Melvin opened a door to a Infirmary room and gestured for Diego to go inside. Once they were both inside, he moved with purpose to the bathroom, opened the door, and checked to make sure there was a bar of soap inside. Stepping out, he smiled. "Rin will be back with a set of fresh clothes. There is a unopened bar of soap in there. Feel free to take your time getting all of that off you. We can talk more when you're out."

Lawr sidled into the room and gave the shower a very grim look. He didn't protest, he wasn't someone who made angry and confident stands, he got what he wanted through other means, with a bit more passive patience. Besides, he kind of did need a shower, there probably was no time like the present.
"Um. Okay. I'll. Be back in a minute, Melvin? was it?"
He teetered uncertainly into the bathroom and closed the door. It took a bit - there were a lot of bangles and necklaces to be removed - before the sound of running water could be heard.

Rin poked in around the door to the room with a soft rap against the door, her face didn't emerge just to be safe but her hand did to offer a bottle of the strongest body wash she could find and a fresh clean towel. The pressed clean clothes in her possession had to be held to her body beneath her elbow.

Melvin opened the door just so and smiled. "Thank you. I'll give these to him. Hopefully it will do something about that mess that he is. I'll be right back. Stay by the door and I'll tell you when he is dressed.
He moved over and tapped on the door. "Rin brought some shampoo, a towel, and clothes for you." He said to the door, creaked it just enough to set the items down, and closed it again. It would have been too presumptuous of him to assume the man was not modest, and seeing as he just woke up, leaving him a moment of privacy in the sanctuary of hot running water was best. Bathroom door closed, he moved back to the door and opened it, frowning.
"Well this is just great. The pod melted his brain! I guess if he doesn't remember much, they'll still use him. Just have to pass him over to the doctors." He grumbled, crossing his arms as he leaned in the doorframe of the Infirmary room, glaring at the clipboard. "I was really sorta excited about waking someone up. Sort of a right of passage here, but I just had to get the faulty one." He flipped the paper over and tapped the paper with his hand. "Lawrence Weiman. He was no where close to that!"
Grumpy, the Lifer crossed his arms. It wasn't fair. :C

Lawr took his time. He felt like he was entitled to it. Wonder Park had been a damn nightmare and getting to wash away the blood and dirt made him feel more human again, less like meat or prey. When he finally felt like he'd gotten himself presentable again, he left the shower, stepping out to investigate what he'd been left to wear. Standard issue clothing by the slightly washed out look to them. He picked up the towels and dried himself off before donning the attire he'd been left with.
It was wretched. He was used to dressing in a way that got a reaction, that presented a front and made people draw conclusions, dressed like this he looked normal and much too human. Lawrence. The old Lawrence who'd clawed his way up out of the gutter and would do so again.
He put his bangles and necklaces back on and retrieved what he could from his pockets, particularly his tarot cards and his wallet. His wallet made his heart ache, all the pictures within of his cats like a dagger when he dwelt on it.
As dressed as he was going to get, holding his bundle of clothes to his chest, he sidled out of the bathroom. "I would like these washed if possible or somewhere to do so." He didn't want to wear trousers and bland, it was uncomfortable, he felt naked. "Please don't throw them away, they are sentimental to me."

Rin tilted her head at Melvin when he returned with a frown. She didn't immediately get why he looked so bummed - this was hilarious. "You'll certainly never forget this one at least, that's for sure." Yup, that was also a poke at you Melvin.
Rin gave the clipboard a distant and thoughtful glance. "When he comes out, let's greet him that way together and see what he does? Maybe it'll fix his memory?"
Then he emerged fully dressed and clean and pressed, they took a scruffy mess of a mutt and managed to get it presentable enough to possibly win best of show. "Hello again Lawrence Weiman, you look much better."

Melvin looked at the laundry and made absolutely no motion to take them, instead taking a step back. "Well, if you just....put them over there, I'm sure someone will make sure they get cleaned for you." It was more that Melvin didn't want to touch them, and he didn't want this guy carrying blood laundry with him all day after he got washed.
Melvin made a note not to touch this man's hands now.
At Rin's advice, he too continued. "Are you feeling better, Lawrence?"

Lawr was about to continue in the vein of making sure his important clothing was taken care of when the one armed woman - Rin, he noted - addressed him by his name. Not just any name. Not an alias. His name. The name his mother had given him, the name that had gotten him quite a bit of hassle at school, the name he'd ditched as soon as he realised he could be anyone he wanted to be.
He was an expert liar so being addressed that way seemed not to ruffle him in the least. "I'm not sure who you mean Rin. I'm Diego, as I said." Melvin got the same sugary sweet smile. "And yeah, I feel a little better. It's good to get rid of all that blood and gore." Though not so good to be out of his outfit, it was interfering with his psychic energies pretty damn badly.

