Not necessarily that you actually want them or anything, just a place to share your shelter-finds with everybody else because you think they're particularly cute or you can think of somebody else who will melt by seeing them.

Ex: Sally

Those big soulful coonie eyes just caught my attention and made me click on her picture, as well as reminding me of another coon-lover

-there are so many coon-looks-likes at the EHS right now, it's kind of killer to look-

Some fun names to share:
Captain Cuddles (a female)
Sir Isaac Mewton
Barbara Jean (actually, this one just kind of made me shudder/giggle -character off a show)
Mr. Bigglesworth (I giggle every time, especially because of his "I'm a big grumpy pants" look)

She's being fostered by a rather uneducated person, though.. sad

Quote:
Her fav. food is Elegant Medley Chicken Florentine (canned) and Whiskas pouches (salmon) and for a special treat she thinks vanilla ice cream is just "THE BEST TREAT EVER". She has a more sensitive "gut" than her brother and will do best on a regular, high quality diet. She is completely litter trained and has never had an accident, using a covered litter pan and clumping cat litter.

Ice cream = bad for cats
Fancy Feast and Whiskas = so far from high quality
Clumping litter = bad for kittens

More cuties

I think it's just because their coats are so scruffy-looking that they really caught my eye (just out of a bath, maybe?)

Rather obvious that we're right in the midst of kitten-rehoming-season (so many posts on facebook about kittens ready to be rehomed... at like 6 weeks old, if not younger emotion_facepalm )

Gwendolyn (who is a 16 year old female whose owner I think died. sad 16 is WAY too old for a shelter cat and I considered taking her to let her live out the rest of her days here).

I knew this thread would get you. I have no intentions of getting another cat any time soon, if ever, but I can't resist looking. Every few days, it's like a routine that I go through checking out the real estate listings, three shelters/rescues (there's order for going through them too, to a degree), and Petfinder (though I don't look at cats on there)

Isn't Mr B just adorable with that grumpy-sad look? At least they didn't name him Garfield, because he kind of reminds me of him from that picture.

You probably wouldn't claim that Fancy Feast is high quality, though.

I love looking at the kitties and making sure that they get adopted. Of course, when theyre pic goes, it does make me wonder about if they had in fact gotten adopted or what.

Fancy Feast is not high quality, but its a cheap wet food that wont break the bank and most cats eat it. Esp when theyre sick. wink

It's bad but I always feel slightly sad when the ones I like get adopted, because it means no more imagining them as mine or seeing their picture. Happy for them that they've found a home, but sad for myself that I've lost my dream-pet

I'm highly considering adopting him when I get my own place.

There's so many cute baby-kins right now that I know you'll just melt over that this way is probably just easier:

It's seriously a good thing I have no desire to own more cats at this point, and that this shelter's in the city a couple hours away or I'd be a crazy cat lady (and I'd have already gone and gotten me a collie)

I love his piercing blue eyes, and I don't normally like blue eyes on animals.
One of those "I kind of really hope he doesn't get adopted, but at the same time I feel bad for him being there" situations?

emotion_kirakira Mr Bigglesworth is still there!!!!! And Ill take Foster and Wilson while Im at it. XD

Im at my limit of 2, sadly. sad I dont have space for a 3rd and Mister, with his issues, wouldnt be fair to him.

Good news! Gwendolyn the 6 year old ginger cat (I posted a pic of her earlier in the thread) was adopted!! She was their pet of the week and theyve been having specials on adult cats which anything over 1 year is 50% off and anything after 7 years is 30$ I think.

I found this. As much as I dont care for persians...I kinder want her so I can brush her all day. And put little bows in her hair. emotion_kirakira

I know. I love seeing his picture and name and having a little giggle at it.

Glad she found a home - she deserves it.

And that cat's quite pretty-looking, for a Persian.

EHS
Jelly Bean
Breed: Domestic Medium Hair
Age: 2 yrs 7 mths
Sex: Female, Spayed
Color: Muted Tortie / White
Here Since: 2013-08-13

Mentions:
This cat is currently part of the Barn Buddies program. The adoption fee is therefore waived. This cat has a history of housesoiling. There is no apparent medical cause for the concern so it is likely behavioral. As an indoor home is not possible, a sheltered barn or other outbuilding with access to the outdoors would be required.

Omg craziness. Yeah I think if most people ended up with my Jellybean, she'd have ended up in a shelter or worse.
