⊰♠Kikasha ♠⊱
Upon entering what was left of the once great city of London, Markus stood and gave a disappointed sigh. Everything he had once known had literally gone to hell. He looked at all the buildings that were ruined, or broken down hoping to find something of a library, if that's what is was called, still standing, or at least in a decent condition. He wandered the streets reading the signs or banners for anything of what he was trying to acquire.
Kikasha had followed Markus into the city hiding behind whatever she could in order to not be spotted. He paused momentarily and again she ducked out of sight. Cautiously, she peered around the corner and watched him. She had no idea why she was following him in the first place, but something told her he was different. He didn't kill her in the woods, maybe he wasn't in the mood, or she wasn't worth his time, but she was intrigued by this. He was on the move again. She took another step out of her concealment, but something snapped under her foot. She doubled around to where she had been, cursing under her breath.
Hearing something shatter focused Markus' attention to an alley behind him to his left side. He drew his short blade and cautiously proceeded towards where he heard the noise. As he drew closer, he could sense a familiar angelic presence. Did the angel follow him? He sheathed the blade.
"
I know you're hiding behind corner. Show yourself."
He stood there waiting for a response.
Kikasha knew her cover was blown the moment she made that noise. She sheepishly stepped out from the alley and into his view. She didn't look at him, fidgeting due to the uncomfortable situation.
Markus walked up to the angel and crossed his arms.
"
May I ask why you are following me?"
Kikasha didn't answer. More or less, it was his overwhelming demonic power she could feel that was making her nervous. After a while, she spoke up, still not making eye contact.
"
I....well....I....I-I don't know....."
Markus looked around briefly and then looked back toward the Kikasha. This wasn't the first angel he made feel uncomfortable, but he could tell it nonetheless. He held out his hand towards her
"
Markus, who might you be?"
She shied away from the hand before answering, "
Ki....Kikasha..."
Markus thought it was a cute name for her. Had he said that out loud, he would have found something to impale himself with.
"
Nice name." he said with a faint smirk.
She blushed. Never had a demon complement her on her name before.
