First of all, WHY ARE ENGAGEMENT RINGS SO ******** PRICEY!?

Okay. But really, I need help.
I'm starting to look at engagement rings for Taylor.
I know that she wants a rose gold ring with a cushion cut diamond.
Everywhere I've looked, the rose gold rings are around $1,300.
That's money I don't have. Not ever close.
Do you guys suggest a certain jeweler? We don't have many around here.

Also, how do I find out her ring size? I know it's smaller than mine, but there are a lot of things that are smaller than my finger.

What did you guys do? What do you guys know?
Are you like, born knowing this stuff?

Can't you just ask her for her ring size? If she doesn't know it, maybe give her a cheap ring from Claire's or something in what you think might be her size and you can figure it out from there.

And also...I know rings are a lot, but I would suggest saving up so that you can get her a good one. Most jewelers offer insurance and even free resizing, so I think this is one of the times where it's best not to go cheap. If you think it would take too long to save up, you could give her a ring and promise that you'll get her the one she really wants when you can afford it. You could also keep an eye out for sales. And some places offer layaway and payment plans.

To be honest though, I don't think an engagement ring is a big deal- I love mine but honestly I would have been happy with anything. It's just a ring.

They have a lot of different kinds, and several options that are under $1000.

At $1300.00 per ounce anything with gold in it is expensive. I saved up and ended up paying a similar price when gold was cheaper.

Take the girl to a jeweler and have her finger measured. Its the only way to be sure. Most jewelers do this for free. They make their labor back several times if you buy a ring.