No cigar. This guy was royally ******** with some sort of amnesia. Looking him over, he didn't seem damaged in any other way aside from a lack of taste in jewelry. Leaving the door open for Rin to enter, he went down to sit in a chair that was near the bed and gestured to it for him to sit.
"We don't usually see new awakened hunters in such a state as you. I don't suppose you remember what happened?" From what he knew, most hunters were approached and given a choice and left. Either this man had been a butcher in the past or something was up.
"Also we're here to answer all of your questions so please ask away. The tour will have to be postponed it seems."

"Shame," Rin commented in reply to his determination that Diego was his name. "That means you'll be staying in the infirmary until your memory recovers," she remarked distantly as she approached Melvin's side and settled in there. "Your brain might even be damaged in which case... I suppose I'm the bearer of bad news here but.. well.. no use to us defective."

Lawr maintained his friendly, sort of dazed smile as he sat down on the bed obediently. "Oh yes I remember all of it. Got called to visit a big fancy theme park. Very high security, called Wonder Park, they had monsters. Real monsters. Unicorns, dragons, you name it. We went on safari. And then the owner died and everything got loose. Most of the staff and visitors got eaten. I swam out to a boat and got pulled on board full of people in those coats." he pointed. "They did something to the island. Killed everything on it mostly. Then they knocked me out. Now I'm here." he shrugged, still in a sort of shock about the whole thing.
Rin telling him he might be stuck in the infirmary however, or the implied worst case scenario made him scowl for the first time since he'd awakened.
"Fine. My name is Lawrence Weiman. It is also Ian Weiman, Ian Mitchell, Diego Ramirez, Diego Weim and a lot of others. If you want me to go by that name. Then fine."
And the smile came back. "Wouldn't want to keep you both here all day."

Melvin just looked at him and frowned. "You lied." He was quickly loosing any sort of respect for this man. "Why the hell did you lie like that?! I thought your brain turned into pudding in the pod!" He said, rising up in his chair. He had been disappointed that he got to wake up someone who couldn't remember a damn thing and might have to either get podded or go through a long stay in the Infirmary before being cleared to be a Hunter without any recollection of who they once were.
Frowning, he sat back down. "This isn't a joke here. Don't lie about serious questions like that. Lie like that and you'll be stuck in the Infirmary, put back in a pod, or worse." Who knew how Caelius treated defective hunters.
Crossing his arms. "Well, Mister Weiman. Every hunter on this island has a jacket. It's your uniform here, and each symbol on the back belongs to a division that has specific duties to fight against the monsters you see. These monsters are created by Fear, the ones humans experience, and they create them and also their world - the world of Halloween. It's our job to fight against these Fear creatures. As you remember, they are very dangerous and have no care for the human race. In fact, there are many who wish to end it." He gestured to Rin. "Rin and I are members of Life. The other divisions are Life, Death, Sun, Moon, and Mist. You'll be assigned a department based on your talents laters."
Rising from his seat he headed to the door. "Since you're NOT a victim of amnesia, we can continue on our tour. I hope you won't be lying to us again. We're here to help you get welcomed here after all." He opened the door and waited for Lawrence to walk through.

Rin smirked. Well, at least Mel's first wasn't going to be euthanized. Then Melvin went off on an intellectual tangent of too many boring details. "And weapon. You get to go claim your weapon now."

Lawr listened to Melvin's shpeil about what the island entailed with very rapt attention, though outwardly looked like he might well have understood only a few words here and there. Life and death sounded like a pair, sun and moon too, mist he wasn't sure. Short of names there wasn't much other info. He also wasn't so sure about the having no care for the human race, the big fluffy dog he'd met had been pretty nice, a lot of the supposed monsters had seemed more like pets.
"Ooh a personal welcoming committee. That's nice at least." he got up and tottered to and through the door.
"Weapon? What's that exactly?" His memory trailed back to the man in the black sweater who had idly handed off his hooded coat and completely destroyed an enormous tentacle with the flick of a bladed and glowing whip. Was that what they meant?

Melvin did smile at this, feeling the need to get a kick out of this guy considering how stressed he'd been about having a pod-destroyed hatchling.
Looking to Rin, he reached behind his ear to the red pen and held it out. "This is Saliva, my weapon." He said as he walked slowly. He could feel Saliva smile.
In a moment, the pen changed into a gun, which Melvin held pointed up. "Every hunter on this island has a weapon, which is a monster created to serve you. A tool and your partner tied just to you and no one else for the rest of your life. To protect you and to destroy all of those monsters you saw that wanted to kill you, and you will be seeing more of those creatures if you like it or not."
