She didn't mind that though. What else did she need besides that really cool mom who was both mom and dad? Nothing. She did how ever miss out on a lot of things due to her mother's personality when she was older. She never went to any kind of school till college. She only really talked to people in the family till then. And eventually after she got out of the house and was on her own she started saying she didn't want to go back to her home. She started dating a boy, talking to other people, she got an apartment close to where she was studying cosmetology. Another thing she got into when she left the home was makeup. But a few years after college and having a few jobs here and there. Leda had found out her mother had become very ill. So of course the girl packed her bags and headed for home to take care of her. Or at least to spend time with her since her mother was the type that never accepted help from others. Like Leda thought she would, her mother refused help. Saying that everything was fine and that she was glad Leda came back home. Everything stayed like that for a few months. Leda stayed home, found a job that could help pay the bills, and tried to get her mother to let her help out.
xoxoA few years have passed since then and Leda has now moved to the island. Finding herself a little home and a job at the Sugar Salon. She loves her knew home and the difference between home and the island. Occasionally Leda will send letters home asking how everyone else is and keeping in touch with the rest of her family. Everyone was having a hard time after Leda's mother passed away. Before at her old job, Leda had to take a lot of time off just to make sure everyone was okay at home. Now she just tries to accomplish that through phone calls and letters. She still visits every once in awhile but it is very rare. She never got along with anyone and normally had a bad attitude towards other people. She never liked school because there were going to be other kids there.Melisa even tried to convince her father that she would be better off home schooled and that she would prefer it. But the man never listened. Instead he would go out to who knows where and leave her at the house with some babysitter that she never got a long with. Who were all of these girls anyways? She didn't know. It didn't matter either. While dad was gone, she would go to her room and sit there with Hogarth. There wasn't anyone she liked more than him. Even if he was just a dinosaur plushie. He did have the best personality at the time. She still keeps him next to her pillows along with the new dinosaurs that Leda gave her. Hogarth is still one of her favorites. But she wouldn't tell anyone that. Especially Leda since she is her other favorite person. The two girls have only known each other for a few years. Meeting in college because of a mutual friend that dragged them both to some weird event for New Year's Eve. At first, Melisa didn't think the two of them were going to get along. She didn't like her personality then really. She was always trying to be so nice to her and Melisa always gave the girl a negative response. Then one day Leda had gone back home to take care of her mother. And Melisa found herself missing the other girl. She wasn't sure why. So she looked up her number and gave her a call. Melisa tried to be nicer to Leda and supportive when she needed to be. It was an odd thing for her to do. She did spend a lot of her time disliking other people. So it was the first time that she tried to comfort some one. The girls became really good friends after that. Now they both live in Nirvani.
