sets of rings.
(( Set One | Set Two ))

Freya breathed a sigh of relief and giggled at Kettil's unsubtle way of telling the clerk to leave. When she did, she grinned up at Kettil and kissed his cheek. Then she lunged for the rings, but he gave her a safe, helpful option. "Oh." She whispered, watching him sort them out so efficiently. "Okays!" She waited, biting her lip to keep from making any remarks, but when he presented her with two, she knew she'd chosen the right man to marry. Because he was perfect, in every way. Even jewelry. She kissed his cheek and pointed at the one she wanted. "It was there all alongs."

He leaned into the kiss on the cheek with a small laugh, "Sorry I didn't just let you dive in there and just overload on shiny things," he murmured to her apologetically as he watched her look over his choices. After all she had just as much say as he did.
After all if she wanted to look them all over she could have, he wouldn't have stopped her if she reached over him to do so.
Kettil beamed happily at her pick, "I think it suits us~," he agreed cheerfully as he sort of pushed the other rings away and pulled that particular set closer to him.
"Should we try them on?" He asked almost in a conspiratorial and excited voice.

Freya went wide eyed and put her hands on Kettil's lips, shushing him. "Don't looks so excited, Hooter. If the clerk sees yeh, she'll charge yeh full price. Yeh has teh be like, ach, maybe this one is okays, even though it's just not really.." She let the phrase trail there, because she was looking at the rings again, and her own face was lighting up with excitement. "That is why I have been keeping silent. I can't haggle. I can't even really keep a straight face around things. I'm leaving it up teh yeh! Go gets it baby!"

He sort of stared at her with her finger on his lips. Kettil let her talk and he let her explain her reasoning behind her motivations and he sort of seemed to calm down for a moment.
At least til her finger went away, "But Freyaaa...I mean what are the chances..that we find the rings we want to be our rings in the first store we go to?" He laughed a bit and fought down a blush.
"I can't help it I guess. You get me all excited and revved up..." He said quietly with a fond look.
