The current model for exp gain in NSK at the moment is for there to be two different types of EXP. Normal exp, and Battle Exp (Missions will count towards battle exp. Note: Missions will always be moderated as a normal d20 campaign would be)

How exp is gained::

Players will be allowed to collect a set amount of Exp at the end of the week (Saturday). In order to recieve this exp however, players will need to meet a set word count ((The current set is 1,500 words)) As long as you meet this word requirement between Sunday and Friday, you will receive your points on Saturday.

Q. What if I don't log on Saturday?

A. The date of your rp post will be taken into account. There for you can always collect your points for the previous week on that following Monday. If this doesn't make sense just contact me directly and I can explain it further.

Q. What counts as normal rp?

A: When writing words to meet your requirement for the week any words you write count. This includes missions, training, learning jutsu, taking a bath, running a lap, etc. The spirit of this rule is to allow active players to continually grow without forcing players to dedicated unrealistic amounts of time to keep up. As long as you meet your word requirement to be labeled as an active week, you will receive the standard exp.

Q. So how do I gain strength over my peers if we get a set amount of Exp per week?

A: This is where Mission Exp comes into play. Until there is a player kage in control of a village, missions will be assigned by GM's. These missions will put players through the perils of the shinobi world, some including tracks, checks, rolls, NPC's the works. This is where the system will truly come into effect and every system ability that the player has at his or her disposel is fair game (the same goes for any possible NPC enemies one may encounter on said mission ninja ))

At the end of the missions a set amount of points will be awarded based on player rank and mission rank. Bonus points may also be awarded for performing exceptionally well, rping well, or even in some situations doing humorously poorly.

Q. So we have to wait for a GM everytime we do missions?

A: Yes and No. Not every single missions requires a tremendous amount of GM interference. Most missions will be setup in such a way that GM intervention should only be needed once every few rounds. Not until one gets to the more high ranked Missions will there need to be constant GM supervision. (In this case the Mission may be carried out in it's own thread to ease everyones eyes.)

Q. So what are we voting on?

A: Should we use the exp system as I have described it, or should I make the any of following changes...

1. Learning skills no longer counts towards normal exp gain
2. Exp is based solely on words typed. Ie, you get the amount of exp you rped for, not a set amount at the end of the week.
A/B Optional; Non system missions upon request (In other words, for reduced rewards a player may opt for a system less Mission. One that only requires them to meet a certain line requirement,)
